The Pentagon Is Protecting and Funding the Same Gun Makers Democrats Want to Regulate

Daniel Defense, the company that made the gun used by the Robb Elementary shooter, has been handed over 100 federal contracts.
President Biden called for a reckoning. “As a nation, we have to ask, ‘When in God’s name are we going to stand up to the gun lobby?” he said on Tuesday. “When in God’s name do we do what we all know in our gut needs to be done?”

Yet, his call stands in tension with the U.S. role in global arms purchases. The military that Biden oversees is reliant on a weapons industry that overlaps with the domestic gun industry and, in some cases, these industries are one and the same — a reality put horrifically on display in Uvalde.

Daniel Defense Inc. is a Georgia-based company that manufactured the DDM4 Rifle used by Salvador Ramos to carry out the mass shooting at Robb Elementary. Earlier this year, the company struck a contract for up to $9.1 million with the Pentagon. The deal was announced March 23 for the production of 11.5” and 14.5” cold hammer-forged barrels for the Upper Receiver Group – Improved.” This product refers to barrels that are used for rifles. The upper receiver is what contains the bolt, which is where the rifle cartridge sits…Democrats are virtue signaling, thats it.

So if someone rents a U-Haul van and runs through a crowd killing people……we can blame U-Haul and Chevrolet? What if he was pushing the gas pedal while wearing Nikes?

  8. Patrick Leeroy Farrington on August 23, 2022 at 8:10 pm

You people are foolish and childish… This *NEVER HAS ANYTHING TO DO WITH THE MAKER OF THE GUN* . You people are ridiculous. What about the manufacturers of my *butter knifes* in my kitchen drawer? What if all a sudden people started killing others with them by the hundreds

Don’t blame the manufacturer.the problem is mentally ill people.lock them all up.

  11. Javier Cardenas on August 23, 2022 at 8:11 pm

    More like free advertisement.

I’ve seen their marketing, and there’s nothing controversial about teaching gun responsibility, love for family, country, and liberty, to those of young age.

  12. Chris Sanchez on August 23, 2022 at 8:12 pm

Guns don’t kill people people kill people gun makers don’t kill people quit blaming them they can’t control how people use guns

  13. wigg814 on August 23, 2022 at 8:13 pm

It’s not the guns it’s ppl with hate in there hearts and unstable minds that are doing the shootings I can see maybe raising the age to 24 to buy a gun but that’s all I would support stop harassing and bullying these gun makers it’s not there fault and the gun is jus a tool it’s no more dangerous then a car that has been weaponized if someone that demented and determined to do evil are gonna do it no matter the tool they use fire car hammer more ppl are killed by feet and hands then with guns each year and u can’t just take straight gun deaths cause there is suicide and cops shooting ppl the number of actual gun violence deaths is much smaller then they say the actual number is over 8,000 a year not 80,000 like they would have you believe

  14. A B on August 23, 2022 at 8:14 pm

A person who is overcome with and intent on committing evil will do anything to achieve their goal. He could have and would have gone in with a knife, if he didn’t have a gun, and fulfilled his desire in the same fashion. Guns, just like knives, bats, hammers, etc., are only tools. In the wrong hands they can be used to commit evil. That’s why the term assault weapon can have many different definitions because anything used in the commission of an assault could be considered an assault weapon. And that is why so many Americans and the NRA are against gun control, because if we start banning "assault weapons" then there will be no end to what can be considered a weapon. Meanwhile those in power have armed protection while the rest of us are left to fend for ourselves amongst criminals. Don’t believe that, just look at places like LA where people are getting robbed in broad daylight due to California’s various gun laws and decriminalization policies. Laws do not affect criminals or those willing to commit a crime. Laws affect the law abiding citizens trying to live their life.

    It was a good ride….

  16. S P on August 23, 2022 at 8:14 pm

Number 1, no one cares about Slo Hiding, I mean, Joe Biden, visits… number 2, NRA is simply a membership group, and the shooter wasn’t even a member…number 3, even if he was a member, for argument’s sake, still can’t blame the NRA, or else Unions can be blamed for everything that one of their members do illegally…these clowns are actually harassing legal gun owners while the criminals are actually laughing at the victims, because they know they’re not getting blamed for their crimes!

  17. 11B Retired on August 23, 2022 at 8:18 pm

I will not be lectured on Gun Control by 11 News Alive, The Biden Administration, or a certain political party, that open the borders to the Mex Drug Cartel, soft on crime, and armed the Taliban with our assault rifles/military equipment.

  18. Matt Bonner on August 23, 2022 at 8:19 pm

Blaming the gun manufacturer is ridiculous, that lunatic went through every measure legally to obtain that firearm. Even when you order a firearm online it still has to be delivered to an FFL dealer who then runs the background check for the federal government. What happened in Texas was a tragedy, it was absolutely shameful and it makes me sick to my stomach. My question is when in America will we start blaming the person instead of the means?

There are millions of Americans with firearms that never break the law, stop blaming the firearm and blame person

  19. William Garza on August 23, 2022 at 8:19 pm

let’s start blaming the scapels when a doctor messes up…

  20. WickedDodgeBoys on August 23, 2022 at 8:22 pm

Just a fall guy. Everyone knows the gun manufacturer manufactures guns.

