AK47/74 Part 1 Trunnion Jig By admin | October 27, 2021 | 15 AK47/74 Part 1 Trunnion Jig Posted in Everything AK and tagged ak 74 trunnion jig
Im starting my Romanian mod63 soon, 80% receiver is arriving tomorrow. How do you drill the safety, Semi and full auto hole?
What happened to the end video in this series?
What size of drill bit do you use, for front and rear trunnions?
The AK builder 80% lowers (according to ak builder . com) are NOT heat treated. Do the lowers need to be heat treated? Or no?
Also, can I find a milled 80% lower and use that for a polish underfolder build? Thanks for the videos +Mel64d
You’ve explained this very well, unlike some other folks.
@ ERprepper, I hate it when I can not reply to a comment by clicking the "reply" button.
The AK builder receivers need to be heat treated, and the lower rails too. You can go online and buy a milled receiver, but they are pricy. Oh and an AK does not have an "upper" or "lower"…just a receiver.
Thanks for watching.
these are great for people that cant buy them in there state.
“SEEMS KINDA STUPID”…(regarding the atf rules)..LOL, THE WHOLE BATF AGENCY IS KINDA STUPID… ALL GUN RULES, LAWS AND CODES ARE HIGHLY ILLEGAL.. NOTHING THEY SAY OR RULE ON IS LEGITIMATE ANYWAY. THEY ARE A FRAUDULENT AGENCY OF ANTI-CONSTITUTIONAL CORRUPT, MILITARILY ARMED BUREAUCRATS THAT NEED TO BE ERADICATED. … EVERY SINGLE AMERICAN WORTH HIS SALT NEEDS TO STAND UP TO THIS ORWELLIAN CRAP. GLAD A VAST AMOUNT ALREADY ARE…QUIETLY BUT SURELY.
metal taco now that’s funny, good vids, I built all of my ak’s Curtis sebring is the man when it comes to tooling , as well as toth tool, I use a mix of toth and ak-builder tools
Mel do you support the trunion when you press the ball bearing in to create the tapered hole in the trunion. Do you think a C clamp would have enough pressure. Im worried about distorting the trunion
Thank you for making these videos. I have been intimidated by an ak build but you make it look so doable. Thank you!!!!
I’m assuming this will work on an AMD 65. I’ve been putting off building that thing for years over dilling it out.
Once you have the trunnions attached to the jig and the piece of aluminum supporting the receiver what indicated where the holes should be drilled? Did I miss that part? Is it part of another video? Does a template lay on top of the partial receiver? Any guidance will be appreciated!
Anybody have a video of this in action?
I needed these videos! Too many people just kind of blow through the process without actually explaining what they’re doing, they just assume you know. Very well laid out, and crystal clear instruction. Thanks for putting these out there!
