First off, this magazine has been 100% reliable with brass cased ammunition in both 5.56/.223 and .300 Blackout. However, with steel ammunition you are looking at about 70% reliable depending on how rough the case is due to the high pressures within the magazine. heavy lacquered steel cases should theoretically work just fine. For $50-$60 these are some of the cheapest high capacity or double capacity magazines on the market and because they have functioned perfectly with brass cased ammo I would say they are a high value item. But 40 round Pmags or standard 30 round magazines are still the way to go for 99% of people. These are mostly just fun range toys.
ATI Description:
ATI Schmeisser 5.56/.223 AR-15 60 Round Magazine
American Tactical has partnered with German arms manufacturer Schmeisser GmbH to exclusively import and distribute the Schemisser S60 60 round AR-15 magazine. Made from glass reinforced polymer, this patent pending magazine features a unique follower system that allows for double capacity from a normal AR magazine without being bulky or cumbersome. Designed to shoot both .223 REM & 5.56X45MM, the Schmeisser S60 will give you an instant capacity upgrade over the standard AR mag at an affordable price for your AR Carbine or Pistol.
Made in Germany
Disclaimer:
The Schmeisser S60 was built specifically for .223REM or 5.56X45MM ammo only. Schmeisser & American Tactical have done some testing and found that the S60 may not operate with all types of .300 Blackout ammo. Due to inconsistencies with different brands, Schmeisser does not recommend using 300 Blackout with this magazine. Failure for the magazine to operate with 300 Blackout is not covered by American Tactical’s Limited Lifetime Warranty.
Warning! – High Tension Spring
The Schmeisser S60 has a very powerful high tension spring. Please use caution if disassembling the magazine for maintenance. If not properly secured, spring may eject from magazine when floor plate is removed and can cause serious injury.

@1:35 ACR Flex. Cool.
I got mine 😊
I bought two of these magazines and it stop taking amamo after 28rds, so I sent them back.
Moral of the story…don’t use steel case ammo. Brass is better 😉
Just got mines today
I keep an S60 in my home defense rifles. It’s just to have the capacity on my farm so if I have to deal with predators and I walk out the door, I’ve got 60 ready to go without having to get kit’d up. Sling the rifle and walk out the door without having to stow more on me.
If I get into a rich situation on my property and 60 doesn’t do it, it at least got me back inside to weather the storm….
300 blk out jams
Why does he look like Troy Garity lol
The best of the best I have 3 60 round and I don’t like anymore the 30 rounds jijiji
I’m having a really hard time loading it by hand. I got about 30 rounds in it and can’t seem to feed another round in. Currently printing a AR-15 Mag loader on my 3D printer to see if that works.
I have a MSR AR 15 60 rounder and this never happens to me
Magpul d mag 60 rounds is better. Smaller footprint (prone easily) by far and no failures.
I found if you disassemble it and reassemble yourself it works better, idk maybe they rush the process besides that push the bullets down with ur finger when you start to feel binding and load the last 40-50 with mag on hard surface
We’re u in some branch of military or you just that good with it
Maybe add a little gun oil to the rounds
Where can i order?
Just stick to pmag 40s
Does anybody know if 300 blackout will work in this mag because I know some 300 black out and 556 fit same mag ?
I owned one of these and used both steel/wolf and brass/federal it would always hang up could not feed, mag would get ugly on the inside just bad experience
They are 70 bucks at my local dunams store right now….
Thanks for the share!!
Will this mag fit in a 300 blackout ??
I just ordered one for collection. $60. Used to be over $100. Redcon1 Tactical LLC
Very informative. Answers all of my questions/doubts.
He nice with that ar
Good video. Just got mine. Fits my S&W Sport 2. Can’t wait to use it but my range can be nosy when it comes to HC mags in my state. Steel Tulamo and Wolf always jams in my AR but my Mini 14 can take it. Maxx Steel feeds a little better.
It’s $80 now at Rainier Arms.
It doesnt like my anderson w rise trigger nd strike and enhanced bolt catch
Can .300 blaccout ammo feed clear in there?
So run brass case like I always do and I’ll be fine😀 I just picked up one of these mags.
that may sucks in all aspects just my experience
People who use steel ammo for an AR get what they deserve lol
Can it go in the Omni maxx hybrid p3 ati AR?
I refuse to shoot steel case ammo in a AR . Let the shitslinging begin .
Thanks!
We’re those 55 grain maybe they would appreciate a heavier grain
Good video

You look a lot like Ukraine’s President Zelenskyy, a true Hero to His Country and His People. I wish America’s President had just 1/100% of his Honor, Strength, and Determination and the will to Fight to Protect His People…Dont get me wrong Biden is probably a cool guy, but his mental ability is severely diminished, and its come down to where its just sad… Anyways you do favor Zelenskyy’s appearance
This is what I called perfect CQB mag right there. Tap it in and don’t have to worry about reloading for a while.
They are $90 now

I have a TNArms polymer lower. Check your buffer retainer pin hole to ensure that it is not out of spec. Mine was too far to the rear and was causing the buffer to impact the buffer retainer pin. I’m interested to see if you have this same issue.
I bought one of these and I must say what I think about it. I got it for $60 and brought it home and wanted to see how it did on my range. I found that it was very easy to load and even got 66 rounds in it, but took the extra 6 back out. I went to put it in my gun and found that you almost had to have a hammer to drive it in, not good. You never want to have to beat a clip in Ever. I got about 32 rounds, all brass, out of it and ran into a jam. Nothing too bad, and then went ahead and emptied it. I pulled the clip out to see that it had been damaged while firing with it in the gun. The locking point on the clip looked like I had fired 1,000 rounds through it. Not feeling good about it I did what some people told me and loaded it and let it sit for 2 weeks. After that I took it back out and hoped for the best. I got all 60 out of it but the locking point was looking even worse, like it was made out of some super cheap plastic. It was bad and still had to turn my gun upside down to jam the clip in. In the end it is Not a good buy because if you use it more than 4-5 times, it may fall out of your gun. So $60 wasted.
Wouldn’t it be fun to go back in time to 1800s with an ar15 60 rnd magazine. When everyone had 8 shot lever action rifles ?
I heard them 60 round mags be jammin, y’all might as well get two 40 round mags and get the magpul coupler for the same price but 20 rounds more.
So why is this video titled "Best Value Double Capacity Magazine For $50". Shouldn’t it say "Best Value Double Capacity Magazine For $50 If Your Using Brass Rounds" That being said I really enjoy your information not being sponser driven well done man.
will it work with 300 blk
would lubing up the spring help with feeding?
John Wick? More like Jon Thicc… Amirite?
