That’s a really nice landscape out there. What state is that?

  2. dentons backyard show on September 19, 2022 at 8:39 pm

The old 30-30 is a proven game taker for a great brush gun . I love that caliber and there is so many choices in bullets when it comes to reloading . 🇺🇸🏴‍☠️

Awesome stuff man! I found out that they have a 444 Marlin version too, who knows when it will be available through. I really want one. Marlin makes a great gun

Looks like your final set up for taking that 9 pointer turned out really nice. I know some Marlins I checked out had levers that were a little rough so having the paracord set up on the loop lever looks like a good deal. I would like put some of those XS sights or skinner sights on my Henry .45-70. Nice you did the chronograph….Thanks Mr. Pat.

I had a Marlin 30-30 and I loved it. I will definetly be getting on of the Dark series. But yuo didn’t tell us what kind of suppressor you used and what it cost.

  6. Hazcat on September 19, 2022 at 8:44 pm

PAT, Before you do anything like replacing springs or the whole assembly try just cleaning up the trigger. Deburring, smoothing, stoning and let us know if and how much that helped.

  7. AlphaRomeo-OneFive on September 19, 2022 at 8:44 pm

Not all dinosaurs are extinct, Pelosi, Biden, Schumer etc are all still out there unfortunately! Great video Pat!

  8. Raptor 700 on September 19, 2022 at 8:44 pm

Sounds like a 22 is louder than your suppressed rifle.. can’t wait for more videos 👍

    Henry VS Marlin

  10. Mike Treen on September 19, 2022 at 8:45 pm

Lots of people don’t realize just how hard a 30-30 hits. Taken quite a few whitetail with one and they sure don’t go far.👍🏻👍🏻

  11. jpmriccardi on September 19, 2022 at 8:46 pm

Most I know of that have gone that way… their triggers are running 4-5 lbs.
Maybe there’s something wrong with yours??

    Really cool little rifle.

  16. mountainhobo on September 19, 2022 at 8:54 pm

With a normal sized loop (instead of the "Hollywood loop"), you would have less nerve impact because you would be pushing it instead of hitting it. Alas, it seems they don’t make the dark series with the regular loop. It also seems the dark series is the only one threaded for suppressor.

  17. R4-Mississippi Thunder on September 19, 2022 at 8:55 pm

That’s a nice setup. Enjoyed the video as usual Pat. 👍👍

  18. Patrick Buchanan on September 19, 2022 at 8:56 pm

Wrap your lever handle in leather or rawhide and you’ll never want the paracord again!!!

  19. Jason Valentin on September 19, 2022 at 8:56 pm

Hey man can you do a cleaning how to video for the Henry x? It’d be much appreciated man.

  20. Eagle Eye Shooting on September 19, 2022 at 8:57 pm

  21. Nothing Fancy Just Us on September 19, 2022 at 8:57 pm

Or should I say "riff"le. Because that was the sound it made when it fired.

  22. Ben Boggess on September 19, 2022 at 8:58 pm

  26. Scott F. on September 19, 2022 at 9:05 pm

I really like that set up for a lever gun and if you told me about it I would have probably laughed about the paracord wrap and such but I am digging the heck out of it….Love me the lever guns…..Good stuff…..

  27. Jonathan Carpenter on September 19, 2022 at 9:05 pm

Great videos on the Marlin 336 Dark! Have you noticed any issues with rust on the 336 dark? I would really appreciate your feedback!

  28. Gunsmack Amigos on September 19, 2022 at 9:05 pm

Hey man! That’s a cool rifle!!! Love the 30-30 and what a way to rock it! Good stuff!

  29. Alaskan Ballistics on September 19, 2022 at 9:10 pm

YouTube’s demonitization is crazy. But it’s the suppressor that doesn’t make the community standards

  30. Michael Tewell on September 19, 2022 at 9:10 pm

Man I love that rifle! And I just saw your update video and I’m thinking about putting together the same exact build that thing is awesome… I actually like the paracord it could come in handy so why not have it as a sling

  31. Derek Franklin on September 19, 2022 at 9:10 pm

  44. jupiter king on September 19, 2022 at 9:28 pm

    So need to get one

  45. too tall on September 19, 2022 at 9:30 pm

wow I got the notice. 7 lb, well that seems heavy but a little use or maybe some polishing internally could take that right down. I’ve had guns that when new had a harsh trigger pull but a few hundred rounds later they were sweet. Not in love with cans for the aesthetics of it, but they do all right as a practical thing. Just never liked their look and trying to sight over them. They’ll never be able to truly silence a firearm until they can prime them some other way. evidence obtained during my misspent youth tells me the primer going off is the loud part, even when there is no bullet breaking the sound barrier they’re loud. Nothing you put on the barrel will make any firearm totally silent until the primer boom is dealt with. As is tho, this sounds much like a 22 or a cap gun, not totally silent but not obnoxious either. I can stand a little obnoxious tho, I used to like turbo mufflers on my rides, quiet until you get on it then loud and rowdy. Now my Ford is quiet, but my Chevy is loud and rowdy…. I drive the ford mostly right now it has working air, the chevy doesn’t.

  46. Glockerstein on September 19, 2022 at 9:30 pm

Thanks so much for the review. Saw this rifle in Canada. Where do you live? Love shooting outdoors.

  47. William Johnson on September 19, 2022 at 9:31 pm

Hope your trigger was better than my 336C was. Replaced mine with a Ranger Point Precision trigger. While I was at it I added a RPP loading gate and follower. I also added a large loop lever, as mine didn’t come with one, and a Wolff hammer spring. Gun is super sweet now!!!

  48. Joe Biker on September 19, 2022 at 9:32 pm

I like it, like tha cord ,might copy in elkhide or moosehide.

  49. Jake Pledger on September 19, 2022 at 9:36 pm

Really want to get something like this in 357/38spl think it will be great with a can!

  50. mrsmel269 on September 19, 2022 at 9:37 pm
