PSA gives you a lot for your money. A value that is unprecedented in any other type of firearm, platform, or manufacturer.

It’s now late November 2020. If Biden gets into office, you will have missed your chance. If anything, things could go up, and one of his goals is to end internet gun sales. It’s now to the point of get it now before it’s too late.

    Love my diamon back

  4. Vincent Grippi on October 31, 2021 at 9:37 pm

Got the Ruger for $499 , think I’ll look into a PSA build now after seeing this

  5. Saxon on October 31, 2021 at 9:38 pm

You called it a gun …. might I remind you … "THIS is your rifle, this is your gun. THIS is for fighting, THIS is for fun."

  6. Wild Tex on October 31, 2021 at 9:39 pm

I really appreciate the all American PSA. What a cool company. Freedom and 1776 Worldwide!

  7. SosaOtto300 on October 31, 2021 at 9:40 pm

Late Boy Scout to that seems like u were late to get touch by the scout master

  8. Saucey Pants on October 31, 2021 at 9:43 pm

Odd, my MP 15 has a Forward Assist 🤷‍♂️

  9. Al Tortugas on October 31, 2021 at 9:46 pm

The Ruger it looks like you have is a 20in barrel with a rifle-length gas system. Together with longer sight radius, with irons, it should have less recoil and better accuracy. That said, the results were surprising, because I know the Ruger has a 1:8 twist compared to 1:9 for the S&W.

  10. william nicholson on October 31, 2021 at 9:47 pm

I wouldnot call them cheap inwould refer to them as budget rifles. And budget rifles have come a long way over the years.

  11. Richard Lahan on October 31, 2021 at 9:50 pm

PSA rifles are affordable, not cheap.

  12. Jimmy Cowart on October 31, 2021 at 9:50 pm

    Love my psa too

  13. Richard Tallent on October 31, 2021 at 9:52 pm

175 grain, 168 grain in .223/ 5.56?? Thats a bit preposterous! Your talking. 30 caliber bullet weights.

  14. Black tooth grin on October 31, 2021 at 9:54 pm

The only thing that matters is that it gets the job done whenever needed.

  15. Trapper Scout on October 31, 2021 at 9:55 pm

Crockett has an old school Gen 1 M&P15 Sport.

  16. jpb1231000 on October 31, 2021 at 9:55 pm

What is the Barrel length on the Ruger??
I have the AR 556 16 in Free Float version, not the MPR 18 in.

  17. Sbentsen27 on October 31, 2021 at 9:59 pm

PSA doing a great job of helping get an AR-15 in every home in America 👍🏼

  18. Jared SGT on October 31, 2021 at 10:00 pm

Why point at the dirt when doing shooting drills?

  19. Ed Bosco on October 31, 2021 at 10:01 pm

The elitist "snob" AR owners are just in denial they spent way too much on a firearm and need lash out to make themselves and their egos feel better.

  20. JoMammaSmurf on October 31, 2021 at 10:01 pm

What in the hell? They’re comparing this to a S&W M&P Sport. That gun came out in 2013!!! It’s NOT the current model which is the Sport II. The Sport II has the forward assist and dust cover amongst other improvements and has been out for like 6 years.

  21. Jim G on October 31, 2021 at 10:01 pm

    Are you guys in Montana?

  22. tommytom7777777 on October 31, 2021 at 10:02 pm

I’ve got a Palmetto and it’s great with Pmags. It will not feed with metal mags. Which is fine with me- I prefer pmags anyway.

  23. Mad Dawg on October 31, 2021 at 10:02 pm

More premium ammo than the guns ? The target market suggests those that can’t or don’t want to buy a more expensive rifle. I’d guess that it’s the sort that would buy the cheapest, most common ammo out there.. 55 grain or 62 grain, of whatever that they can afford is probably what the target market would be buying.
Also, you probably should have went with putting a cheap, decent 4 power to 9 power scope for testing, if you really want to test accuracy.. Iron sights ? Most will put them on, but most will use a cheaper red-dot. Again- looking at the target market.. Not using the same cheap magnified optic for testing, especially at 100 yards, is a disservice, in my opinion.
One thing you did get right .. Any of those guns are probably "good enough … "

  24. Ranger Smith on October 31, 2021 at 10:03 pm

It’s worth noting that Ruger AR-556 comes in a number of different models to meet just about anyone’s AR needs. It was my choice in late 2019 before things went sideways.

  25. Dan O'Hanlon on October 31, 2021 at 10:05 pm

This was very useful and done by two men who know what they are talking about! Thank you — much appreciated.

