Thanks Joe, nice video and good tips. I’m taking up the sport again and have recently purchased a Ruger precision 6.5 creedmoor and getting the Vortex make but wasn’t sure which reticle and magnification was the best suited. I was thinking a Viper HS-T 4-16×44 but still need to do more research. Do you have any recommendations regarding this rifle. I noticed that you also have this make.
    Cheers Robert

Excellent explanation! Went from wondering what the hell a reticle is to understanding exactly what each one does. Awesome Thanks

Hi Joe I see this video is 5 years old but I figured I would ask anyway.I just bought a tikka t3x tac a1 in 6.5 creedmoor and want to get into prs shooting. Some people have said leupold mark 5 5×25×56 Pr2 reticle or tremor reticle.Tremor seems like a busy reticle.Other people have mentioned vortex razor gen 2 or new one gen 3 now.Just wondering what your advice would be just getting into prs.Thank you.

BDC reticles can be calibrated to any caliber with any bullet velocity with simple software available from most manufactures.

Just some through in advice, If you hunt, it’s best to get a reticle that lights up. In early morning and late evening hunts when all you can see is a shadow and a dark background, you wont be wasting time trying to place the dark reticle on kill shot placement, say like a black wild hog.
