Hey sir . Have a question I have H&R top break .38 S&W. My question I see in other video that the Ejection Rod come down when you open the barrel away open. But on my gun it does not. Do you know what might wrong with its?
Okay, that is helpful….but I need to know how to remove the shell ejector once I get the cylinder out.
I’ve got an H&R "auto ejecting 38 s&w ctge." When I pull the trigger, the cylinder doesn’t (usually) advance. Sometimes it will but usually not. When I hold the hammer back it has a small wiggle but is locked. With the hammer down it freewheels. Any ideas? thanks
Never seen this before untill now ..thankz for sharing
Finding a parts diagram of these guns together with a readable parts list is all but impossible on the internet.
do you think you could send a picture of the trigger outside the gun? im trying to make the indexing spring
I was just to looking for this … very good video, I have a spanish 32 (not good quality, but without use) and have this problem… I will try to repair him with a wire LOL .. Greeting from Buenos Aires
Why don’t you show to the peoples who are watching your video where you get the parts from… I’m just curious.
I’ve been fiddling with an H&R Premier in .32 for a friend and finding all of the information about it has been a fun little adventure on the internet! The trigger return spring is broken in half which seems to be a real common issue.
I have this gun made 1889
Sears 1895 catalog……. $4.70
Great video. Question bro could you switch the H&r top break .38 S&W barrel and cylinder out for a H&R top break .32 S&W barrel and cylinder? If so would it work or would you have gut out all .38 S&W parts?
I have a gun like this it’s from h&r but it doesn’t says caliber it shoots
Excelentes videos la verdad eres grandioso, pero te lo agradecía Ramos si pusieras subtitulo en español de verdad sería increíble
Just thank you.. your talent is greatly appreciated…urra..
Yes on the hammer type not the hammer less. When the hammer is all the way down the cylinder free spins the cylinder stop domes not come into to picture until the hammer is in the cocked position it’s when is in the locked position
How much are these things worth?
dat audio doe
BUT Where do I get a "Cylinder catch"?
Greetings from Phoenix az…..did the Gen 1 and 2 have a cylinder brake….mine will turn right and not left and will brake as the trigger is pulled and pull into battery with a firm lock…..the trigger brake is firm and nothing seems tobe broken….l have a no transfer bar…old school trigger. What are your thoughts….no parts on hand….just started looking today 18 Mar 2021.
Great vid. Same issue but can’t locate that part
Where do you get parts for these?? I found one of these chambered in .22 in a box of free stuff on the side of the road today. It has an exposed hammer though. The trigger return spring is broken and I can make it sort of cycle but it’s really stiff and you have to reset the trigger manually. Then it feels like something slips off inside and then you can’t reset the trigger, you have to take it apart and put all the trigger linkage pieces back where they’re supposed to be.
Take the barrel off next time.
I have the same one but with a hammer. The cylinder will free spin one way but not the other and it seems to rotate and lock as it should when the trigger is pulled. Is it safe to shoot with the spring you replaced broken?
Hello I need this part can u help me find it please
Where can I get the cylinder stop you mention a part number but not where to buy it from?
Very interesting Gage. Looks like I need a new stop pin and a trigger return spring. Also something not right with the firing pin.
Great video bud. But I have a question I have one of these pistols but for some reason when I go to fire it sometimes the firing pin will hit the primer other times it won’t so it misfires .how can I adjust the firing pin so it comes out more and hit the primer every time. I use it as a pocket gun but I dont need a misfire if I ever need to use it .any ides please. They would be greatly appreciated thank you
Okay my friend that was a freaking great video super informative I’ve got a 32 that I’m cleaning up and I can’t get the Trigger 2 index forward now I know that the spring is probably bent down thank you for making this I have all the confidence in taking my depart now
Great little gun. I have my grandfather’s and I cherish it.
I was given one in a bag any way you can do a video on the internals
My grandfather had one of these when his house was cleared out. He was a railway policeman. Would this have been a police issue gun in the UK.
I’ve got a Smith&Wesson topbreak that I want to restore. Cylinder lockup is fine, index’s with little play. It looks like it’s missing a firing pin, or the hammer is not seated right. Any hope for me? Also where can you find ammo if you dont do your own reloading?
Se me puso seguro la piña no la puedo poner algui sabe como quitar el seguro x q no entra la piña
What about the opposite, my cylinder is tight asf won’t rotate at all
Wish I could find a set of grips for mine.
I just inherited a H&R Hammerless 38. The cylinder has quite a bit of forward and backwards movement (Slop). Also the firing pin does not stick out like the one in your video. Can you help?
Thanks so much. I’m thinking of buying one of the 32s. Timing seems to be one of the issues reported. I don’t know the right names, but any idea how to ensure the lever that spins the cylinder when one pulls the trigger or hammer back functions? Some are reported to function in double action only. Some are reported to function in single action only. I’m subscribed. Thanks again.
Where did you get the part from, or did you make it?
I have a H&R top break .38. Anyway I can switch the barrel and cylinder to a .32? Also if there any after market grips for the gun?
Great video I’m having the same problem we’re can I get that part please…
I have one of these and everything works correctly. The only thing is the cylinder on it seems sloppy. Is this normal for these guns? (Using the correct ammunition of course) do you think it is safe to shoot? I would really like to see it shoot again since my grandpa gave it to me.
Anyway to put a different gun grips?
I own the exact same model. It was in Grandpas sock drawer when he died. I need a cylinder stop too. I have been looking high and low and cannot find one. I seems as though you bought the very last one! Anybody know where I can get this part?
Thanks for this video. I have one of these I really want to fix up.
I need to see a firing diagram for the 32. Please.
I have a question, same S&W Safety Hammerless, 38, circa pre 1906.
The ‘squeeze safety’ seem to hang up. It still functions, by can you show me how to service correctly?
I have taken the grip off and oiled the springs. What else do you recommend?
