I can listen to barry for hours. I would have loved for him to be around to make 1 hour+ long podcasts
My last time seeing Barry was him leaving moss pawn in his Ford Ranger, I was in a 93 Toyota truck and I pulled out behind him and we "raced" until the speed limit in our little trucks.
He said thats just a part of the gun so could it also be a gun part as well ?
Good video. I have one quibble though. The word "pistol" refers to ANY gun designed to be fired from the hand alone rather than being shouldered. If you don’t believe me, look it up in the dictionary. I understand that many people today only use the term to refer to semi=automatic handguns, but this is not really specific, and could lead to confusion. The terms "revolver," and "semi-automatic," are more specific if one wishes to denote the type of loading mechanism. I always make the distinction and say "semi-automatic,", or "revolver." As a further example, what word would you use for a hand held dueling flintlock made in the 1700s? A dueling PISTOL, surely.
Love the mention of the Marlin 25! My first and favorite firearm is a 1978 25 Glenfield that was given to me by my favorite uncle when I was 12 in 1997, I bet I’ve easily fired 300,000 rounds through that little rifle and, after having the bolt worked on once or twice and doing some trigger improvements it’s still an absolute tack-driver. They cost nothing and are just AMAZING rimfire rifles. I don’t know about the newer 25s, I assume they’re great, too.
Actully clip is more an accurate description ,rather than magazine…
a magazine is a compartment were ammo is stored…the "magazine" of a Simi auto pistol is just something that allows you to feed more than one round in the compartment of the gun where ammo is stored..the word clip is a pretty accurate description of this removable feeder…
the first designs of this You Actully clipped the ammo to it…
hence the word clip..
"I need flint for my wheel gun!"
"I don’t understand. You don’t use flint in a revolver."
"No! A wheel gun!"
"You mean a wheelock?"
"I dunno what you call it, but I need flints for it."
"Umm, you don’t use flint in a wheelock. You need pyrites…"
Barry was a legend, RIP friend.
"John Browning was no dumbass." Biggest understatement ever. Guy made the Browning Hi Power, the M1911, the .380, .45ACP, and the .50BMG. Firearms industry would be completely different without his contributions.
I need some tightening ropes for my feet goves.
Don’t go to the gun shop asking for parts until you’ve reviewed the exploded view of your firearm. This really goes for anything needing repair your unfamiliar with
I know what color calls that beta mag a barrel..
Theres pin stop in 1911 yes ….trugger has to push it before hammer drops to allow firing pin to push forward …try it on your 1911s …cock it and get some pen and try pushing pin where hammer hits it …if it goes forward then its older style 1911 gun
Got any fo fo? LoL
1:54 I thought that was in my home lmao
The way you even say “ghetto” explains exactly who you are. Where’s your confederate flag Asshole
Does AR stand for Arma lite?
It’s only a 100 year old 1911 design if it’s a 1911-A1 70 series
Barry, miss that guy. Though I never knew him.
Pretty cool thanks for all the information guns
Simply minded;
Iraqi veteran 8888.
A Simple definition.
Video popped in my recommendations. Miss you Barry. Good man.
Republican gun owners can’t shoot from a horse like a NATIVE AMERICAN THROWS A LANCE AT A BUFFALO. REPUBLICANS ARE DEPENDENT ON AUTOMATIC GUNS
8 years later. Still miss Barry.
0:52 titties
I live in 🇬🇧 ( the most borinest country in the world ), unfortunately we are not allowed 2 carry / use guns , but i would love 2 own a gun , that would be great bro , unfortunately our peadofile government will never allow it ??
✌️Out
I never met Barry, but I sure do miss him. Most of all though. I’m thankful I lived in the same time he lived. Even if it was a very brief time. knowing he was out there in the world in my lifetime is something I can always be happy about.
Ghetto? Lol Fuk Barry
gun buying terminology;
(ripoff merchant) = pawnshop clerk…
Thank you for valuable information !
16 in the clip
And 1 in the hole
Nate dog is about
To make some bodies turn cold.
Kidding. Seriously. Kidding.
What happened to the term i grew up with — selfloading or auto loader? For example my first centerfire rifle — Winchester 351 self loading —
You guys can be informative without being gun snobs
Look, I don’t get what’s so hard to understand. I wanted a barrel for my AK-47. I mean, how else am I going to pickle my AKs if I don’t have a barrel to put them in?
Ahh, yes…. learning "ghetto slang" from a couple yahoos who learned everything about they know about inner cities from tv and movies. 😄😄😄
He called a revolver a pistol then says its a revolver not a pistol
I would love to hear his perspective today
"I knew two people who shot themselves in the ass with one of these…" lol
i don’t understand what he means, frame and upper? what is an upper?, never mentioned it in the video. also the frame is the pistol, that holds all the guts?!,
it’s not making much sense to me, they are talking about revolvers :S.
(edit: searched on google and found out what the hell they meant)
"Striker Fire" is a knock off term of Glocks "safe action" because Glock has a patent on the name.
Never forget. It’s the 30 clip magazine guns with fully semi-automatic bump stocks that make it legal to hunt humans with heat seeking bullets.
Miss ya Barry- you were a wealth of knowledge.
Love ole Barry such a unique character and a wealth of knowledge, RIP Barry
when it’s on my dime, I call it what I want…when you start purchasing my stuff for me…we’ll call it what you want
These guys really hate black people, don’t they….
these guys are the 2 biggest drags on the internet
I have to call “bull shit” for your thunder ranch crap. A revolver is a pistol. They were pistols before semi automatic handguns were in existence. Single shot handguns were also called pistols. The men who used them were referred to as pistoleros. Only recently did the range experts decide that semiautomatics are the only handguns to be “correctly “ referred to as pistols. I guess they were too lazy to say semiautomatic or too afraid to just call them automatics for fear of being corrected by some other “experts “ who insist that automatics refer to only fully automatic weapons. So please, in a video that is designed to make terms clear with respect to firearms, don’t continue the myth that revolvers are not pistols and that only semiautomatic handguns are pistols.
Actually you’re using gun slang when you say a revolver isn’t a pistol. It is
Haha I’ve called it a barrel mag by accident. Not because it was slang though. I just don’t have to refer to them very often and messed up.
I thought Auto Ordnance ceased production of the Thompson submachine gun completely and now only makes semi auto versions?
