  2. Jason Starr on November 24, 2022 at 9:55 pm

new sub. fabulous shooting. figure $6-7 per shot, cheaper than a date at the movies! And, as Will Smith said while driving a flying saucer in Independence Day, "I have GOT to get me one of these!!!" I love Savage Arms, and would love to have one of these 338’s.

Your biood is set up wrong. You can’t get any pre-load on it with it set that way. Plus it looks dumb

  22. Rodney Dockter on November 24, 2022 at 10:26 pm

Is that the savage elite precision? how is the recoil on that thing? I have a shoulder replacement and wondering about the recoil!!

  23. Chris Hoesel on November 24, 2022 at 10:26 pm

Outstanding shooting, regardless of group size. That first round hit though, that was stellar. I love 338LM, I have shot over 2700 rounds through my MRAD, and it still prints 0.143 inch groups at 100. The Savage you got there is sweet. Love that chassis. Thanks for the video.

  24. Harjeet Singh on November 24, 2022 at 10:26 pm

nice shooting. You mind sharing the dope?

  26. John Bockkom on November 24, 2022 at 10:32 pm

    What a nice rifle.

  27. James M. on November 24, 2022 at 10:33 pm

I know this is old but instead of reaching in a box and "rattling around" for your next round, just line them up outside the box. Let them get warm in the sun, otherwise, awesome rifle and good shooting…looks like you were having a great time…👍👍

Lol, a few years later and the algorithm gods have brought me back around to you in this video. I remember you winked some thousands of comments ago, I said you’ve done some shooting before, I might’ve seen you on a battlefield in the sandbox, but you look a lil different nowadays, kinda grew up. Great to see you again soldier!

  30. Al Quinn on November 24, 2022 at 10:39 pm

That rifle didn’t shoot that group without a lot of help. Nice work and appreciate the video

  31. The Prodigal Prophet on November 24, 2022 at 10:40 pm

This whole turning of the earth turning +/- 6" of elevation east or west is a bunch of bologna. The earth’s rotation doesn’t change a thing about how you acquire your target. There are so many mathematical problems with this myth that I don’t know where to start. People who accept this myth don’t understand the calculus. In 99.99% of cases they’ve never even done the calculus . . . or, used common sense.

The rotation of the Earth is a constant. Being that it’s a constant, you don’t have to make "special" allowances in your ballistics. YOU – the shooter- are rotating on the earth at the same rate as your target. Therefore, your angular relationship to one another remains CONSTANT. It isn’t like YOUR TARGET is moving while YOU are not. Target and shooter are rotating on the earth AT THE SAME RATE.

But (for the sake of argument), let’s impossibly imagine that your target is rotating on the earth while you are not. Now, theoretically, you have a "moving elevation on angular rotation" target. Even then, the math doesn’t coincide to +/- 6" of elevation change. A .338 Lapua leaves the barrel at about 2870 ft/sec and slows to about 1750 ft/sec at 1000 yards. To keep the math simple, that equates to +/- 1.5 seconds of flight time to impact. During that time the earth will have rotated about 20" LATERALLY. The curvature of the earth doesn’t allow for 6" of drop (east) or rise (west) in 1.5 seconds of angular rotation (20"). If it did, the earth would be the size of a very large beachball.

So, for anyone who’s read this far: take what this guy says about allowing 6" of elevation for the rotation of the earth and just pretend he didn’t say it. It doesn’t change a thing about how you acquire your target. It’s not a factor in your ballistics. It only becomes a factor in trans-continental or moon mission distances.

Does anyone just start to laugh in the middle of the video because they cant believe how good this guy is?

  33. DLN1234 on November 24, 2022 at 10:42 pm

    good grouping

  34. Frank Merkl on November 24, 2022 at 10:42 pm

do u reload for your lapua and can you show us

  37. coyote 243 on November 24, 2022 at 10:45 pm

NextZipcode, I’ve been a fan of your videos for awhile. One reason is you do such a great job videoing. Most shooting videos don’t have a second camera or the second camera is from the firing line and you can’t see the hits. You do a great job with the videos. Another reason I like your videos is because you are down to earth and not trying to brag yourself up. You should have been bragging about that group. Last reason I enjoy your videos is because you can really shoot.
I think I have the best long range shooting range I’ve ever seen. I have gongs every 100 yards out to 1200 and could go 3000 yards. The best part of it is I have a dry clay hill behind each gong. If you are ever out to WY bring your gun and stop to shoot.

  38. Valkyr_RL on November 24, 2022 at 10:45 pm

This is making me want to sell half my arsenal to get one of these!

Thought it was Sunday. All I heard was church bells.

  40. Dylan Laughlin on November 24, 2022 at 10:46 pm

I’m jealous of your shooting weather. I live in Wyoming so I can only dream of days like this.

  41. Rob Hamilton on November 24, 2022 at 10:47 pm

This is bullshit. For starters I know the video of the target hits are a lie because from the moment of fire to the impact is barely 2 seconds and at that distance the hit should happen closer to 3 to 3.5 seconds.

  42. Playn Hardball on November 24, 2022 at 10:47 pm

Great set up… I just ordered one and may go the same route with the MDT HS3 chassis

Nice shooting! Nice gun(which model?)! Good video!

  45. Sanwizard on November 24, 2022 at 10:50 pm

What ammo? If reload? Which bullet and grain? I have the Savage Stealth 338LM using Federal 250gr, and although OK, my groups look like yours at 100 yards. Its probably the shooter, and not the equipment.

  46. Scott Farkus on November 24, 2022 at 10:50 pm
