    That was really weird…

    …. Watching a commercial… During a commercial.

  2. CaptnHampton22 on July 23, 2022 at 7:28 pm

Obviously ESEE 6 still the king. But I just got a QSP Bison and even though it’s D2 it’s really great and super affordable.

  3. Glades Hunter on July 23, 2022 at 7:29 pm

You gotta check out the Lion Steel M7 in my mind it’s the perfect survival knife . A close second would be the Hogue Ex-F01 7” it’s a beast as well .

  4. abdurrahman nashit on July 23, 2022 at 7:30 pm

Disclaimer: you have absolutely zero chance with any knife against a grizzly. You have even less chance with a knife than without a knife, because with a knife you may be tempted to anger the bear more.

  5. barking.dog.productions1776 on July 23, 2022 at 7:30 pm

Steel will bend instead of shattering…. Shards of stainless flying everywhere not good!

  6. Luciano Gomes on July 23, 2022 at 7:32 pm

does a knife cost more than 200$? It is quite purposeless. I think this values are constructed over consume desire, not by the work or material costs.

  7. Adolfo Solano on July 23, 2022 at 7:33 pm

    Excellent review!

  8. Greg Blake on July 23, 2022 at 7:33 pm

Nice wrap up. Thought it was great that you decided to take your family on the road while you guys are young enough to do it and enjoy your family. When you get in your senior years I think you’ll look back and be really glad you did it inspite of the extra challenges it brought. Thanks for continuing to bring us well thought out knife reviews.

  9. Combin Combin on July 23, 2022 at 7:35 pm

    NOMAD FAN! The perfect one!

  10. Just Coolin on July 23, 2022 at 7:36 pm

    Any experience with Winkler??

  11. MrWatson2001 on July 23, 2022 at 7:36 pm

Oh you had me with the tops till I saw it was 1095 not a huge fan of 1095 in extra large blades.

  12. Rick Thompson on July 23, 2022 at 7:36 pm

Great video as always. You should do a segment on best EDC fixed blades. I recently picked up the WTG Nomad EDC and it is fantastic. That should be on your eval list along with other classics like the ESEE Izula.

  13. dan dan da treeman on July 23, 2022 at 7:37 pm

I hope you all are having a beautiful time. Do you have plans to share your experience on the road?

  14. David Leikam on July 23, 2022 at 7:37 pm

Yep, I’m seeing supply fluctuations in various items this season too. Order today, and support the GT Family this year! 👍

  15. Paul Katerges on July 23, 2022 at 7:37 pm

The Joker Nomad seems very similar to the Victorinox Outdoor Master Mic. What do you think?

  16. Brandon Norris on July 23, 2022 at 7:38 pm

Hello again, just would like to recommend trying some Bark River Fixed blades next year. I don’t know if there is a better fixed blade maker out there. So many flavors of blade and fantastic warranty on a product that really performs.

  17. Morgan Clairday II on July 23, 2022 at 7:38 pm

My dad gave me the 119 in 97…I was 13 at the time…still one of favorite knives…love that knife

  18. Starling Black on July 23, 2022 at 7:39 pm

Fun video; looking forward to the best of 2022!

  19. Larry Fath on July 23, 2022 at 7:39 pm

I would like to see what you would consider to be the top 5 for a 3-4” daily belt carry. I like my mora’s but recently picked up a CRKT Hunt n Fish knife. I particularly liked the scout carry sheath.

  20. Francois C on July 23, 2022 at 7:41 pm

Make a review of the DBK knife (Dutch Bushcraft Knives) !

  21. 0351 breacher boys on July 23, 2022 at 7:44 pm

I ground then filed my bucks guard down and I love it.

  22. Guy Ardizoni on July 23, 2022 at 7:47 pm

To date, what are your top 10 blades of all time?

  23. RedBear on July 23, 2022 at 7:47 pm

Tops knives are a joke and their customer service is even worse. Pretty bad when you have to precut a watermelon for a test. 9:58 you can see where it’s cut already. Sad

  24. 808 on July 23, 2022 at 7:48 pm

LionSteel T5 discontinued. Which would be comparable or better? Thank you

  25. johnny eas on July 23, 2022 at 7:51 pm

A bear would use that as a tooth pick after it ate you

  26. Craig Houdeshell on July 23, 2022 at 7:54 pm

You know what would be cool? First let me say I like your knife reviews a ton because you are a user and talk about the knives after you have had them to the field for a while. Now to my point. I think it would be great if you would do a fixed blade: trout and bird knife review. I know you are not primarily a hunter/fisherman but I believe you have told us you do both. The trout/bird knife style of knife is tough to find in this day and age but there are some out there. It would be great if you would do a review of a couple of fists full of this style of knife.

