Although the lead is starting to shrink a bit, the technique on Station 5 is the same as with Stations 3 and 4. Composed of two crossing single targets, the application of the lead indicators, the 18 foot hoop, and gun hold visual aids allow you to break these targets with relative ease.

Shooting right-handed, I’ve started missing High 5 recently and cannot seem to correct it. Trying to break it over the center stake or slightly before seemed to help, but still miss more than I hit. Wish I knew what has changed. to make this target so difficult to break.

You should use Skeet or Improved Cylinder Choke tubes for shooting skeet. Also, both targets are supposed to be thrown at the same time, when shooting a "true pair". For singles, you sheet each one at a time.

what choke tubes are you using? also when skeet shooting are each targets supposed to be thrown at different times? or do you throw both at the same time?

Not going to take advice from a guy who stops his gun.

Correct instruction for beginner but not where you want to break low 5 when you need to shoot a pair in shootoff or dubs.
