It seems every watch company somehow manages to mangle something somewhere along the line. Example: If you have a display caseback in order to DISPLAY THE MOVEMENT, then show the damn movement! Why then scribble over it with some meaningless design element that OBSCURES THE MOVEMENT?! Who cares if it’s "only" an ETA or Sellita. If you’re making the effort to show the movement, then show it. I have seen similar design blunders on almost every watch from every brand, so it’s not just Bell & Ross. Otherwise, not a bad watch and they executed some other design elements quite nicely (perhaps why seeing the scribbling on the display caseback is even more cringe worthy).
At 4:20 you mention the bezel can be used as an auxiliary timing unit. I don’t think it’s practical, as the bezel has 24 clicks, and not 60 clicks… thus, not being able to align the bezel triangle and the minute hand most of the time
Nice.
I do like the watch very much. But a GMT watch without an independently adjustable hour hand (not the 24h hand) just doesn’t make sense.
🤩
Love the background and lighting. Easier to see the details fo the watch. LOVE ALL the reviews.
At this price point (US$3,500) this watch can’t be beat. I purchased the watches below to compare them against each other and make a decision with the watches in hand:
1. Monta – Skyquest GMT
2. Zodiac – Aerospace GMT
3. Christopher Ward – C65 Trident GMT
4. Tudor – Black Bay GMT
5. Bell & Ross Bell – BR V2-93 GMT
I handled, tried on, analyzed, compared, thought about and enjoyed all these watches for 5 days in total, at the end I kept the Bell & Ross and returned the rest. The BR has best design (in my personal opinion), is thin, very accurate (as accurate as the Tudor in my testing), is very light and overall extremely versatile.
If you have the 3.5K for it I HIGHLY recommend it.
Note: From these watches, the only "True GMT" is the Tudor, the rest are "Office GMT".
Thanks WatchBox for the great review, it helped me in my quest to find the best GMT watch for me (outside the Rolex GMT Master II and the Rolex Explorer II).
I really enjoy this watch.
Another great review of a watch I previously haven’t considered before. Great size and features. All your reviews are to the point and informative and not too long. It would be helpful to include the weight of the watches because this is a major consideration for watch wearing comfort.
It’s just off. It has the feel of a bad concept idea come to life- “hey, let’s mash up a Rolex Explorer and the GMT and see what we get”. Then again, I’m probably a bit too biased. I think the whole Bell and Ross “let’s make our watches look like an aviation instrument cluster” motif is overly clever and gimmicky.
Why somebody would buy this rather than an Omega or Rolex beats me…
‘
the piece i saw at the AD today was SUPER high gloss … easily mirrored anything bright in the background. would be almost perfect if it weren’t for this. they offer matte dials on the 38mm pilots …
The movement look like a hublot’s movement
That is one impressive watch. I like the bracelet and the fact it as 12 3 6 and 9. Even the date wheel is the same colour as the watch dial. Take note other top brands.
I like this watch . nice design . you see everything what you need, when you look at the watch . you wanna see the date if you need it . will not fill the half of the watch. its just there if you need . great job
Awww, special feelings. All I have to do now is to make a very long list why I don’t need one…. and then ignore it completely and get this watch.
Dang, I was especially impressed when you started mentioning all the mid-century jet planes. Kudos to you man!!!!
Excellent review! I think I have found the next watch I want to buy :))
I think this piece is the best Bell & Ross yet. At least for me. Thanks for your review.
Cheers,
Fernando
This is how a 41mm should be dimensions wise especially L2L and thickness. Take notes Tudor Black Bay

I like the use of gloves in the review, looks much classier. thank you!
Narration and visuals in your reviews are great.
Compact, functional, and handsome; that’s the BR V2-93. Bell & Ross sponsored this video, and I’ve enjoyed working with the company thanks to fun folks and appealing products. Since this watch is new, not pre-owned, please give a call or text to Claudio at our Govberg Walnut Street Philadelphia location if you’re interested in learning more.
Best,
