(92) Picking Smith & Wesson standard handcuffs

First of all, I want to reiterate how bad an idea it is to try to use these techniques to escape from the police when they have arrested you. Don’t do it.

The models demonstrated here are the M100-1, M300-1, M100-1 M&P, and the model M1-1. All use identical internal mechanisms and so the exact same style of tool can be used to manipulate them.

I wonder how many people visit this video for embarrassing reasons 🙂 You always see stories about couples stuck in handcuffs because somebody lost *the* key. But you never hear stories about them buying and selling old cuffs and ending up with the wrong key lol. Like someone trying to open a pair of Hiatt with a Clejuso key or an Alcyon key lol. Wait, I think there’s a cheesy adult industry video in that story somewhere… Nope, I got nothing.

Videos are worth the wait. 🙂 Interesting to see the different double locking mechanisms.

Nice vid, this definently shows the downside of standard handcuffs tho. A neat design to see would be solid steel body, VERY tight tolerances between twin locking pawls, and a mini medeco core, even a 4 pin would probably suffice as getting to it would be a struggle and then add the difficulty associated with medeco cores, as far as double locking is concerned, id say the standard system could work and simply turning the key backward like a traditional handcuff could probably work.

Try doing that behind your back 🙂
