I have a Ruger American chambered in 6.5 Creedmoor with a 308 cheap eBay muzzle brake on it and I can hit consistently a group the size of my fist to put that into perspective I wear size small gloves at 300 yards with Hornady Whitetail 129 grain and Winchester white box 125 grain hollow points

    No hornady eld-x?

  8. Rudolph Ferdinand on May 7, 2023 at 4:10 am

Well, I do have a 6.5 Creedmoor that likes the 129 trailers by Hornady; it’s an AR308 in 6.5 CM.

  9. Chance R on May 7, 2023 at 4:10 am

My kids beat me up so bad I had to try a 6.5 Creedmoor. A friend was getting rid of a Savage 12FV in 6.5Cm with a 26" heavy barrel so I picked it up for $300. I mounted a Vortex Tactical 6x24x50 on it and headed to the loading bench. I had been loading for my kids so I picked up some cheap 120gr PPU OTM bullets form Graf’s to try out, cheapest bullets out there. Long story short the first range session netted a best 5 round group of .470" @ 100 yards, one ragged hole using a mid charge of some old Win 748 powder I had. Also one of the beast groups I’d ever shot. I picked up some Hornady 123gr OTM Match bullets and loaded them with some Win 760 & StaBall 6.5, same result just the StaBall loads went into a 5 shot group fired by that Savage measuring .370" Tupperware stock and all. I picked up a box of Federal Premium loaded with 140gr Berger bullets and those flew into a .420" hole. That rifle loves almost anything I put through it except anything using Superformance powder. I’m a convert especially after seeing the hunting performance in the field on deer my kids shot. Did I mention with only using 40gr of powder for most loads it’s very economical to shoot ? Currently I’m loading my 6.5 Cm rounds for $.65 each, call it $14/20 and the performance is fantastic, it shoots way better than I can. It’s a ton of fun.

Hornady American 140gr runs the best in my 6.5
Looks like I should see what that Fusion does.

  13. Lucas Isaacs on May 7, 2023 at 4:12 am

Do the hornady outfitter 120gr cx!

  14. george rucker on May 7, 2023 at 4:12 am

I built 2 AR10S in 6.5 Creedmoor. The hornady eldx shot the best groups for me. Best group was under a half inch at 100. Stayed under a half inch at 200 and 300. The Winchester silver tip stayed under 1 inch also.

  15. H43 on May 7, 2023 at 4:12 am

You should try Berger Ammo, works great in my gun.

  16. longshooter on May 7, 2023 at 4:14 am

    Shoot them without the sled.

  17. Trail Cam Feeding RSA on May 7, 2023 at 4:14 am

My rifle, rem 783 also chambered in 6.5CM loves the 140gr, federal fusions are fantastic. But now that I am reloading, it really likes the small rifle primers over the large rifle primers, brand not so important. Have tried multiple brand 140gr boolots and all group about the same under 1/2moa. Factory rifle, no mods besides a silencer. Staball 6.5 H4350 both great hardly difference between the powders accuracy and speed apart from the charge. Great stuff WTW my brother and I watch your videos religiously

  18. Shasta Bean on May 7, 2023 at 4:17 am

Too funny…just watched Erik Cortina video (re-do) where him & his side-kick totally bash Federal.

    And then this. haha!

They shot a couple of match loads from other brands & a few hunting loads from others, & two plinker/target loads (Federal American Eagle TMJ 120 gr & Aguila) vs 130gr Berger OTM & ELD-M & X 140 & 143 gr. Surprise! Surprise! The cheapest ammo did the worst. LOL.

I am a bit surprised to see Fusion do so well, I have to confess. It’s not exactly their Gold-Medal. It just goes to show…you never know until you test it. ELD-M is typically pretty consistent. Thanks for the vid!

  19. jel3318 w on May 7, 2023 at 4:17 am

Have a howa model 1500, bought every kind of ammo I could get in all different grains of bullets. Found that the 147gr EDL-X works best out of this gun..started reloading with 34.6 grains of varget…thing cuts holes out to 300yrds

  20. Jason P Verhine on May 7, 2023 at 4:21 am

Federal Fusion ammo has been the most consistant and effective I have ever used…

Man. I would have gone yup that’s it after the first group and skipped back to my truck whistling.

