Video helped alot slid the bottom portion of slide back while taking the retainer clip so there wasn’t pressure on it made it a breeze to take apart dont pull the trigger once slide is off not very fun to have to put the pin and spring back into place. The pick in the hole for slide spring saved me that thing sucked to out back on all in all great video sir.

Thanks for the video. I inherited the same pistol as video from dad. It shoots fine but also jamming is a problem. Also like you old ammo I was hoping but now I know I’m in for some work.

I inherited this gun from my father and shoot it a few times at the range the other day, it definitely needs to be serviced! Thanks for the video!

How well I know that feeling of having a small part go flying off. Some I have never found. Frustrating!

Apparently it was a German design from Sportwaffenfabrik that was licensed to many manufactures. They can be found with many different brand names including Reck, Spesco, Falcon, Gecado, and Hawes, and Hy Hunter.

Thanks! I have the same pistol. I was shooting on a farm some years back (pre-internet) and it fell apart! I gathered the pieces but never found the follower that bassically holds it all together. Took to a couple of Smiths but no luck.

Any idea of the value of this gun?

I never heard of them, but that do’snt mean anything, any idea of the yr of manufacture, thx for the vid. An would these be considered the "Saturday Night Specials" I heard about in the 60’s an 70’s, or a better built weapon.

That hole in the guide rod is so with the slide off you can put both springs on the guide rod, then push the guide rod through the slide. While through the slide you put an object in the hole, this makes reassembly so much easier because the spring tension doesn’t affect putting the slide back on.
