I don’t really ever plan to own a gun, but your videos are very interesting and have taught me a lot of things that I didn’t know about guns!! Thank you for making these videos.

  6. Anonymous Lee on May 25, 2022 at 6:57 pm

Even without the Patreaon, I doubt a Hi Point sets you back much. They’re definitively an economy gun

  7. Arturo Rodriguez on May 25, 2022 at 6:58 pm

Best holster …. DeWalt impact drill holster…🤣

  8. Bud White on May 25, 2022 at 7:01 pm

Dude the pimp suit to the trailer park 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣. I forgot who said it, but it was someone else’s gun channel and a very true quote, “you can show up to the firefight with your Gucci Glock and 3,000$ Colt AR and still get clapped by a Hi Point.”. Money doesn’t win gunfights

  9. XunXhine Xuicide on May 25, 2022 at 7:02 pm

My dad bought one of these as a joke, added something, like graphite powder (it’s been years, I don’t remember) but he then hooked it up to like a reciprocating saw and allowed it to speed cycle the action over night.
In the morning that thing was buttery smooth!

Back when I worked at a gun shop/range. I would love to show up the gear snobs with a Hi Point pistol of varying calibers. Plus to demo the importance of training. Money can buy equipment but not skill.

”Shooting does not have to be a fashion show.”
But as Paul demonstrated, it’s even more fun when it is.

Ugly pistol lol my glock and fns40 are pretty boring and ugly as well. When people call hi points ugly its usually just them regurgitating an opinion learned from hearing other people that havent shot or owned one before. Pistol designs nowadays are pretty much the same with slight shape changes in slides. If I saw a high point 45 acp for example and never heard of them and was told it was a reliable $200 pistol id probably like it. Cant beat the price and reliability not to mention made in the usa and comes with a life time warranty. As someone who owns many expensive firearms I can tell you price doesnt mean you are getting a good gun.

  15. matthewXL on May 25, 2022 at 7:06 pm

Nobody wants to take a HP out of the house. No holster needed

  16. foxtrot889 on May 25, 2022 at 7:07 pm

People get ’em because they’re a cheap way to get a gun. But if you dig deeper, a lot of the flaws that are there may seem negligible, but they add up and some are downright kinda deal-breakers for me. This gun and it’s price tag got me into wanting to buy a concealed carry gun/a handgun in general. It’s profile alone, what with it being so stupidly blocky and wide, is reason enough to avoid it as an option for me in concealed carry. 3 malfunctions in relatively few rounds is also a red flag for a concealed carry, because those failures could cost you your life. I’m more familiar with the guitar market, but it sounds like the same holds true here. Yeah you can get something for peanuts and it’ll largely function, and maybe even be fun… But if you just save up a few extra bucks, in no time you’ll be able to spend $400-$800 and get something that’ll last a lifetime, or at least far outperform the cheapest option.

In all honesty, the gun seems like it’d be fun to have as a novelty on a range/to plink targets with. It’s not a bad thing to learn to use weird triggers/firearms, as you never know when versatility may benefit you. I just fail to see how making this a go-to is better than just saving up cash a bit longer to get something with less issues. But, again, just like in the guitar world, it’s also not worth bagging on somebody if it’s all they can get. A hi-point, after all, will always be better than unarmed in the case of home/self defense… Even if it malfunctions and becomes a glorified club. (and I have heard that they perform reasonably well after breaking in, but those are chances that are hard to accept when it could be life or death.)

I’ll take a hi point over a baseball bat any day

  19. Justin on May 25, 2022 at 7:12 pm

I’d like to see High Point make a better version, the best they can, of the same design.

  20. Bud White on May 25, 2022 at 7:12 pm

The magazine safety disconnect is easily removed from the right side grip.

  21. Ernie Walden on May 25, 2022 at 7:12 pm

Highpoints are made for 1 reason. To murder someone and to toss in the river lol

  22. Joseph Wintrich on May 25, 2022 at 7:15 pm

Those things were great when they were $79 to $99. Great Target pistol throw away guns. Now I’ve seen them for $265 to $300 😲 There have been and still are much better budget guns for $325 to $400. MUCH BETTER budget guns, much higher quality budget guns. High points are fine budget target pistols when the price is right/fair.

  23. faffaflunkie on May 25, 2022 at 7:15 pm

I think that the Hi-Point is a gun made for _Mexican carry._

  24. MrAM4D3U5 on May 25, 2022 at 7:18 pm

How broke are you that you need Patreon donations to be able to afford a Hi-Point

  25. Ronald Davis on May 25, 2022 at 7:19 pm

I want a high point Its a great budget price fire arm.keep up the good work.

Most of these Youtube gun "specialists" that criticize the HiPoint never been in the military, they’re all posers and wannabees

  31. chris simmonds on May 25, 2022 at 7:26 pm

Seems the high point 45 is the most reliable out the brand.

  32. Bill Whitmire on May 25, 2022 at 7:26 pm

    Comparing a $159.00 Hi-Point vs A Colt 1911

pimp daddy paul made my day lmao

  35. Wonder Nine on May 25, 2022 at 7:30 pm

High Point is better than nothing, and works for the most part, but it is funny how Garand Thumb and Demolition Ranch have shown the quality.

  36. J. Beau on May 25, 2022 at 7:31 pm

It’s a poor man’s gun and if that’s all one can afford as it seems to get the job done. I like my 1911s and would not get this pistol but that isn’t a disrespectful comment towards it.

  37. lost IT on May 25, 2022 at 7:33 pm

I would argue The hi-point pistol would make a good entry level pistol for those getting into shooting sports, but then move on to more reliable brand. I think you said it best in a previous video, if your equipment isn’t great, who cares, own it.

  39. PsychoC4rnivore on May 25, 2022 at 7:34 pm

Growing up, my parents didnt have alot of extra money. We got by just fine, but my Dad couldnt go out and drop over $500 on a gun just because he wanted to. The only guns he had was a single shot 12 gauge, a .30-30 bolt gun, a marlin .22 autoloader and a Hi-Point C9. He never cleaned the Hi-Point and as far as i can remember he never had anymore than 1 or 2 malfunctions in it in about 18 years. He still has the Hi-Point and now that him and my mom have a little more extra money he was able to get himself some nicer guns. He still shoots that Hi-Point from time to time with his buddies as a joke. Moral of the story is: if a Hi-Point is all you can reasonable afford, thats still better than nothing at all

  40. Doug V on May 25, 2022 at 7:34 pm

Ricochet Rabbit. Lmfao! Awesome. 20 thousand rounds thru a High Point? Living nightmare.

  41. Magnum Mike on May 25, 2022 at 7:37 pm

I own this same model of gun. I bought it mainly for just testing 45 ACP reloads. my carry guns are a Glock 22 a 19 X or a 686 Smith I have nerve damage and cannot carry appendix so I carry with a shoulder holster. my problem with this gun as it clearly states in the manual I have they do not recommend carrying with one in the chamber. I am a strictly condition one carrier.. interesting enough this gun fits in my shoulder holster.

  42. AMC2283 on May 25, 2022 at 7:37 pm

If I had to choose between a hi point and a used colt or s&w .38, I’d go with the revolver

  43. Brian Boyd on May 25, 2022 at 7:37 pm

Oh and the high point totally agree with everything you said

  44. mwall444 on May 25, 2022 at 7:38 pm