  23. Mark Kimball on May 7, 2023 at 4:23 am

Amazing federal fusion. Nice shooting too. Wonder how it might work in my weatherby s A friend uses it in a 300 mag browning.

  24. Jase on May 7, 2023 at 4:24 am

My Ruger American Predator likes Hornady 147 gr ELD Match I’m running a Athlon Midas scope on it really like this set up

  25. MD Otto on May 7, 2023 at 4:24 am

Great shooting and great video! Were the Federal Fusion rounds a soft point bullet?
My Daniel Defense Delta 5 loves the Hornady Match 140 grain ELD round. Just like your XPR it seems to favor 140 grain bullets in general.
Keep the great content coming, Love the channel!

  30. Brian Williams on May 7, 2023 at 4:29 am

    What are scope spec’s

  31. B. Bakker on May 7, 2023 at 4:32 am

Write down the lot number and get a shitload of federal fusions and stick with it. 😂😂 That is what I would do.

  32. Steve on May 7, 2023 at 4:34 am

My best 3 shot group was 1.5" @ 500 meters. Savage Stealth 6.5CM 24" barrel. 140 gr. Hornady ELD Match HPBT

  33. Flip Everything on May 7, 2023 at 4:35 am

I’m really enjoying this channel lately… and the vocabulary… zoomies and bing bangs!🤣

  34. James Cocking on May 7, 2023 at 4:37 am

Dam really? The Hornady Match was what I wanted to compare everything else to.

  35. bokchow on May 7, 2023 at 4:37 am

    Good Video…Thanks

  36. Dave Madsen on May 7, 2023 at 4:44 am

I would like to see you do this again. But this time allow the barrel to cool down between groups. The reason is for instance there Bergara barrels are known to get a little noodley when they get warm. Not sure about your Barrel but it is possibly the reason the other rounds were so "haphazard for a Creed more"

  37. Nightowl on May 7, 2023 at 4:45 am

Used your video for the 350 legend now I’m here for my next purchase 😅

  38. Adam lohman on May 7, 2023 at 4:46 am

Precision hunter 143gr is the best factory ammo I’ve ever seen. 11fps difference between fastest and slowest over 20 rounds. OAL .002” deviation. 2 randoms pulled and weighed 2 charges. Same exact weight. Weird powder though seems like a combination of multiple powders.

  39. David mackee on May 7, 2023 at 4:46 am

Nice shooting real nice grouping great video ..

  40. Jeffrey Nye on May 7, 2023 at 4:47 am

Accurate gun, but I gotta tell ya. You definitely know how to shoot Sir!

  41. Kenneth Hlavik on May 7, 2023 at 4:50 am

Your rifle definitely loves that first Ammo. Great shooting!

  42. Chuçky Dubree on May 7, 2023 at 4:50 am

I usually am not a federal fusion fan but I have a savage axis in 350 legend that loves it and my 450 isn’t much of a fan odd how all guns are different

  43. Nebraska Man on May 7, 2023 at 4:50 am

Too bad there’s practically no factory ammo with hammer bullets. They are super forgiving for how their loaded, and shoot excellently.

  44. Nebraska Man on May 7, 2023 at 4:53 am

I’ve heard the scirocco bullets are excellent, although generally require handloading with some tuning for them to shoot.

  45. Fishnatics C on May 7, 2023 at 4:54 am

Hornady match and federal fusion is the best in my tikka 6.5cm

  46. Adam Elam on May 7, 2023 at 4:54 am

If the ELDx ammo for the 6.5 killed as well as it grouped I’d probably trade my 7mm-08 but the terminal performance I got out of it was awful.

  47. Timoteo Koyout on May 7, 2023 at 4:56 am

Should have doubled back after your whole course of fire and shot the fusions with a really warm Barrel to be sure.

  48. Dale Rash on May 7, 2023 at 5:01 am

My savage likes Sellier & Bellot 140 gr. Soft points, my deer load.

  49. James Bond on May 7, 2023 at 5:02 am

Horndy super performance 129 6.5 is the bomb.

  50. dark matter on May 7, 2023 at 5:03 am

The best reviews, I got some Federal Fusion 140 gr, I hope my Xbolt likes them. 6.5 ammo is hard to find here.
