Love these in depth videos man, keep up the good work!

Thanks for your efforts. This saved me much trial and error in settling on a trigger for my 308 build. I just ordered the Rise Armorment 535 as it fits my needs. I am looking for a slight pre-travel to match up with the 1 mm pretravel in my Franklin Armory Binary trigger in my 556. I also used your HARLEYWOOD code at MSR arms to order the trigger and few other things for my 308 build.

Great data, but the problem with this testing is that this is just paper testing. I did the same thing when I bought my first AR. I tested what FELT the best and what had the least take-up, shortest reset, etc, but hadn’t shot any of them. It was all theoretical.

BUT, when it comes to putting it in the gun and the overall reliability over thousands of rounds, Geissele is the my go-to, never fail, most reliable best trigger in the game. You don’t have to deal with set screws coming loose, anti-walk pins.

To each their own though, it depends what you want. If reliability over thousands of rounds is what you want for a self-defense type gun, Geissele is all i will use. If you want the shortest, crispiest, and something adjustable for a shooting game or match, maybe one of these drop ins is better for you.

Interesting my hyper fire doesn’t have any take up

  8. Flooid on November 13, 2021 at 9:27 pm

I think those heavier spring just hit the hammer harder

  9. Jamal69 Jackson on November 13, 2021 at 9:31 pm

I have yet to find a trigger nicer and crisper than the Trigger Tech Diamond series for accuracy rifles, but I do own quite a few triggers and some are better for self defense or combat purposes.

  10. Rich Heipp on November 13, 2021 at 9:32 pm

    Excellent, A+

  11. Ram Rigor on November 13, 2021 at 9:32 pm

That last trigger has to many springs which probably equates to 2 extra things that could decide to not cooperate.

  12. Sexy Rodriguez on November 13, 2021 at 9:34 pm

Where’s the latest trigger review 😅🤥🤨 more!!

  13. Craig Versetti on November 13, 2021 at 9:35 pm

    As ALWAYS thanks harley !!!

    Yes

  15. Blake Behrends on November 13, 2021 at 9:38 pm

You won’t have an ND if you trigger discipline is adequate.

  16. Eats, Shoots, and Leaves Tactical on November 13, 2021 at 9:39 pm

Hey, just discovered these trigger reviews, what a great resource for the AR-15-builders community! I can imagine they cost quite a bit to make, so I totally understand if not all requests are gonna be possible for you to take. I will simply submit that I would be interested in seeing a similar review of any one or all of the Wilson Combat triggers, particularly the two stage and the Paul Howe. My main interest in them stems from their half-cock notch that reportedly makes the rifle more drop safe, which might be interesting to see tested. More in the vein of these videoz through, if I’m gonna spend $150 on a drop-in trigger, I want at little boost in performance over the BCM Enhanced Mol-spec that came in my rifle, so a preview of there pull from the trigger jig would be awesome! Thanks and keep up the great content!

  17. regularJoe Tac-GearShow on November 13, 2021 at 9:39 pm

Can somebody please teach this guy how to properly use a trigger pull gauge???

  18. TruStoryBrah on November 13, 2021 at 9:40 pm

I don’t understand why you take the time to print out a piece of paper to measure the trigger pull, but then start the trigger in between two lines…

  19. Michael on November 13, 2021 at 9:42 pm

I definitely appreciate the trigger comparisons. I have bought a couple triggers based on your videos.

  20. Michael Hayes on November 13, 2021 at 9:43 pm

Great video!!! Thanks for the comparisons!

  21. tthams73 on November 13, 2021 at 9:43 pm

How in the hell could you not love the SD3G Trigger?? I have yet to find a better trigger.

  22. space__cowboah on November 13, 2021 at 9:46 pm

Should do a review on the ATC Gold Flat.

  23. Tino Rivas on November 13, 2021 at 9:47 pm

I see what you did with the 556 trigger videos.

  24. Lord Alfred Dela Cruz on November 13, 2021 at 9:47 pm

Awesome info brother. Thanks a lot

  25. Dad on November 13, 2021 at 9:47 pm

Damn. One of the best comparison videos on triggers I have ever seen. Outstanding. Thank you for that detail.

  26. Dave Myers on November 13, 2021 at 9:48 pm

You still out there? You just popped up because I’ve been looking at triggers. Great video, I just got a Rise this morning and can’t to check it out! Put it in and unbelievable difference from the mil spec!

  27. jon mckee on November 13, 2021 at 9:49 pm

    hammer performance?