  27. GlockNinja on July 23, 2022 at 7:54 pm

thank you for the education. My brother is looking for a military knife he was issued when he was in the army early 80s. He said it was super sharp and it sharpened every time you pulled it from the sheath. Do you know what knife he might be talking about?

  28. David Dunning on July 23, 2022 at 7:56 pm

    Get an axe,lol

  29. AR9fy on July 23, 2022 at 8:00 pm

In video ad is an automatic thumbs down 👎 People have YouTube premium subscription to avoid ads, and then get greeted with in video ads by the creator, you. That is a really bad desperate and greedy practice. Lots of YouTubers are today’s beggars (like, subscribe, click my links, give me money on my Patron, donate etc.)

  30. Guy Ardizoni on July 23, 2022 at 8:01 pm

To date, what are your top 10 blades of all time?

  31. 6.5grendelupper on July 23, 2022 at 8:01 pm

I kinda went old school recently with a tops firestrike 45!!! Also picked up a ontario sword of black wind jager!!! Got it for only 60 bucks and they haven’t been made in 20 years, and it was brand new in box!!!

  32. Martin Miller on July 23, 2022 at 8:01 pm

I am really tempted to pull the trigger on the LionSteel T5 but I am not sold on Niolox steel. I really wish they had it in M390 like the M4.

  33. Ithappened onenite on July 23, 2022 at 8:02 pm

Great knives and I will always choose the kydex.

  34. john smith on July 23, 2022 at 8:03 pm

The Lionsteel T5 is a stunning looking and performing knife …..I’ve also got the big brother a T7 … These two knives are premium quality. Never used or held any of the other knives in this video so I am only commenting on the Lionsteel. Also the leather sheath looks stylish but very practical. The leather smells like leather did when I was a kid … Quality.

  35. globyois on July 23, 2022 at 8:04 pm

Love how your reviews are so succinct and to the point, without being verbose. Excellent work, thanks.
As for me, being financially limited, I carry as a survival tool the first gen SCHF9. Big hands so I had to wrap it in paracord, but with the 550 it fills my hand well and I’m happy with it (need that 1/4” thickness for peace of mind).
    Great video, keep’em coming.

  36. pete detraglia on July 23, 2022 at 8:05 pm

Cold Steel Master Tanto in San Mai VG10 (6 inch) blade. Master of all trades and sharp as a razor.

  37. Ray Diaz on July 23, 2022 at 8:08 pm

So they can cut and feather and chop. Can you do some videos with these knives skinning, caping and gutting?

  38. DOC 777 on July 23, 2022 at 8:08 pm

Grip 6 garbage belts & trash customer service……

  39. Willie Nelson Gonzalez on July 23, 2022 at 8:10 pm

Would love to see the Lion Steel T5 knife do the rounds between various YouTube outdoor enthusiasts and hear the feedback. Lion Steel T5 gauntlet maybe?

  40. Mr Darren on July 23, 2022 at 8:12 pm

Lionsteel are a fantastic brand. They use great steels they have great designs and the fit and finish is always top class. It took me the longest time to get into lionsteel but so glad i did.

  41. HeavyChevy on July 23, 2022 at 8:15 pm

god bless & thank u sir

  42. Abby Normal on July 23, 2022 at 8:17 pm

MBK Fieldtrekker and the Hinderer Emmett are my top fixed blades of 2021.

  43. Stump on July 23, 2022 at 8:17 pm

My favorite fixed blade right now is the hinderer ranch hand with a harpoon spanto blade and 3V

  44. NOBO Frog on July 23, 2022 at 8:18 pm

  46. Fabiano on July 23, 2022 at 8:20 pm

Happy to see a ‘made in Spain" knife like Joker🤩

I get the Aitor Ferfal for 159€ ( discounted)
    Length: 295mm
    .Thigness: 5,3mm

  48. Kirbyclone on July 23, 2022 at 8:22 pm

I can’t find the Lionsteel T5 in stock anywhere. Is anybody finding it in the USA?

  49. Adolfo Solano on July 23, 2022 at 8:22 pm

Joker and LionSteel are two high quality European brands!
