I love mine (standard version) in 308 and just picked up a 6.5 barrel – funny part was that, the Hornady Match in 308 @ 178 grain was not liked by mine only getting to 1 MOA – totally frustrating. That said, Federal Gold Match @ 175 got me down to .4 MOA. great system

Love your videos great channel. So you’ve had a chance to review this Delta 5 and Tikka T3x Tact A1….. any comments comparing the two??I am considering these two guns to start off with and competition. I am a right handed person but have a dominant left Eye, So if I were to consider those two guns above I would buy the Tikka in left hand left shoot it left handed. The Delta five I have no choice but to go right handed. Now I caught caught your comment about keeping your head steady as well as your non-trigger handIf you are wanting accurate repeatable groups. What you said has really stuck with me and makes me want to get nothing but a left handed rifle/chassi. Do you feel moving my non-trigger hand to cycle the bolt will lead to inconsistent groupings

My Delta 5 pro had to have been built on Friday at 3 o’clock, wouldn’t shoot consistent groups sent it back to Daniel Defense and they blamed the scope and ammunition, not to mention had to lube the chamber every 10 shots or it would jam up.

Glad to see this rifle performing well. I attended the press event for the first gen of this rifle a few years ago, and while it was nice, it did have issues with the bolt. Thanks for the vid brother.

Great video. My .308 Delta 5 in the regular stock shoots .5 MOA all day long with Federal GMM and a Vortex Viper PST Gen 2 5-25. Had issues with the trigger not cocking reliably below 2.5 pounds. Set to 2.8 and issues resolved. Probably going to call DD about that, but it is my ONLY complaint about this rifle.

For a 16 inch 308 hard use rifle, how would you decide between the 16inch variant of DD D5P vs Tikka Tx3 Tac A1? DD told me they’re coming out with a side folding adapter, so once that’s out, which direction do I go? Looking to keep package small for running Surefire RC2 762. Thank you!

I’m torn. I want to get a 6.5 creed and I want either the tikka t3X Tac A1 or this delta pro I really like both. They know both of these guns are target rifles so it would be nice if they would put heavy barrels on them from the jump

Question for ya: I don’t really know much about long range precision shooting, so forgive me if this is a dumb question… but do you think a Delta 5 Pro 24” 6.5CM is capable of shooting at a mile? I know it certainly won’t hit with as much energy as a 300WM, 300PRC, 300NM, 338LpM, 338NM, etc.

I have a delta 5 pro, with the 308 barrel. I really like the thing, and I think its a pretty good chassis design and have had good luck with it so far. However, one of the reasons I originally bought it was because of the barrel nut system that makes it so easy to switch calibers, one of the main features they advertised. Unfortunately, I’ve been waiting over a year for the 6 Creedmoor varmint barrels to be available to purchase, yet they still are not. Someday, maybe…