  28. Nick Striker on November 13, 2021 at 9:49 pm

SSA-E AND SD-E Are the same the sd-e is just newer with a flat Bow design. Both are amazing and the SD-E I get the best of both worlds at a 3pound and under trigger pull. And as long as you keep your finger tight on the reset it’s a fast rapid fire machine. And you can blow right past that first stage if needed. But I think every rifle that is average sized should have the 2 stage incase they need that accurate shot down range.

  29. dreamkiss4u on November 13, 2021 at 9:50 pm

have you done a best of budget AR-15 triggers test like this one?

  30. Thomas Heaton on November 13, 2021 at 9:57 pm

    Do it! Where part 4!?

  31. Whirlybird on November 13, 2021 at 9:57 pm

When you change the point on the trigger that you place the gauge every time, you’re going to get a different measurement every time. It’s a lever – the closer to the tip of the tigger you out the gauge, the lighter the pull. You should have been placing that gauge at the tip every time. Fail.

  32. TheK20head on November 13, 2021 at 9:58 pm

I’m glad the ra535 is more on the heavier side.

  33. tom reid on November 13, 2021 at 9:58 pm

    Thank you for this

  34. Scott Loftin on November 13, 2021 at 10:00 pm

    Excellent video sir!

  35. Guy Actual on November 13, 2021 at 10:00 pm

Best trigger review on the social media platforms. I’m a big fan of the 434 and have installed in in all but 2 of my AR platforms. (If you want to call the PSA KS-47 an AR) I was a fan of the Elf for a while, but they stopped using a set screw on their "Non-Adjustable" triggers (Which actually made it adjustable if you flipped it around). But that 434 is difficult to beat for the price, especially if you have a BDU account.
    Thank You!

  36. Chris Bry on November 13, 2021 at 10:01 pm

    Nice job

  37. Old Goat on November 13, 2021 at 10:02 pm

I just bought a Radical RF-15 and it has to have a 6-7# trigger? As someone who shot an xp-100 built by Ralph Bond in the 90’s it had an 8 ounce trigger and 7# feels like a ton. I want to thank you for taking the time to do this. The best part is the woo- or woof when its a good one.😀

  38. Andy Johnson on November 13, 2021 at 10:06 pm

Just put a Hiperfire EDT Sharp Shooter in my Bushmaster and used the 4 1/2lb spring. To me a really good upgrade from the mil-spec, this is my first trigger upgrade. Like to see a test on those EDTs from Hiperfire to know the actual numbers. BTW, excellent informative videos 👍👍

  39. Eric Ward on November 13, 2021 at 10:06 pm

    Timney 3 lb competition

  40. Zogger568 on November 13, 2021 at 10:07 pm

Some nice unintentional asmr. Great review

  41. Jerry W Davis on November 13, 2021 at 10:09 pm

well done. I’m looking for a fighting trigger to replace the mil-spec sponge on my AR. Something with a crisp 4 lb break and very little creep. Any suggestions?

  42. Version135 on November 13, 2021 at 10:11 pm

Should be able to easily fix the take up on the triggertech by inserting a shim under the front

  43. Dragon800 on November 13, 2021 at 10:11 pm

10:50 I like that little take up then again I’m a 2 stage trigger guy all the way they are great for accuracy and if I’m gonna be shooting fast I’m not gonna notice that play anyway.

  44. shawnsent on November 13, 2021 at 10:13 pm

how do you fix the hammer follow problem?

  45. Richard Waid on November 13, 2021 at 10:14 pm

If the criteria for best AR trigger was creep ( or lack of ) clean break, quick and short reset, quality of materials and finally pull weight ( oh yeah, value) I would love to see you do and addendum to this video and add the Blackout Defense 3 lb drop in trigger. It does have the stability set screws that you weren’t fond of but I didn’t have too much trouble installing it. This trigger has zero creep, zero travel, crisp break, consistent 3lb pull and very short reset.
Blackout Defense is an Aerospace company and the materials are of the highest quality. Price around $205.

  46. Michael Tuckerman on November 13, 2021 at 10:15 pm

I’d like to see a test comparing trigger pull weight to hammer strike force. Basically I want a very light trigger with a heavy hammer strike. I have a nice light spring but I also have some light primer strikes on certain ammo

  47. Samuel Lund on November 13, 2021 at 10:15 pm

I have a Elftmann AR9 drop in trigger installed on my shorty pcc and I love it, smooth, crisp, not much travel at all. Love em.

  48. watch channel on November 13, 2021 at 10:15 pm

Doesn’t it effect how much weight it takes depending on where you are on the trigger with leverage?

  49. Tomakze on November 13, 2021 at 10:18 pm

    My TriggerTech Diamond is perfect

  50. Lost Unicorn on November 13, 2021 at 10:20 pm

My 308 has the triggertech diamond and the trigger pull is crazy light under 2 pounds.
