Ugly? Have this little shotgun and LOVE it! Just took my first firearms harvest with it-nice 8 pt! Performs beautifully! I guess beauty is in the eye of the beholder!

I just got one of these. Same model 20 ga. Just one question about the choke. Is yours an interchangeable choke or an adjustable choke. Mine might be adjustable. Gonna use it for a turkey gun this fall, since spring turkey I didn’t prepare for. Just some advice on the choke would be helpful.

Ugly? I have the same model in 16 guage. One of the nicest looking, nicest shooting guns I own. Don’t know about the kick you said it has. Maybe after cleaning it up it went away. My 16 has very very little kick. These are awesome guns that I still use today. I got a line on one of these in 12 guage. Probably going to buy it then look for a 20 guage also to have a trifecta of these awesome and beautiful guns.

That is not an adjustable choke. Screw on. Threaded barrel. The guns came with three Mod, IC and Full.

I have never understood where most shotgun critics are coming from. They seem to think a shotgun’s quality depends on it’s looks. They won’t call a shotgun acceptable unless it has engraving and fancy checkering. To me those are the LEAST important features of a shooter. They call bolt actions shotguns ugly sticks, but have orgasms over bolt action rifles. Seems some folks think STYLE and in-group cliquishness is more important than shooting.

It (model D) was only made from 1947 to 1950 where do you get those extra 9 years. The 4.10 was classified as a completely different model. Do some research man!
