Hi Point JXP 10mm "Budget Handgun" – TheFirearmGuy

Hi Point JXP 10mm “Budget Handgun” For a cheap 10mm pistol, this worked fine for me. It is not high quality but it runs.

my local retail store has the 10mm for 200 too. i own the 40 & just bought 45 few months ago. i’ll always support them since their guns always go bang & great price for a truck gun. plus they are USA made from ohio & 90 minutes from me.

Just read in Firearms News in the review of this gun an interesting point: while other manufacturers have had recalls over the years Hi Point has NEVER had a recall. Food for thought…..

  5. PsychoticGenius on May 10, 2023 at 4:15 am

50 oz, at least when you run out of ammo, you can beat them to death with it 😛

  6. L.A. on May 10, 2023 at 4:16 am

    Can’t beat the price 👌😎

  7. Flex bender on May 10, 2023 at 4:16 am

Heavy with a fixed barrel should be easier to be accurate.

  8. Randy Chavez on May 10, 2023 at 4:20 am

    Whaaaa…no limp wrist test? 🤣😂

  9. Bill Villa on May 10, 2023 at 4:22 am

Great video Dan…it is important to point out that you can get functional guns for a cheap price. Personally, I think High Points are ugly, but that doesn’t matter…they work!

Great review as always!! I’m on the fence still tbh about this brand but I’m getting closer to buying them them further..7lbs is heavy for a smaller built guy truthfully..

  11. wolco003 on May 10, 2023 at 4:23 am

I hope everyone buys one or two so they start making more 10mm ammo!

  13. Joshua Redic on May 10, 2023 at 4:25 am

It’s the the blowback operation is more suitable for 10mm or something.

  14. Lloyd Jones on May 10, 2023 at 4:27 am

I’ve had the 995 carbine for years . I’ve now got the JXP10 internet ordered ($161) since no local shop has any. Can’t wait to get it.
    Great video!

  15. 4thbalanceofpower on May 10, 2023 at 4:28 am

Good for you for not defaulting to beating up on their quality. This video felt like an actual unbiased review.

  16. MR. P on May 10, 2023 at 4:29 am

No not pot metal this is much too heavy to be pot metal pot metal is more porous.

  17. Flat Plane Oregon on May 10, 2023 at 4:29 am

    Great shooting my man.
This firearm is impressive. Eerily similar to an early blowback operated handgun by Hk called the vp70z.
Many owners of which have said the Hi-Point’s are more reliable.
    Oh the gun snob irony…
Take comfort Hi-Point, for thou art vindicated by H&Ks earliest attempts to establish their name.
I will alwys have at least a couple "useful IS as useful DOES" Hi-Point’s in my collection.
    Practice makes Proficient.
May you and yours receive all good things.
    Peace

I remember that CP380 video well.I used it as a reference when I did a video on the Hi Point 9mm carbine about 8 years ago.

  19. Yeet Yeet on May 10, 2023 at 4:30 am

I have a lot of 2000 dollar pistols. I bought this because it is cheaper than my shoes. I love it. Not one malfunction

  20. Rick Perry on May 10, 2023 at 4:30 am

I like Hi point do you like Hi points Hi hillbilly

  21. Shawn Michael on May 10, 2023 at 4:32 am

If it doesn’t work… you can always hit them with it.
    Borris the Blade.

  22. 37gdog on May 10, 2023 at 4:33 am

This gun literally fits no category of use. At 50oz it’s too heavy to carry anywhere, not conceal carry, not hiking, nothing. Save another $150 and find a used M&P or Springfield.

  23. Mark Adams on May 10, 2023 at 4:35 am

10mms are great. Thanks for this review. You got a heck of a deal for $200!!

  24. Cecil Sowers on May 10, 2023 at 4:35 am

From the ones I have saw and the ones I have read about the gun is pretty much flawless up on firing. Various 10 mm rounds and even 40 S&W ran great. No I do not own one but I plan on it soon just because it’s a 10 mm and there are haters in this world for the Hi-Point and I know it will work. I saw one review where a guy was using his reloads and complaining about failures to feed factory ammo works fine.
When I get one I will replace the rear sight and add the Picatinny rail and red dot and yes use it to hunt with just because I can. I have a couple of real nice high end 10 mm and I think this one will fit in there just for fun.

