With a 217-213 vote, the House narrowly passed a bill that would ban assault weapons for the first time since 2004, with two Republicans voting for the measure and five Democrats voting against it.

“Assault weapons” are responsible for 3% of firearm deaths per year.
The only people that support an “assault weapons ban” are the people that haven’t don’t their own research.
It is so counterproductive for Democrats to pass this bill that they know will not be signed into law. This only pressures the public into frantically purchase many more firearms.

NATIONAL GUARD BOYCOTT
If you support the 2A, and you are considering enlisting in the National Guard or reenlisting, we’re asking you to NOT do that IF your state maintains anti-2A laws that do not include exceptions for trained veterans such as yourself.
If you are under 21 and living in state that infringes your 2A right, then why should you allow that state to EXPLOIT YOU by shoving a firearm in your hand for their purposes, while they show NO RESPECT for you? Many of us veterans were good enough to fight wars, but not good enough to have 2A rights? It’s an insult to our honorable service and many years of training.
Thank you for serving but you can serve in other ways. Enlisting into active duty or Reserve duty is federal service. National Guard is STATE service. The National Guard is an “organized militia” as defined under 10 U.S. Code 246. DO NOT take an oath to obey the orders of a Governor that has NO RESPECT FOR YOU OR THE CONSTITUTION. Yes, the oath of enlistment for the National Guard swears allegiance to a governor!
This boycott is NOT an attack on anyone that has served or is serving in the National Guard. This boycott is LEGAL RESISTANCE towards state governments that do not support our rights or the Constitution by and large. This type of action is the only thing that state governments seem to understand. DO NOT LET THEM EXPLOIT YOU.
The states prohibit certain firearms for anyone under the age of 21. Why should you bear arms only for the state? California, Florida, Hawaii, Illinois, Vermont, Washington and New York

Give the people their Constitutionally protected right to buy weapons, with solid background checks, not stripping away their rights to purchase rifles. But this will not change anything in a country with more guns than people.

Civilians who have never served or are not currently employed in the armed forces – law enforcement capacities should be restricted from being able to purchase & own assault weapons.
Keep your bolt guns, hand guns and shot guns, but you all def have no need for semi or fully automatic platforms except to copy cat. 99% don’t even know how to maintain or employ those systems properly 😆
