how can you measure accuracy with different barrel size.

I’m glad I saw this video because I was about to do one with my gsg 1911 and my Walther P22. Now I have a great reference point to look back one different guns but the same guns at the same time.

Should add the new P22-QD to the mix as well.

I’ve found the P22 to be extremely accurate and very ergonomic (so long as you don’t have giant gorilla hands) for a small framed pistol.

That 1911 .22 is cool.😎 I am suprised the .22 rimfire could move the whole slide like that. Very nice.

CCI IS THE BEST AMMO, CLEANER AN WILL RUN IN MOST 22,I SOLD 4000 RDS OF THE FEDERAL DIRTY AN WOULD NOT RUN IN A SR22,I HAVE 1911 THAT WILL FEED ANYTHING AN IS MY BEST 22

Interesting. I haven’t had that problem with my PPQ with 5 inch barrel. How many rounds have been run through it since the last cleaning?

  7. 1Skeptik1 on March 13, 2023 at 2:59 am

Accuracy Challenge: Try a "blind" test. Shoot (6) targets (three per gun) and have a friend handle (mix) the targets so you don’t know which gun was used per target. IF you can match group tightness to a gun you strengthen the case for accuracy claim. Me? An old gallery shooter, .22 cal.: High Standard, Colt Gold Cup, Ruger Mk 1 (Scope and trigger job), Smith A-1, 6" Wrangler (target sights). I would not be quick to argue one more accurate than another short of a Ransom Rest test. Cheers

Plated always shoots cleaner and in my opinion cci is nicest .22lr and .22wmr rimfire. .22 stingers are amazing rimfire and that newer federal punch is impressive stuff in the .22lr

Is it normal to have the leading concentrated in just one section of the barrel like that? Definitely need to get me a bore scope… looks like there’s a lot one can learn about cleaning and barrel wear.

UPDATE July 2 2020 – Shortly after getting this uploaded I cleaned the mess from the PPQ barrel, went out and ran 50 rounds of CCI Mini Mag through it. After that, scoped it once again and it was fine. More to come as I try to figure out just what the issue is. And, oh, BTW, a rematch may be in order because the grouping at 10 yards offhand with those CCI was OUTSTANDING!

Another cool head to head on the 22 sidearms 👍

  12. OberGruppen Fulmer on March 13, 2023 at 3:27 am

Cool match up. Always enjoy these as a comparison between firearms in your collection.

  13. SouthpawRx on March 13, 2023 at 3:34 am

Cool 22lr comparison Chris! I like these videos!

  14. Iron Horseman on March 13, 2023 at 3:36 am

I have a couple of 22s that have this same problem when using lead round nose ammo. That’s why I try to stick with plated bullets.
