Nice gun. Caveman simple. Does have it’s drawbacks (recoil, limited number of rounds), but in terms of reliability and stopping power, its the best home defense weapon ever devised.

Where in the hell do you get eight gauge from. The eight gauge dates back to the 19th century, it was a black powder gun, it did not used cartridges, and it has not been made in the US. 😂

Why can’t you utilize the weapon’s full ammo capacity? I’m in Cleveland, Ohio and I have the same shotgun 7+1 with hogue tamer furniture

An empty gun is still a weapon. Thats where the term “pistol whipped” came from.

to the magazine block, I believe waterfowl hunting blocks to 2+1. If your not hunting, remove the block and enjoy the extra capacity for plinking or home defense.

For the utuber…. incorrect info on the capacity of tube rounds…. it actually fits 7 under 1 in chamber…

  18. m2gja m1 on November 19, 2022 at 10:18 pm

Found this one as wel. Can’t go wrong with the Mossberg 500. As you said at the end. The tube holds 8 and one in the chamber. The 500a was the first gun I ever purchased. Back then they didn’t have hi capacity tube magazines it was 5 in the tube 1 in the chamber.. I picked up a shotgun similar to yours. A few years ago. I purchased a 28" barrel and a plain stock for the older gun. So if my autoloader gives me a problem. I can still shoot skeet and sporting clays. If you never tried it’s a lot of fun. That’s the perfect shotgun for it.

how many guns do you have in total? by the way that’s a nice shot gun

  22. Get-The-Lead-Out.45 on November 19, 2022 at 10:31 pm

Most here in our area do what we want regardless of what law says concerning how many rounds we can and can’t have in our guns. The more and more you let government control you, the more and more they will take it further and just the last couple decades have proven it for a fact!

Thank you for reminding me how to change barrels. It’s been 15 or more years since I changed it and I’m guessing that I may have tightened it too much. I didn’t have a manual with mine as I bought it from a customer who is probably not around anymore. I didn’t want to force that unless I knew and I never remember to ask anytime I go into a gun dealer.
