This is a 357 Mag model purchased new in 2018. The rifle is unfired at the time of this recording. This issue occurred out of the box.

Well, did you take it apart and check the action for burrs? It looks like the carrier barely gets activated before lockup. I’d start by checking carrier, bolt, spring and the bolt lock.
My 1894c had burrs in the frame right where the magazine tube starts causing cartridge jams.
Polishing burrs is an easy fix and also do "the dreaded marlin jam"-fix on the lever before doing any more cycling, otherwise you will get a ditch in underside of carrier where the lever engages. Also an easy fix. Just google it and good luck!

Issue resolved. I sent the rifle back to Marlin and they fixed it. I couldn’t figure out what they did but it works fine now.

What’s the thing in the loop?

Locking block Hook distants on the lever , to the hook front face on the locking block a touch too tight, and not allowing them to release from each other as the lever is drawn downward. The fact that the lever/receiver is not downward to allow the locking block to drop down a touch more, to gain the needed distances of the two to clear as they release from each other, is causing a slight problem as well. If you take a look at the lever Hook, or the locking block bottom hook faces, should be able to see which surface they polished up to create the slightly larger needed gap of the two faces.

just send the rifle to the manufacturer and claim your money. This is the worst quality I’ve ever seen. I also bought this rifle and thought that everything can be fixed. It cannot be fixed because it is rubbish.

These guns can only be cycled when pointing forwards, normally. Gravity needs to be able to pull a locking block down, and it can’t do it when pointing up.
Either that, or get a refund. That’s what I did. Mine didn’t work either, but for different reasons.

Tagging this for later. Mine has the same issue. I sent it back and they got it working. Same as you, I am not sure what they did. All of a sudden it started doing it again. The rifle doesn’t even have a round through it yet because it keeps locking up. Now I am not sure if I will be able to send it back with the Remington bankruptcy and Ruger buying Marlin.
