Hidden Weapons in Non Permissive Environments

Definitely check your local laws on concealed weapons when it comes to bringing them into non-permissive environment. The best weapon in this video is definitely the markers from Clanton Combatives, you can check them out at https://trainingforreality.com/self-defense-tools

In 1986, I heard an NSA consultant say that someone could hijack a plane by holding a pencil to the throat of a flight attendant.

Nothing was done to improve security for more than twenty years. I’m still not convinced security has improved.

If you don’t have a Kevlar thread garotte sewn into every piece of clothing you own, you’re not really trying to carry a weapon.

  2. Gray Wind on May 6, 2023 at 3:38 am

One thing about the VZ daggers is they never rust. Maybe you work in a high humidity, or salt water environment where even rust rusts more.

I keep the spikes needed to repair car tyres nearby in case there is need for a puncture….. Australia the police nanny state. But if i get a flat tyre …. im prepared .

I carry a blunt wooden toy dagger i got at the local Renaissance fair in my Scott-e vest brand Hoodie (it has A LOT of pockets) and it cold possibly stop a knife if they are doing a slash and i block it with the side of it and the tip is just sharp enough that if you jam it into pressure points it can really hurt, it is hand carved and made of cherry wood, if anyone questions you about it you can say "oh, it is just a toy" and most would let it pass i assume

The best guy would be the security guy. That’s who we lean on. Don’t you? 🤗

    Weapons? What weapons?
Security should always have the best weapons at hand for our safety and protection.
We all gotta trust some body greater than us. 👀

One possibility is a club thatwands you .. at the door but you want something for that long walk out to the car in the dark parking lot at the end of the night… Not that you need these weapons while you’re in the building but you want them for when you head out to the parking lot to your car

  10. Contessa Adella on May 6, 2023 at 3:48 am

In UK you can carry a regular writing pen, but be careful if questioned about using it for defence in an attack. If the police suspect you carry a pen with the INTENT to use it as a weapon, THEN you will be treated as though carrying an offensive weapon….which means prison. Yes! Seriously. If you have to use a pen, push it HARD through an eye or ear…if possible give it a hand bash to drive it home. It will stop anyone, and if it reaches the brain, probably kill them.

  11. Anthony Jones on May 6, 2023 at 3:48 am

The key thing everyone needs to understand … YOU are the weapon…. everything else are just tools you might get to use… depending on where you are and your specific circumstances. For example… you sit down at a restaurant… you have the plate, the mug or glass and its liquid, the silverware, the chair, handful of salt/pepper to blind or distract, throw the food or condiments (tabasco or syrup in someone’s eyes is nasty)… in short use what is around you… and of course if you can carry something (knife, firearm, etc.) that is a bonus. Regardless remember – YOU are the weapon – now train yourself to not be a victim.
    All the VERY BEST!

  12. Ātmārām on May 6, 2023 at 3:49 am

I’ve already had this conversation with myself and I think the best thing is an actually hard plastic pen with a hard tip. I am talking of a real pen, that you can actually use to write. You could certainly carry into some place the fake pens or markers that are actually weapons, nobody would spot that, however if you then end up in a situation where you have to use it, you’re going to risk getting a premeditation charge. Whereas a real pen has plausible deniability. I think people don’t realize how hard you can stab with the right pen if you got a little skill.

2:42 hmm. 2 scenarios come to mind. 1. You’re going to a public event, and you’re taking public transit to get there, through a seedy part of a city. 2. Your current job location is in a seedy part of a city, and you’re taking public transit to get there (even if you have a vehicle because you’d rather leave the vehicle at home, due to crime).

It’s nice to know I’m not the only one with these thoughts and hobbies. Not that I recommend being ‘normal’ aaaaaaargh no!

  16. Stevonnie Jenkins on May 6, 2023 at 3:54 am

As i like to say, anything can be a weapon if you are creative enough, even a wet Sponge can be a weapon if you jam it down a windpipe!

  17. Unpopular Movie Reviews on May 6, 2023 at 3:55 am

I have been to a lot of concerts and conventions in the LA area and often have to park several blocks away from the convention in a sketchy neighborhood. I’m not worried about defending myself at the convention itself but more worried going to and from the convention and having something that I can protect myself with.

  18. Red Pill Nibbler on May 6, 2023 at 3:56 am

Just a normal pencil will do surely? You can carry them as edc virtually anywhere.
Also carry a notebook with shopping lists etc in case old bill gets inquisitive (don’t laugh, you don’t know what it’s like here — UK!)
A pencil will pierce flesh as good as you’d need in a self defence emergency and an attacker will get a shock when he didn’t see a pencil clenched in each hand — until he unexpectedly transforms into a human colander!

  19. Stink Eye on May 6, 2023 at 3:57 am

Mike, aka Ragnar Lothbrooke, doesn’t need anything but an axe. If he learned how to sound like Ragnar think how much fun he would be talking about how he was going to kill someone.

There are tutorials on how to throw a toothpick like a weapon.

Practice until you have a really good aim, learn major nerves and what they do and flick the toothpick

What if a cane is a cane, as in not containing any spike, but built really durable like an escrima stick?

  24. Jean Morin on May 6, 2023 at 4:01 am

A sharpened pencil is an awesome killer.

