Installing Leapers UTG Pro model 4/15 Drop in Hand Guard

Installing Leapers UTG Pro model 4/15 Drop in Hand Guard

Step by step installation of the Drop in Hanguard by Leapers UTG. Took about 10 minutes in total to remove and install everything. This mounts perfectly to a M&P Sport II Upper with no modification.

How you like since the install?

Excellent Quad Rail. However, if you don’t have a front sight mounted where the gap in the top of
the Rail is, you will have a rather large gap just
ahead of your Gas Block. Mine came with a small
Gas Block with a very short Picatinny Rail on top
of it… If your Rifle does have the Iron Site Gas
Block, it will be a perfect fit…

I have an M&p 15 sport 2. If I fold the sling loop up, will the rail fit over it? To hide it basically. Don’t plan on using it.

  5. Buko on May 9, 2023 at 3:35 am

Can you install a vertical foregrip on that?

  6. Thomas Woods on May 9, 2023 at 3:36 am

I have a S&W M&P Sport 2 Optics Ready. Where the A2 sight is, there’s simply the gas block with a short rail section to mount an iron sight. Does the cutout fit over that short rail section?

  7. itchntohitch on May 9, 2023 at 3:38 am

A great handguard for CARBINES. For some mindboggling reason Leapers doesn’t make one for a mid length AR….(like mine).
    Can’t find a drop-in anywhere so I made the jump to a Coda Evolution ($$). Oh well….

  8. GodSpeed TheGreat on May 9, 2023 at 3:39 am

I just got a Vism version of this and it’s amazing. Would highly recommend these. Saved me a ton of time and money on extra parts and I did it all in ten minutes watching tv including removing the guard. Fits snug and smooth 🙌🏿

  9. Alexis Calderon on May 9, 2023 at 3:39 am

Is the color of the rail similar to the rest of the gun ?

  10. mollar toma on May 9, 2023 at 3:39 am

I just ordered this as well it hasn’t arrived yet and I honestly never knew about a weaver rail I’m kind of upset because from what I was told is that I can’t mount my extra picatinny rail sections I have at home I guess only the ones that Leapers make will fit on that handguard is that true? If so I’m gonna have to order a bunch of extra rails sections as well. I know it comes with 4 of em but they’re very small I prefer rails going down the whole handguard on all sides. Please let me know if that’s really true?

    no offense but ugly

  12. Brian Jones on May 9, 2023 at 3:45 am

I read a bunch of reviews calling this handguard junk, stripped screws, screws loosening after range trips etc. I really wanted to build with an A2 sight like that and thought this was a perfect solution. Tell me those reviewers are just mistaken and it is user error.

  13. Reinier Garcia on May 9, 2023 at 3:46 am

A lot better than the magpul trash one.

  14. Dave Scheer on May 9, 2023 at 3:46 am

Just wondering would this fit on a Chiappa M4 AR 22LR I would really like to change my fore grip and it looks like a great solution, how much do they cost ?

  15. Thom Kabelis on May 9, 2023 at 3:46 am

Wow, thanks for the video, very well done! I have been contemplating purchasing this drop in handguard for a few months now, just been looking for it to go on sale somewhere so if it didn’t work/fit, didn’t like it or it was just shoddy craftsmanship I wouldn’t be out a lot of money. After seeing your video, I have decided to get it and don’t mind paying full price for a good quality handguard. The only problem now is finding it in stock.
Thank you for your time, honesty and the video, definitely subscribed!
    Keep up the great work

  16. No_talkin91 on May 9, 2023 at 3:46 am

I have a mp ar 15 with a front sight Picatinny gas block, do you think it will fit through the cut out where the A2 gas block go?

  17. Jonathan G on May 9, 2023 at 3:47 am

Sure this is dead, but can you install this on 10159 model with out removing the gas block?

  18. Heidells Galvez on May 9, 2023 at 3:48 am

I think this is more tacticool than anything else. Its not free floating, its doesn’t have the versatility to mount accessories and its heavy and more expensive than other options that actually overcome all this cons. Just get a Magpul MOE SL

  19. Juiceman 23 on May 9, 2023 at 3:50 am

Nevermind just scrolled down and got my answer thanks

  20. Rick Battle on May 9, 2023 at 3:51 am

Is there a better place than Optics planet where the UTG Pro hand guards are available/in stock. Any recommendations?

  21. Steve Cascaden on May 9, 2023 at 3:53 am

Yes I’m very much thinking about getting this hand guard for my m&p15 sport 2. Thanks for the video.