  26. DanMaJayYer on October 31, 2021 at 10:07 pm

I got a ruger 5.56…the trigger on mine is garbage. It’s super heavy and the charging handle is super gritty. Am not happy with it. Will be swapping everything out for better parts

  27. Blake M on October 31, 2021 at 10:08 pm

My psa likes lighter ammunition for some reason, both of them, hates 69 to 77 grain

  28. Dusty Van Brocklin on October 31, 2021 at 10:10 pm

The S&W now has a standard forward assist and dust cover

  29. scott2228 on October 31, 2021 at 10:11 pm

I’ve got a PSA I really like. Bought upper and lower separate for a total of $560. With Magpul furniture and polished mil spec trigger.
I ended up upgrading the BCG to Geissele.

  30. steve s on October 31, 2021 at 10:11 pm

you can’t really judge accuracy between 2 rifles when using iron sights for 1 and using red dot on the other rifle…and the red dot rifle is the personal rifle of the tester while he is not accustomed to iron sight rifle…non scientific by a mile.

  31. MANGQUEL HAYES on October 31, 2021 at 10:12 pm

Unless your planning on being in an all out fire fight buy what you can afford. $500-750 should get you a decent AR platform with some change leftover for ammunition.

  34. Larry Feltner on October 31, 2021 at 10:15 pm

LOOKING TO BUY/BUILD MY FIRST AR. THIS IS THE TYPE OF VIDEO I FIND HELPFUL IN MY FINAL DECISION. THANKS.

  35. John Dotter on October 31, 2021 at 10:16 pm

As long as you have a MIL SPEC AR-15 you can always interchange MIL SPEC parts.

  36. poopstain on October 31, 2021 at 10:18 pm

S&W sport 2 has forward assist. 10 times better that any other rifle in its class.

  37. Kevin Marshall on October 31, 2021 at 10:20 pm

THESE PRICES ARE MORE LIKE WHAT ALL OF THEM SHOULD BE PRICED. my mandp will point, shoot and hit the same target as daniel defense. just as reliably. gun snobs are jokes

  38. Unkn0WN Name on October 31, 2021 at 10:22 pm

    A couple things of note:
PSA is PSA. QC is what it is and specs vary wildly across their offerings.
Smith and Wesson publish almost no specs on their offerings. The barrels are 4140 (testing unknown) and the unknown bolts are marked MP. They do nitride both their barrels and BCGs though.
Ruger on the other hand lists quite a few specs. BCGs are 9310 shot peened and hpt and use hammer forged barrels that are also hpt. There seams to be major confusion as to what the bores are protected with (if anything) though.
Edit: Looks like stepping up to Rugars MPR line gets you a barrel that is Nitride.

With all of that known the M&P would be my pick for a rifle in the $600 range. (not exactly excited about the 1-9 twist though)
(in 2021 a basic PSA is $650 also) and Ruger doesn’t protect their barrel bores at this price point.

  39. will pittman on October 31, 2021 at 10:22 pm

Still rock my psa with the a2 sight and carry handle. 3k rounds later not a single jam. Once you learn the sights you are dangerous. It’s my end of the world gun, not the nicer ars with cool sights and grips and rails. My cheapest, most barebones is easily my best rifle I trust the most and trust my abilities with.

  40. rob moris on October 31, 2021 at 10:22 pm

PSA is great, buy some today and enjoy.

  41. Covencraft on October 31, 2021 at 10:25 pm

how do yall like the stage 2 Palmetto ar15’s?

  42. Mark Norwood on October 31, 2021 at 10:25 pm

Have to say NO, on the $400 assembled comment.
Even when this video was made, around $300 for a basic "KIT". Then you but a Stripped lower, and YOU build it. Then you buy whatever sights you want.
I DO LIKE PSA, I have several and am quite pleased.
He’s just wrong on the price.
And "TODAY’s" prices start around $500 for Kit’s. And the stripped lowers have about doubled in price. The cheapest I’ve seen is $99. But they’re usually "Out of Stock".

For cold weather hunting I use an ak47

  44. Z_ROck on October 31, 2021 at 10:26 pm

The good old days when ARs were under 800$ and ammo wasn’t 1$ a round. Being 19 and just trying to buy my first gun has been a nightmare

  45. John Davis on October 31, 2021 at 10:27 pm

I am new again to this. In other words, I had guns decades ago, but getting back into it. I am looking at a PSA, Since I live in South Carolina. I own a Ruger security 9 compact. I was looking at the Ruger, but I am on a budget

  47. notsosilentmajority1 on October 31, 2021 at 10:28 pm

It’s always tough to do comparisons when you are using iron sights against any sort of optic.

  48. Squidy on October 31, 2021 at 10:29 pm

That same rifle is 750$ now , wtf

  49. David Kolb on October 31, 2021 at 10:29 pm

I have a PSA Freedom 20” A3 and, I’d put it up against any standard 20” rifle out there!!!
