I’ve watched 100+ videos of single barrel Shotguns of all makes. Mostly H&R topper and Hatfield, Tri Star and others, with 410 bore or 20 Ga. I have an H&R 12 single Bay State my grandfather gave to my dad. My Dad said he was 14 when he received it in 1931 and gave it to me in 1956 on my 14th birthday. I hunted with it for more than 40 years and have kept it in good condition. ..But research has contradicting results on the date of manufacture. 1908 or 1940. Any pros out there can help? Thanks.

Define "Very Old"….I have an Iver Johnson that was made in 1935 and it still shoots well.

In looking at that SN# looks like a 1965 issue. Looks well kept.