  25. C C on May 10, 2023 at 4:36 am

I want one of these so bad 😂

  26. Mike C on May 10, 2023 at 4:38 am

Great video Dan. I’ve got a threaded barrel yeet cannon g1 with $100 bill grips lol. It’s been reliable. I bought it just because. My first handgun when I was 21 was a hi point c9 it was pretty reliable through several thousand rounds. It cost me $112 and I was thrilled to finally own a handgun!

  27. Unstoppable Yaris on May 10, 2023 at 4:41 am

    Oh look, a shootin’ hammer!

  28. Wink on May 10, 2023 at 4:42 am

Hating on a hipoint these days is just ignorant. I truly want one. The new models fascinate me. Can’t wait to see what this company can do when it really starts to take off.

  29. Lance Kelly on May 10, 2023 at 4:44 am

👍👍thanks Dan. One thing I’ve always liked about you is that you show and review firearms from different price ranges, from the highest to the lowest you show all of them.

  30. minigmac1 on May 10, 2023 at 4:44 am

    Thanks for the excellent review!

  31. Jeffrey Babino on May 10, 2023 at 4:50 am

    Wow Nice great video thanks

  32. Moo Butt on May 10, 2023 at 4:50 am

Wooooo! Ohio technology! They’re ugly and cheap, but they run 🤷‍♂️

  33. David Abernathy on May 10, 2023 at 4:51 am

Well now this was a interesting video and not too bad of a 10 mm for a Hi-Point. I hate to be a high point. Snob, but I just cannot get used to the clunky design. There’s just no way that I would ever buy a high point pistol. However, I do like their carbines and I own one of their nine millimeter carbines.

  34. Anthony Leiva on May 10, 2023 at 4:55 am

    Love HI-POINT

  35. Roger Ray on May 10, 2023 at 4:57 am

  36. shawn waller on May 10, 2023 at 4:58 am

My first 9mm was a stallard who hipoint bought great pistol.

  37. Richard Bleiweiss on May 10, 2023 at 4:58 am

This is the third review I’ve seen where the left side dot of the rear sight popped out.

  38. Aaron on May 10, 2023 at 4:59 am

Holy shit that’s ugly lol I want one just to destroy it lol

  39. Richard Johnson on May 10, 2023 at 5:00 am

Good review. I enjoyed it. I had a 9mm High Point many years ago. Think ran like a Swiss watch. Finally got bored with it and sold it for more than I paid for it. I’ve never had much interest in the 10mm, but this might change that. Why not?

  40. wolco003 on May 10, 2023 at 5:00 am

If this was on Newsom’s Naughty List I would probably buy just to say I own it. Luckily? I was limited to the G29SF for 10mm.

  41. Mike Reese on May 10, 2023 at 5:00 am

I think I saw one channel have issues and everyone else it just runs.

  42. dmxisraw on May 10, 2023 at 5:02 am

    The Real YEET CANNON!🤣💪🏾💪🏾

  43. K.E. Stone on May 10, 2023 at 5:02 am

NICE SHOOTING! Hey, Taurus came back. Why can’t Hi-Point? A best buddy bought their 9mm on a lark. I teased him about….He reports that it’s surprisingly reliable!

  44. Jeremy Frix on May 10, 2023 at 5:04 am

I just now checked with a scale mine only weighs 24 ounces and i have a tack light on mine

  45. Eduardo Hermoso on May 10, 2023 at 5:07 am

How I wish that hi point would come out with a hi cap version that uses Glock mags. They can make both pistols and carbines in this version.

  46. MrKingArthurhk on May 10, 2023 at 5:08 am

    A waste of 10mm.

  47. Dylan Owens on May 10, 2023 at 5:09 am

Does it cylce 40s&w to save $ on ammo for practice?
10mm ammo costs more than the hi point.

  48. George Geeseman on May 10, 2023 at 5:10 am

Thinking seriously of one for a truck gun.looks fine to me. I’m not leaving my Sig in my vehicle.

  49. Rhyne B on May 10, 2023 at 5:10 am

Not a fan of high point, but agreed you have to give it to them for making a working gun at such a price point.

  50. ThaTank Garner on May 10, 2023 at 5:11 am

Was Hi Point called Haskel at first. In the early nineties
