Get something no one wants
You can be winning an auction for days and lose it in the last hour easily. Some people are willing to pay outrageous amounts for some guns. I just saw a $900 AK go for $1750.
People selling reloading supplies on gun broker are scum bags. one pound cans of smokeless powder that normally goes for $40 are selling for $100. Supply and demand is one thing but that is price gouging in its worst form. I hope reloaders remember this when supplies are back in stock locally and gun broker goes out of business
Good advice, but I am seeing alot of sellers selling some hard to get items using stock photos from vendor catalogs. Many negative reviews on GB. because seller doesn’t have item that buyer PAID for. Very Poor Practice!
I’ve gotten in bidding wars on HK pistols. I’ll set a personal limit – let’s say 700 shipped. I’ll end up bidding over budget to 730+shipping and still got out bid. I checked other listings and saw there were literally buy now options on other new pistols for less money so I let the other dude have it and he had to pay too much for it lol. Sometimes I’m also a jerk and will wait until the last couple minutes, bid, let the time reset, repeat. Eventually the other bidder will get sick and tired of sitting there for hours of the evening watching the auction as time resets and give up. If I got nothing better to do, I’ll play that game.
Are you allowed to buy ammo through gun broker if you live in cali?
Been boned by GB, no recourse for scam sellers.
I just subscribed to your channel. Great video and great information. Is there are video on how to set up a Gun Broker a account to be able to sell in the Gun Broker website?
THE BEST WAY TO GET Z DEAL IS TO GO BACK 8 YEARS AND BUY THEN…
How do you unbid
I wanted to purchase an item and couldn’t do full payment asked if I could do 2 payments week apart and he said if I won he would take it so never hurts to ask I usually do money orders the van only say no
when searching for something and the seller has a chinese type 53 (not specific to this, happens alot). "THAT NAZI RIFLE" "MAUSER ENFIELD GARAND MOSIN WINCHESTER" all in the sentence, "BLOOD OF THE FALLEN SOLDIER"
I wish gun broke would do low to high including shipping on buy it now stuff. I go in and check the shipping cost on stuff because sometimes it’s higher then the same item next to it for a few pennies more but the shipping cost is dollars more.
What if they sell you something that’s fake???
Very informative and gives good common sense suggestions. Quite helpful for people new to GB.
Watch for shill biding, when you see an item with like 70 bids on it and often still a lot of time to go don’t bid on it unless you really check out its value. You might think its early and everyone’s bidding but if you bid you may find any bid will put you in the winners circle and nobody will outbid you, I’ve watched some of these and I believe that’s whats going on.
Call the seller and start crying until they sell you what you want for what you wanna pay
I’m a new gun buyer so my only real question is gunbroker a good reliable website where I wont get charged
So I’m new been wanting to get a firearm and came across the website is it basically like a eBay?
Anyone have experience buying from ST Auctions on Gun Broker? They sell store surplus firearms but do not list the specific brand in the posting.
stop using it until all the scalpers have effectively walked off of cliffs
Nice video. People should learn about how to spot SCAMMERS on Gunbroker…sometimes it is pretty easy. Believe it or not- you can actually get GB staff to HELP you ( I know.. mostly you NEVER EVER hear from them when you try and contact them) BUT usually scammers try and circumvent the GB pay system- which means GB is NOT GETTING IT’S MONEY. If you state THAT in your message- GB takes notice and often WILL take the seller off their site. (They have done it 2x for me). TIP 1: an NR seller. That alone isn’t a hint, but it should make you look hard at the item- but please remember that new and very very legitimate sellers come on every day (when you see they are NR- even though they have no feed back ,CLICK ON THE NR. That will show you when they became a GB member.) TIP 2: Look for an NR seller that has a price that is below market value, not hugely under-priced… but enough to make you want to hit that Buy -Now button, as you think your getting a great deal. TIP 3: Look out for a professional gun picture ( copied off the internet), as most real 1st time sellers usually really take the picture in their living room with poor lighting etc.. if you’re buying a used $3,000 used SCAR, you should see a real picture. TIP 4: Payment method. Beware when they only take electronic payment via V__o or Z__le. Real sellers take USPO money orders, or Bank Checks. (notice I didn’t say Credit Cards as most regular people don’t have a credit card system. I’m not a business, and I’ve done 500+ deals on GB, and I don’t have a user account with a major CC company) Scammers know USPO Money orders can be traced, and only cashed with real ID, and it takes time to mail them- and scammers want QUICK money. OFTEN they will text you to beg you to change the payment method. TIP 5: ( a BIGGIE) when they ask you to send the money to a different address or to a different name with an excuse "oh, I’m living with my brother in law right now, and I’m selling his gun.." RUN from that deal, and run Fast! SO, what to do as a buyer when you’re not sure it’s a scam? Google the address on Maps. Often in a scam it’s a vacant field,. Google the listed seller phone number. Sometimes you see that number is already complained about as a scam. ASK for 1 additional picture from a certain angle.Hey- your buying a $3,000 dollar gun!- thats the least a serious seller can do. Scammers won’t do that, as often they never had the gun to begin with. Often their username is something like "ROBS PRECISION GUNS" of Milwaukee. and yes- there is a store like that… but the e-mail address is just slightly different . Sorry I rambled- but there are a lot of great people out there who just joined Gun Broker, and they get burned. Their buyer Protection Program can be hard to use, and has a huge deductible, I hoped this helped. – Jon
I check the seller’s rating. If the seller hasn’t made over 1000 A+ rated transactions, I don’t bid. I feel this reduces the possibility of the transaction being a bad one for whatever reason. If I gun I’m interested in, but for some reason I don’t bid, and the auction ends and the gun has been relisted a few times I wait a day to see if it gets relisted. If not, I contact the seller to inquire if they still have the gun for sale. If they do, I make a bid (usually $35.00 to $50.00 below the starting bid (or a reasonable offer if it started low). I’ve picked up several guns this way. I’ve missed some, but the seller usually asks if I would be interested in something else. If I am, I ask them to send at least 10 pictures. I’ve bought a few this way also. I’ve also put in bids at 16 to 17 minutes before the auction ends. I usually hunt for the best guns with no bids with a price I’m willing to pay.
