   The moment you picked the cabin to be your living quarters I instantly knew you fucked up. I remember when GN&S went into that POI he got *WRECKED* if I’m not mistaken he died. And he had a max lvl M60 and a bunch of other end game weapons with points out into machine gunner and other necessity perks and he still struggled hard.

    late to party but you can use paint (yeah) to make all map as wasteland (and no sand/oil) – after map is generated in it you will have png with biomes, change it to biome you like, save file and start new game from that map.
    This is what i did in past but with winter biome (and something like small section of desert one, that was ‘walled off’ by rad zone)
