GARBAGE ProMAG 7.62/39 AK47 – 50 Round Drum DO NOT BUY

GARBAGE ProMAG 7.62/39 AK47 – 50 Round Drum DO NOT BUY

Absolute garbage. DO NOT BUY.

So I bought a ProMAG 50 round drum for my AK47 and it is the biggest pile of garbage I have ever bought. I should have listened to all the negative reviews about this thing because they were right. It jams up, unloads heavy, won’t align right when chambered and it has destroyed several rounds of ammunition aka bullets; adding to a very dangerous situation. I do not recommend ProMAG not will I buy any of their magazines. They are designed poorly. The magazines are thin plastic and just cheaply made. Not impressed at all.

You need to take a knife and slice a few bits of plastic on the magazine to make it smoother. It will work perfectly then. I had the same problem with every FAB Defense Ultimag, but after "filing" some plastic off, it works properly.

You need to understand that an AK was never designed for these fancy mags and attachments, but It has the ability to "adapt" to anything with some tough love.

Lube it and shove it in 😀

Bought the 50rnd 9mm colt style, garbage too….

Maybe your AK just dont like afternarket mags. Maybe stick wuth the mags it came with. Cause i have the promag 50 round drum for my M&P shield 9. And so far no issues. Other than the slide needs to be locked back before inserting the mag. But 9 times out of 10 if you need to load the 50 rounder in a dramatic scenario the slide would be locked back from the previous mag dump. Thus making it not an issue. And besides. They have tested them on enough AKs to bring it down to a margin of error. Some platforms suck. Some are amazing. Just depends on how much youre willing to spend, and who manufatured it.

Is your name Robin you look just like a guy I know named Robin

  26. George Rivera on July 25, 2022 at 8:05 pm

Idk I jus cycled through half the drum with no issues might be that it doesn’t fit every ak style rifle perfectly… if u read the instructions that came with the drum it does say the mag might have to be fitted to ur rifle due to variations of styles from different manufacturers