  25. Pedro Claro on May 6, 2023 at 4:05 am

    Flashlight 10/10 worldwide
Pencil 10/10 if you’re John Wick, 7 otherwise. But bring a thick one, not the ones you had in school.
    Pen/kubaton/that other thing 4/10 obviously a weapon

For EDC nerds, a prybar 9/10
    For hikers bear spray duh
For 40+ people normal walking canes are dope!

For DIY ninjas, I made a belt weapon with a piece of rope that goes around my waist once. One end has a small weight and the other a bigger one. Small for grip, bigger for striking. For me it’s 10/10 because I’m either running away or I’m fighting back.

  26. mitch on May 6, 2023 at 4:05 am

If you’re being held at gunpoint you definitely don’t want the person pointing a gun at you to know that you have a weapon in your possession. That’s why you would want to disguise a weapon.

  27. Gray Wind on May 6, 2023 at 4:06 am

Your most like to come across aggressors with guns, knives, bludgeon type weapons in that order. Gear up accordingly. Pepper spray is very useful for the unarmed dude raging or being aggressive for whatever reason to buy you space.

  28. Doris on May 6, 2023 at 4:06 am

My keys on a long neck lanyard are all I got. NOT carried around my neck! Lanyard looped over my thumb, keys in my fist. Gives me a swinging weight if the attacker is still not in contact & could keep it that way if I can get the eyes, ears or crotch. If the attacker is close, then they reinforce my fist. (Best shot a girl’s got to get away)

  29. Cassandra Shearing on May 6, 2023 at 4:06 am

Oh wow this is the best I’ve seen in so long just the way you think Mike, it’s like watching a male version of me! ❤

  30. Govinda on May 6, 2023 at 4:06 am

From a Euroean perspective I don’t know what’s wrong with all this people who always be scared!
Why do you feel the need for weapons?
Every person with a weapon makes your live way more dangerous. You can start with yourself to make life secure – don’t have any weapons!
Visit Europe and you will see: no guns and knives, no fears and living is good and safe for all. Just start to stop this wrong thinking, weapens would make your live safe – look at the reality, the opposite is true.

I’m a senior and in my pocket is a 12-inch lanyard (for leverage when swung) attached to a 1" steel nut. Attack me and then figure out how to dig the nut out of your skull.

Are we related, you’re brilliant, more more more 🤣

  35. Tom Cooney on May 6, 2023 at 4:14 am

Hey, thug piece of shit here LMAO

Nah not really, but I wanted to say that belt is fuckin stupid as someone who has a good amount of experience concealing weaponry from all kinds of folks. The problem with all those, "tactical concealment" type devices is usually that they look like they’re designed by a cop. They’re obviously off to anyone who runs in criminal circles, and you’re probably only gonna be, "the good guy" in a situation where you’re specifically trying to conceal weapons from criminals. So for, "good guys" it’s not practical cuz anyone with 2 brain cells to rub together is AT LEAST gonna see that and think you’re possibly a cop, and if you’re a, "bad guy" same problem and the kind of people who are running wands over you n shit are usually mall-cop type motherfuckers who obsess over crap like this, so they might even recognize your belt from their own fixations.

I ain’t had a reason to worry about concealing a weapon from anyone for a real long time, but I personally wouldn’t use any of the things that were shown in this video. If you’re the kind of person who is gonna need to go into places where you need to be able to hurt people without getting stopped at a metal detector- learn to use your damn hands. All this stuff about, "oh, I could get a weapon past a metal detector, it’s glorified plastic and WILL work in a pinch" is just ignorant to me because you’re gonna be better served training to improvise yourself a weapon or grapple a person and use larger objects around you AS a weapon. For example, if I’m having an argument in a kitchen with a man, and he pulls a kitchen knife off the block, but he’s between me and that knife block, my weapon is now the counter. After I try and get control of him, of course.

Weapons are good to be able to carry, sure, but something you gotta keep in mind that even these pen spikes showcase really well is that humans aren’t made of tissue paper, but also not really that durable either. You can literally use the ground as a weapon if you get someone on their back and grab their hair. Like Mike’s said many times, you need to be able to fight to use a weapon, weapons don’t fix not being able to fight. Getting a sneaky little spike past a metal detector could be of value, maybe you just haven’t got the physicality to throw people around like some folks do, but in general it’s gonna be a lot easier to wrestle a man and beat his ass the old fashioned way.

Good video. Always thinking about things like this given the stupidity of politicians and administrators. Aside from two opposable thumbs, I always carry a metal pen.

Of course it’s a deadly weapon, I once saw john wick kill 3 men in a bar with one…..

  44. Jeremy Whiteley on May 6, 2023 at 4:26 am

Always carry a pen. Then if someone wants to ‘dance’ jab it into their aorta then unscrew the pen and empty out the ink tube so the pen can allow more blood to flow out FASTER! Also, always carry a torch lighter this way if anyone wants to FAAFO [fuck around and find out] with you @ a fueling station simply spray gas on them and ask if they want to see the size of your LIGHTER?!

  45. John Redman on May 6, 2023 at 4:27 am

I’ve got a "6 inch ruler" that has never been discovered to be more than a measuring instrument even though it contains something very useful to self-defense.

  46. Jean Casola on May 6, 2023 at 4:33 am

Years ago I used my belt as a weapon, it worked. These days, I use old reliable, the whip. I have given one to each of my older kids and I have 2, one for the car and one for home. I will carry it if I go walking. I have no doubt I could go against 3 or 4 men and would not be afraid to use it. Thankfully I have not used it yet. T.
