Marlin Camp Carbine Model 9 Review and Shoot & Pro Mag magazine test.

Marlin Camp Carbine Model 9 Review and Shoot & Pro Mag magazine test.

Join me as I talk about and shoot an old beat up Marlin Camp. This will also be my first time shooting Herter’s brand 9mm ammunition, purchased recently as a 500 round bulk pack. The rifle came to me with a broken recoil buffer (a common issue with the original buffers) which I replaced along with the recoil spring. Let’s hope it actually shoots!
We also test a couple of Pro Mag magazines (20 and 32 Round) made for the Camp 9 and the Smith & Wesson model 59.

Herters ammo is made by winchester for Herters. Same for the Browning ammo too, it is also made by winchester. So if you have malfunctions, blame it on winchester, lol.

Been maybe more than ten years since I tried a 9mm. One of my cousins Glock. Did one mag and that was it. Almost got one while back, glad I didn’t. Don’t have to look for some like today. Mostly 22lr, hard enough to find some too. Been forever since I saw Mini Mags. Like to find get them Meateaters 300pk.

If you have never replaced the buffer pad you haven’t lived until you try to put that thing back together.

If steve had made those aftermarket mags they would’ve worked great!

So did ProMag make good on the two crappy magazines? Did you find a fix for them? Or was it money out the window?
