In this day and age, it is important to update civilian drivers on the rules and regulations pertaining to Georgia Law when it comes to firearms in a motor vehicle. Lt. Matt McClung and Lt. Brent Davis (earlier depicted as Sgt. Davis before his promotion) of the City of Monroe, GA Police Dept. demonstrate the proper etiquette during a traffic stop encounter between an officer and a civilian, and present several scenarios which are both appropriate and not advised, consequently risking the safety of both the driver and the officer.
That cop said don’t make any sudden movements or I just might put a cap your ass. Lol
Good video, the only thing I would like to point out is a vehicle isn’t exactly considered an extension of the home. as per OCGA 16-11-126(a)
(a) Any person who is not prohibited by law from possessing a handgun or long gun may have or carry on his or her person a weapon or long gun on his or her property or inside his or her home, motor vehicle, or place of business without a valid weapons carry license.
Innocent until proven guilty. Not in this video.
I can say Georgia with these officers has impressed me. I should add that I am not often impressed. Good job guys.

If only all police encounters was like this then, the public can put their faith and trust into the police force but unfortunately you have some assholes that were bullied and beat up in high school and is now taking it out on other folks but I do commend you guys for showing other officers how it really should go good job.

Lies, and pure propaganda. Georgia police have murdered innocent legally armed people where video shows them being polite, and cooperative. Atlanta PD are rife with examples of severe rights violations, planting dope, framing people, assaults, thieving, and murder. The primary purpose is revenue, filling jail cells brings in Federal, and State subsidies, tickets obviously are revenue driven. Never the less the examples are valid, but often are useless against crooked hot heads in uniform.

Public servants are required to treat every person with dignity and respect, we are innocent until proven guilty, they cannot treat everyone like a criminal, but until we the people stand up for our rights they will continue to take them from you, know your rights America! Bit unprofessional with that Second Amendment quip. In that state not legally obligated to say anything about the firearm. If the cop sees it in its holster he shouldn’t assume its a criminal with a gun. They need some training with due process.

In no way ever will they just write a warning for speeding 15 over… but also you have the constitutional right to not exit your vehicle.

Let me get this right; Georgia is following the constitution?! This is a great video. Never volunteer anything to the police, this include if you’re carrying a weapon. It’s none of their business.
They are using glock practice guns….Glock HQ is in Smyrna, GA…..I may or may not have taken an armorer course there.

Well last part was not really accurate. There are too many officers that are stressed or even escalate situations if you are discourteous. But please be courteous snd do not jeopardize your life with some of these officers.
The last bit was funny, you should have abused him worse and see if he could keep from laughing.
Watch this video about two or three times to get the complete and accurate account of the situation now I would like for them to make a video when the roll is reverse and a black guy is in the driver seat and a white guy is on the outside being a cop and see if this will go down the exact same way this video is trying make people to believe that this is typical it’s not typical unless you are white, had this been a role reversal and a black guy was in the car this video would have gone whole lot different.