  21. Fat Panda Outdoors on August 23, 2022 at 8:24 pm

Fucking antigun people are so stupid, for 1 he was a MENTALLY ILL person, and 2, I own many guns and not ONE of those guns killed anyone, it’s not the gun, it’s the crazy ass people behind them, and I’m all for beefing up the background checks l, but to infringe on LAW ABIDING citizens constitutional rights ummm nope, and funny how these antigun and DEMONCRAT nutjobs don’t talk about the LAW ABIDING CCW carrying lady in Cleveland who shot and killed a man who was shooting at a crowd and saved multiple deaths, or the other case where carrying LAW ABIDING citizens shot the attackers and saved people, so get the fuck outtta here with that guns are evil bullcrap, hell, Timothy McVeigh killed all those people in Oklahoma with a truckload of fertilizer, so ban fertilizer too!

  24. Mark Hunt on August 23, 2022 at 8:29 pm

We need to sue Ford and Chevrolet, as well as bmw Audi and general motors for the I’ll gains and deaths of all our family members for cars being driven by drunk drivers. I’m so sick of humans thinking these manufacturers of death machines getting away with murder , and it’s everyday. I’m on board with sueing the car manufacturer and all components , let’s sue iron , and aluminum makers and miners.

  25. deadman on August 23, 2022 at 8:30 pm

imagine now if someone had a gun during the shooting and shot *to kill* the shooter in self defense inside the school. who would be the bad guy then? also, why y’all blaming my favourite rifle company? y’all know how a gun company works? they do not sell directly. they sell thru dealers and a gun store. the people at the DD factory had *zero clue* where the gun will go and in who’s hands it will go. you’re fucking ridiculous. it’s like blaming the car or the brand of alcohol the person drank when they crash and die because they drove drunk. it’s not the fault of either. it’s on the person and *solely on the person*.

  26. Michael Peterson on August 23, 2022 at 8:33 pm

What a joke! If someone bashes your head in with a hammer, is the manufacturer of the hammer responsible? It’s an idiotic concept!

  27. superfisher 43 on August 23, 2022 at 8:33 pm

My friend crashed his Mustang into a crowd of people in 2003 killing seven. If only he didn’t have access to a high performance vehicle like that car. Nobody needs 400hp. ACT NOW CONGRESS!!!

  28. The-Thin- Blue-Lie on August 23, 2022 at 8:34 pm

let me guess the problem is the gun he used had the manufacturers name… fucking ridiculous. let’s just blame the government for not making those pussies go in and save those kids. tyrants

  29. Jesus Gomez on August 23, 2022 at 8:37 pm

People wake up! This is serious DO NOT BLAME GUNS OR THE MANUFACTURERS. We need mental health programs for these kids, men, and woman in need of help. I refuse to loose my right to bear arms. Guns don’t kill people, stupid people kill people. This is a shame. We are the USA 🇺🇸 and I am a patriot. Generations of heroes have fought for our freedom’s! One being the right to bear arms!

  30. Douglas Price on August 23, 2022 at 8:38 pm

Ssssoooo we’re blaming the gun manufacturers for the actions of an idiot?
    Sounds legit.

  31. dodgefreak10159 on August 23, 2022 at 8:38 pm

How many lawsuits were there against airlines or plane manufactures after 9-11 ? Did we ban rental trucks or fertilizer after the Oklahoma City tragedy?

  37. Alle Plummer on August 23, 2022 at 8:46 pm

Blame the Pfizer shot for Covid. Blame vehicles for drunk driving wrecks. It’s so easy to point fingers at someone instead of holding yourself accountable and others accountable. Weak generation. 2nd amendment is a constitutional amendment and it shall not be infringed.

  38. D Car on August 23, 2022 at 8:46 pm

It’s a tragedy and something that was terrible but the only person to blame is the shooter society and our politics it’s not the manufacturer fault not even a little bit

  39. hunter s on August 23, 2022 at 8:47 pm

I’m not seeing the controversy here?

  40. Mike White on August 23, 2022 at 8:47 pm

The problem is mental health in canada they let mentally ill people walk the streets now because of cost cutting but blame anything else when something goes wrong condolences to the families.

  41. Zulksmash91 on August 23, 2022 at 8:47 pm

You can’t blame the gun manufacturer for how someone uses its product. Just like you can’t blame an alcohol company or car manufacturer for someone drinking and driving or ramming over a crowd of people at a parade..it’s not the gun…it’s the person.. removing guns from good guys is not the answer!

  42. Deanster on August 23, 2022 at 8:47 pm

It’s sad how politicians will use events like this to elevate their political career and attempt to enact their own laws and agendas regardless of political alignment, when the real focus should be on mourning and remembering the people who lost their lives, and finding out what happened to cause all this. The facts are that he was somehow given a used truck and 2 rifles worth over 3k total while working at a job that he couldn’t have afford any of the above, then went out and ended up shooting kids for way longer than he should have all because the cops didn’t intervene until it was far too late. All at a time where we just had a mass shooting a week or so prior and also just happened to be around the time one political party is going down on vote this election. Everything about this situation raises a whole lotta eyebrows to where even people with not an ounce of conspiracy theorist in them goes "Okay yeah, this shit don’t make no goddamn sense".

  45. Scott on August 23, 2022 at 8:49 pm

Having purchased a Daniel Defense, my question is where did he get the money for that rifle? $2000 without even iron sights. They are a top tier rifle manufacturer not to mention the cost of everything else he had. How did a school kid with no car or license come up with a chunk of change like that or know enough about weapons to kit up with the best equipment money can buy???? Sounds like he was given money and coached!!!!