Just did a Buy it now option for a Ruger 556 from an NR seller I thought I would pay through the website but it says contact seller to pay. He accepts CC but I’m uncomfortable giving my CC information to a stranger. Any advice?
Best advice I can give everyone is do not buy from a seller that wont give you an inspection period on your purchase. There are less then honest sellers on there that do at times hide flaws on guns by neglecting to take pics of areas of concern or intentionally blur the affected area so you really cant tell if something is wrong.
Its YOUR money. Dont be afraid to ask questions. I have walked away more then once from an item because seller was vague on description or wouldnt answer questions. Go back on seller feedback as far as you can and sometimes you can see a common thread that you may want to avoid.
I think its a good forum to buy what you want if you know exactly what you are looking for.
My motto is BUYER BEWARE, LOL
Question I won a raffle but the seller doesn’t allow to pay off gunbroker and that I had to contact the seller to finish payment. The seller emails saying they’ll call me tomorrow to get my CC info over the phone…. is that normal ?
Do I have to contact my ffl before i bid or buy now?
How do you answer questions on gunbroker? I listed a gun and couldn’t figure out how to and messaged support several times for help but no one contacted me.
If a bid is live, can someone still instantly buy that gun?
FOR SELLERS ITS GETTING REAL BAD BECAUSE OF THE LARGE AMOUNT OF NON PAYING BIDDERS AND GETTING CREDIT BACK FOR G/B FEE’S IS EXTREAMLY TOUGH
I have actually stopped my bidding on a firearm because my interactions with the seller being negative.
People are paying crazy prices for milsurps.
Got me a New Glock 19 gen 5 for $600 at gunbroker
Best tip? Have unlimited amounts of money 😂
Anyone else addicted to buying guns here? Lookin for a uzi🤤
***** Tip: Don’t bid when you see an FFL bidding. Check the bid history. They are helping each other out by jacking up the prices. ******
FFL is in the mail! Absolutely love your videos they’re very helpful. Hope you make more!
How to get a deal on gunbroker: you cant.
When checking gunbroker "completed listings" ,I always tack on shipping and ffl fees when pricing a sold firearm . That is what the buyer actually paid..I’ve seen Gun dealers who do the same and conveniently leave out that extra $50-$85 when offering money for YOUR firearm .
If going late to a gun show, stay positive , you don’t know what you missed plus not as many people . and dealers usually give better deals . I miss going!!
6:53 yeah don’t put the maximum bid on it. Sellers rig it constantly with alt account, I’ve witnessed this several times where some bs account with a couple of reviews from non gun sellers bids on some rare ww2 pistol. The strategy that worked for me, is to wait until the bid war settles at the end and then bid, that way the other guys may suspect you’re the seller on an alt account and just get pissed and not bid anymore. If you do suspect you’re bidding against an alt though, wait til the last 3 minutes or so, as if you’re contemplating, place just an incremental bid, incase the alt comes back. What this does is tells the seller that you changed your mind last second for a final bid. I just picked up a hell of a deal this way.
I’ve found great deals on gunbroker and some that make me scratch my head. Just shows that some sellers are the main issue with ammo prices going up.
Good review!
How does this work ? do they ask for your permit and etc ?
Is that a Hakim behind your head?
I’ve found that if I miss out on a good deal, there will always be another, always.
Don’t look at selling prices on gunbroker , you’ll just get they’re bloated sale prices …go to gunwatcher.com they will give new value and used value along with resale trends.
Thanks for the video man! These tips saved me a few hundred bucks for my first online firearm purchase.
Lol Not searching misspellings. If they can’t spell the name of the gun they’re selling,I’m not buying from them, but good tips otherwise
@Milsurp World can I sell on gunbroker.com from Pakistan. I am the maker of hunting knives.
Everytime I place a bid, it automatically says someone bid higher. Even if the price hasnt changed for half an hour. Can anyone explain?