  22. Jumma Khan on May 9, 2023 at 3:55 am

Anybody knows a compatible hand stop for this rail

  23. Niiswii Willard on May 9, 2023 at 3:57 am

Hey do you happen to have tried their Pro Lr308 ones? I havent seen a systen like theirs with two receiver lugs. Im torn between the wilson and theirs for my MK47 (theyre like the only two i could find with 7 sided mod slots that are about 15" without being too expensive but not a cheap piece of junk)

  24. Af Nuff on May 9, 2023 at 3:57 am

Will that Leapers handguard allow for mount of an angled foregrip or other accessories on the bottom? I am comparing it to the VISM AR15 M-LOK Carbine Handguard VMARMLCE at URL: https://www.opticsplanet.com/vism-ar15-m-lok-carbine-handguard.html?image=1d23d3f622. which is very similar. I saw a video Vism on that with an angled handguard. I like the slimmer look of the Leapers but on the other hand seems limited in that it would need some additional hardware to mount certain items on bottom or maybe won’t allow any add on’s to the bottom. Any thoughts or insight on that?

  25. glenCOCO on May 9, 2023 at 3:58 am

Hey, this is a long shot. But so you still have this handguard? If so, would you be down to sell it?

  26. rubin davis on May 9, 2023 at 3:59 am

Will it fit a AR Ruger 556

  27. LeekioFrm091 🖤 on May 9, 2023 at 4:01 am

Can you put any grips on the bottom?

  28. Tien Nguyen on May 9, 2023 at 4:01 am

I have the gas block where your sights are at. Would this fit for it?

  29. 5 star music world global unerground on May 9, 2023 at 4:04 am

hi ineed website an part no# can up up me think you

  30. Clayton Hall on May 9, 2023 at 4:04 am

Looks like a winner! How much was it?

  31. Max Attack on May 9, 2023 at 4:05 am

I had this drop in handguard installed, I ended up removing it and installing a fixed handguard (removing the delta ring). The handguard is nice, but drop in have a little wiggle in them. The wiggle drove me crazy, and will effect aiming.

  32. RevSteve K on May 9, 2023 at 4:08 am

I like it! The fact that it will replace the plastic and give you and easy fix that is a much better Hand Guard on my Sport 2.

  33. Don Rob on May 9, 2023 at 4:08 am

Will this fit on a optics ready version

  34. Justin Ulrich on May 9, 2023 at 4:09 am

This is exactly what I’ve been looking for.

  35. Sheeeit Mayn on May 9, 2023 at 4:10 am

Will this work with one of those gas blocks without the A-sight but rather a rail mount? I figure it will but the block is a chunky hex block but the rail on top has the same length as the base of A-Sight

  36. Nardy Mercado on May 9, 2023 at 4:11 am

Will this work in a Ruger AR?

  37. J W on May 9, 2023 at 4:12 am

Just installed it on my AR.
Changed from a carbine length quad rail, I too wanted more real estate on my, this rail is lighter and nearly twice as long as the quad. Didn’t see it in the video, but lock down the delta ring with the supplied set screws, this drop in is super secure.
Monstrum tactical makes some really comfortable mlok snap ins that fit great in the mlok openings and makes the handguard just that much more comfortable

  38. Nbarb5 on May 9, 2023 at 4:12 am

Can you mount picatinny rails to the bottom?

  39. dave g on May 9, 2023 at 4:13 am

Utg make inexpensive stuff and good quality

  40. Bill Peirce on May 9, 2023 at 4:16 am

No heat shield on that either.
    Don’t like it.
    Looks silly. 😂🤣😂👎👎👎👎

  41. ⚠️DANGER DOBERMAN⚠️ on May 9, 2023 at 4:18 am

UTG has come a long way. I like how this rail system just covers the entire barrel. And your description on why the link was removed is spot on.

  42. tro jansky on May 9, 2023 at 4:19 am

    Ugly

  43. zackery atwood on May 9, 2023 at 4:22 am

    Will it fit a m&p 10

  44. Juiceman 23 on May 9, 2023 at 4:22 am

Looks nice, my question is does this fit on an optics ready M&P sport 2

  45. Michael Munoz on May 9, 2023 at 4:23 am

What kind of mounting system do you use for this handguard? This doesn’t look like mlok

  46. Tra M on May 9, 2023 at 4:26 am

Do you know if this will fit on a Springfield saint that has a mid length gas system and I’m having a hard time finding one that’ll fit a mid length gas system

  47. Jerry McDaniel on May 9, 2023 at 4:26 am

Sure would be nice to get a shot of the bottom of this rail, thanks!

  48. folepi22 on May 9, 2023 at 4:30 am

I can’t seem to find the correct picatinny rails that will fit the bottom or sides. Any idea what they are?

  49. M B on May 9, 2023 at 4:31 am

Do they make this for the mid length
