H&R Pardner Protector Detail Strip HD (Reassembly)
H&R Pardner Protector Detail Strip HD (Reassembly)
Showing you the tear down of the NEF shogun. Note: i do not take apart trigger group, no point in it really unless you’re unhappy with yours or you wanna fix it.
The stock part you called a gasket is the "stock bearing plate". I could not have gotten the slide back in without your video, THANK YOU! I do not own this weapon but a friend had acquired one and it wouldn’t fire and he asked me to check it out for him. At first I thought it must have a broken firing pin but the problem was the hammer was stuck in the cocked position and would not release when the trigger was pulled. I was able to get it released with a bit of prying and then I used sear stones to clean up the mill marks on the hammer where it mates up with the sear and the sides of the hammer as well until everything was smooth. The sear was hanging up on those mill marks as the action was cycled and not allowing the hammer to reset up high enough to engage the sear where it should, now it doesn’t and the hammer releases. Testing it out today at the range. Again Thanks for posting your video.
@Marcosb365 Well any accessory they make for the Remington 870 will fit the Pardner because it’s a clone of the 870 well besides barrels and mag tubes all other accessories fit. I always just use Remington 00 Buckshot. It’s cheap and effective.
@markquimby82 i would LOVE to! that is seriously the only gripe i have bout the weapon. This is a very simple rugged and reliable shotgun. I swear man i can put any ammo i want in this bad boy and it will eat it for breakfast. I LOVE this weapon. I would trust this over my Mossberg 500.
Great video… big help thanks a lot
Question.. My end cap doesn’t ratchet when I tighten it. Is that an issue?
Ok, I just bought this exact model about two weeks ago. I decided to take it down to clean everything before I take it out to shoot it and I followed your directions to do so. I took everything apart except the trigger group and the buttstock. I decided to wipe everything down with Rem Oil wipes (not sure I’ll use these again since they left wads of lint everywhere they touched) The problem I’m having is getting the action bars and bolt back into the receiver. When I get to the part where the bolt starts to slide into the reciever, it stops about 1/4 inch in and won’t go any further. I spent about an hour trying to get it to slide in with no luck. I can’t see anything that looks like it’s holding it up. So I need to push the cartridge latch up into the receiver as well as pressing the action release? It’s kind of hard to see exactly what you’re doing at that point. I’ll give it another go. Just seems like no matter what I do it won’t budge. After looking at some forums I found out the action bars are only soldered on and I don’t want to push on them too hard for fear they’ll break loose.
Ok, H&R haters, this is when you reply to tell me how much they suck and how I should have bought a shotgun that costs twice as much…and…go!
@Marcosb365 the yellow part is the magazine follower it helps just smoothly push the rounds into the feeder. also acts as a end cap for the spring.
Thanks to you, idiots like myself now know what to do with the pile of steel and polymer laying in front themselves. Seriously, thank you.
Help here, trigger assembly will not slide in that easy. Any thoughts on what’s a common mistake?
you must not have the spring retainer in right…
it should stick out a little . but not pop out . it should stay there by itself .
there is 2 sets of channels in the spring retainer .
one set slids passed the 2 dimples in the mag. tube .
the other set has a stop in the channels. so slid passed twist half a turn and it should come back out . but stop in the channel stop .
TEXICAN CHECKIN IN !!! I’ve had this shotgun over 10 years!!! Sleeps under my bed. Thanks to ya it’s the first full take down and reassembly! Munchas GRACIAS AMIGO !! Keep on making videos !!! WESLACO, TX !!!
@Marcosb365 You may have to order it if your local gun shop doesn’t have it. I’ve talked to alot of people on here that have never heard of it.
You saved my ass with this video. Thank you kindly!
Not helpful
Hey bud, excellent video…question on where you bought your paracord bracelet. Thanks
Thank you very very much! You solved 2 hours worth of head ache in minutes. I owe you big. Thanks again.
I hate how easy you make it look fighting to put mine back together
Thank you so much for this, the gott-damned shell latch was in the way when I tried to put the fore end in and it was driving me nuts until I saw this
.
Does the choke tube have to be installed on the breach end or the muzzle end of the barrel? Does it matter?
@adamador thanks brother. here very soon i’m getting it parkerized by my friend on here Mark Quimby. then i’m adding the tactical stock setup.
wth . my shell lach falls out without the trigger in
Thank you for this video. I took me a few seconds to disassemble it.
Thanks, putting the bolt carrier in was a pain in the ass but it’s all good now
@dxporker you’re welcome brother!!
My good sir thank you very much, I did not want to be the Newbie who had to take his gun to a Smith because I couldn’t get the slide in
When I was trying to put the forearm and the bolt back in, when I tried to place the shell latch back, the latch just popped out entirely. Any help?
@Marcosb365 You really ain’t gotta clean it that much at all. probably every 500 rounds. That’s what i do with em is every 500. But i make sure in between time to keep Eezox on my bolt and slide. All it is is an all in one gun care product. It lubes cleans and prevents rust.
Very, very helpful. Thanks so much for taking the time to do this!
Cheers!
Great video!!!!!!!!!!
