Still rocking my Gramp’s 500a1 from the 80s that he passed down to me at 16. Got some new furniture and a few trinkets thrown on since. 18" barrel, polymer action slide cover, pistol and foregrip with flashlight/laser 🤙

I have the 590 Tactical with a 20” barrel. I needed some info and there you were. Thank you.

At 3:30 after the "make sure your safety is off", you can clearly see the person is holding a Glock, which doesn’t have a thumb operated safety.

  10. Hungry Bird on January 25, 2023 at 1:43 am

I still have a 1960 mossberg and it’s a winner still. Accurate with a slug. The sight is a tiny bead and placed well .

  11. justin dunlap on January 25, 2023 at 1:44 am

personally I prefer the maverick 88 version of the mossberg 500 mainly because of the saftey being a crossbolt in front of the trigger gaurd.

  12. Louis Dufour on January 25, 2023 at 1:45 am

My first shotgun was a Mossberg 500. I upgraded to the Remington Marine Magnum. I am looking at buying a Mossberg Mariner with a extended Mag to replace the Remington I sold. Does anyone own the Mossberg Mariner that can give me pros and cons?

  13. NorthWest Ballistics on January 25, 2023 at 1:47 am

I just bought my Mossberg 500 brand new a couple nights ago. I look forward to spending stupid amounts of money modifying the hell out of it for all sorts of reasons. I also predict it will outlive me, and I’ll be passing it down to my kids.

Just got a 500a with pistol grip

  17. Eric B. on January 25, 2023 at 1:54 am

The Mossberg 500 will NOT jam like the older Remington 870.

  18. grabir01 on January 25, 2023 at 1:57 am

Never had the Mossberg when I was in the Army. It was Rem 12ga. I did know that the South African Police used the Moss for Riot Control. I have the Mossberg Persuader 12 ga. Owned it for 30 years or so. Has never malfunctioned. Not ever! Best shot gun I have ever owned.

  19. Mark Bennett on January 25, 2023 at 1:58 am

I’d like to thank Obama for inspiring me to arm my family to the teeth & learning about Mossberg of which I own a few.

  22. yobabybubba on January 25, 2023 at 2:03 am

I’m a new gun owner and I just got the Mossberg 590S with 20" barrel. I guess I got a good one?

  23. WizardofAhhhs 75 on January 25, 2023 at 2:04 am

Most people also don’t know that the Remington Mod.31 is the father of the Mossberg 500. That’s right, your Mossberg 500 is really a Remington, that’s why it’s so reliable.

  24. Paul Freed on January 25, 2023 at 2:05 am

20 rounds of 12 gauge. HeHeHeHeHeH

  25. D SunSparky on January 25, 2023 at 2:05 am

i still find it funny that despite the increase in mossberg popularity, that every manufacturer of accessories still makes a Rem 870 variant first, and then months or years later finally gets around to making the mossberg version, or doesn’t ever do it.

  26. Kaleb Cook on January 25, 2023 at 2:05 am

3:30 did he just tell him to make sure he has the safety off on a glock?

  27. iamcondescending on January 25, 2023 at 2:06 am

  30. George Lukach on January 25, 2023 at 2:09 am

What would you say were the best tactical mounts for slings , and slings, for 500s and 590ms?

  31. Jc Gg on January 25, 2023 at 2:10 am

I didnt know if buy a 590 mag fed or a 940 jm pro but now for sure am going with the 590 for sure

  32. Monsieur Dubois on January 25, 2023 at 2:12 am

Love me some Mossberg!!! I’ve got the maverick 88 and a 590a1 retrograde ❤❤❤

  33. TheDude on January 25, 2023 at 2:14 am

The Shockwave is not a "shotgun". It’s listed as a "Firearm" to comply with OAL requirements…

  34. Enzo’s Woodshop on January 25, 2023 at 2:16 am

I’ve got a Mossberg 590 Shockwave and a Model 88 Maverick. Love both of them. I doubt I’ll ever get rid of either.

  35. kevin moore. on January 25, 2023 at 2:16 am

  38. Bill Clinton on January 25, 2023 at 2:18 am

Ah yes, the famous Walking dead scene where Shane doesn’t cock his mossberg and it racks itself

  39. Hello Goodbye on January 25, 2023 at 2:18 am

Love my mossberg 395 ka. Bolt action, poly choke, 20 inch barrel. Goes for about 200 bucks, and cleans house at Turkey shoot competitions. Love watching the 2k$ gun owners watch me walk up an collect my prizes. And the preferred lubrication is the tears of liberal snowflakes.

  40. Randall Byrd on January 25, 2023 at 2:20 am

    Awesome shotgun TY for sharing

  41. Ltaldoraine8089 on January 25, 2023 at 2:20 am

Just picked up a used 500 for $250. Grew up on the 870 but after a bunch of research it seems like the 500 is a lot more reliable. Looking forward to busting some clays with it!

  42. Robert Rishel on January 25, 2023 at 2:20 am

I bought a used, outwardly very used, 500 at a gun show back in the early 90’s for around $75. I still own it and love it. Never a failure or problem of any kind this entire time. I have upgraded it with a fiber optic front sight and synthetic stock (the original is wood). My gun has the vented metal barrel shroud which makes it really look like a military fire arm. Love it. Best value ever.

  43. patriotpaul on January 25, 2023 at 2:21 am

A great American Gun Maker! Everybody should own a Mossberg

  44. Nash Brooklyn on January 25, 2023 at 2:25 am

0.1% out of 3000 rounds is 3 rounds = WOW! – also as analogy only, AK47 did pass that as well in order to meet all the military specs – a fun fact during 90s perestroika, any mossberg shotgun had a special name among russian gangs, either ‘moscow arm’ or ‘armed moscow’ since the short name for mossberg was just ‘moss’ –

  45. Uncle Tom on January 25, 2023 at 2:26 am

What about there bent barrels coming out of the factory and when I asked a moss eeg representative he said it was part of the manufacturing process I just laughed and said no it’s not

  46. KC on January 25, 2023 at 2:27 am

    Love my 590 A1

  47. Robert Salyers on January 25, 2023 at 2:28 am
