Mossberg's First Magazine Feed Shotgun

Long before the 590M, the Mossberg 200 K was the king of the magazine feed pump shotguns!

  10. Mike Street on May 6, 2023 at 4:07 am

I have one of these recently given to me. What are they worth?

  11. Junk Honda’s on May 6, 2023 at 4:07 am

My family has one of these guns but it has none of the wood stock

  12. Chris B on May 6, 2023 at 4:08 am

  13. Marc Pascual on May 6, 2023 at 4:10 am

My girlfriend want me to grow my beard out. So when I hit 60 and it becomes gray/white I can be Santa at the mall. My response was "or I can be like Bigdaddy hoffman at the range!"

  14. Charles Sharp on May 6, 2023 at 4:10 am

I acquired one of these a little over a year ago. A buddy of mine was hard up for cash and I recognized it as one from his Dad’s old collection. Came with 2 clips, one new and one looks to be original. And a handful of shells to boot. Still in good shape considering I know the history of the abuse it has taken. Sure would be nice to find a larger clip for it.

  15. Motherof Angels on May 6, 2023 at 4:11 am

😯 I did not know magazine fed shotguns went back that far. Beautiful piece

  16. Sonny Gunz on May 6, 2023 at 4:14 am

That’s really cool. I’ve never even heard of that model. Thanks for showing it!

  17. Ivan Vallejo on May 6, 2023 at 4:15 am

    Do a disassemble vid

  18. steve linbergbaby on May 6, 2023 at 4:18 am

The brake on that baby is sweet – good action for vintage😎

  19. Keith Walker on May 6, 2023 at 4:20 am

Great video guys. I have that exact same gun. Mossberg model 200k. It was the first pump shotgun that Mossberg made. My dad bought it new in 1957. He gave it to me in 1977 and I’ve had it ever since. 63 year old shotgun and i still take it out Turkey hunting at least once every season. Kinda my way to have my pops in the woods again.

  20. Art Coates on May 6, 2023 at 4:20 am

The Mossberg 183 .410 and 185 20ga were released in 1947 and had 2 shell, fixed top loading magazines.

  21. Tyler Hott on May 6, 2023 at 4:22 am

I just inherited a 200K-A from my father and this is the only video I could find about this unique shotgun. I’m glad you mentioned the production years. It is a fun gun to shoot.

  22. Alan Spring on May 6, 2023 at 4:23 am

Hey Big Daddy have someone build you a 50 round drum magazine for that thing

  23. TheSchoen01 on May 6, 2023 at 4:28 am

If you wanted to be really tactical you could load 3 by sliding one in the pipe and manipulating the magazine by hold the rounds down like the old Winchester model 70s. full mag plus one quick top reload!

  24. Bourbon Drinker on May 6, 2023 at 4:29 am

I wish i could use mine it cycles smooth untill you fire it then it jams, the locking lug seems to press against the bolt when fired causing a lip to form at the top of the bolt making it jam shut. It was $30 without the mag 42$ for the mag.

  25. Nate Lulek on May 6, 2023 at 4:31 am

That was the first shotgun I ever shot. It was my grandfather’s do-it-all shotgun. He dropped many deer in Ohio, Pennsylvania, and West Virginia with that gun. His had a steel butt plate that he took off to notch with every kill.

  26. Armageddon2077 on May 6, 2023 at 4:33 am

How much does one of these go for?

  27. Kratos_God_of_50_BMG on May 6, 2023 at 4:36 am

-whistle- that there’s a rare find indeed. Thanks for sharing Big Daddy & Jason!

  28. krustymudracer on May 6, 2023 at 4:37 am

I have one of these. I love it. I don’t shoot it very often because of sparsely found plastic parts. It’s going to stay in the collection for a long time.

  29. Rambling Cowboy on May 6, 2023 at 4:38 am

I can’t believe it. Somebody else has one of these shotguns. When I try to describe it to people they don’t know what I am talking about. I have looked for it on YouTube before, but you are the first I’ve seen.

  30. swampratt36 on May 6, 2023 at 4:39 am

I have a Mossberg bolt action ,magazine fed from early 60’s , got it from sears n Roebucks from Santa lol . Thanks Big Daddy 👍

  31. Anthony Moore on May 6, 2023 at 4:41 am

    How much is it worth

  32. gumbo123 on May 6, 2023 at 4:41 am

Nice gun, but definitely not the first Mossberg produced with a 2 load magazine clip (+1 in the barrel for 3 shots) as your title implies. The model 190 was manufactured from 1949-1955. I have the 16 gauge with C-Lect-Choke and love it as a very lightweight rabbit gun.

  33. Thomas Osteen on May 6, 2023 at 4:42 am

Thanks for sharing that cool shotgun and be careful when jams because I had a shell go off just missing my face. Thanks

  34. Bill Quast on May 6, 2023 at 4:45 am

Tell me about the adjustable choke.

  35. Stephen Maddaloni on May 6, 2023 at 4:46 am

    I thought 200K was 200,000 thousand dollars

  36. AD Ray on May 6, 2023 at 4:47 am

I have something similar but it’s a bolt action.
    It’s a Mossberg Model 395KB in 12 gauge

  37. ernest berk on May 6, 2023 at 4:48 am

Strange gun. Thanks a lot for showing!

  38. C Kim on May 6, 2023 at 4:48 am

That Trigger group looks like the same one they used on a Mossberg Model 44 .22 cal military training rifle! The safety is the same too! It might slam fire you can get it to function smoothly.

  39. GARY on May 6, 2023 at 4:50 am

    Sweet that ones custom

  40. Mike Powers on May 6, 2023 at 4:52 am

I have one of these in my safe. Ex father in law gave it to me as an engagement present. Could never get the mag to feed a shell

  41. Matthew cholette on May 6, 2023 at 4:55 am

    I have one

  42. 4 gauge on May 6, 2023 at 4:56 am

B.D.,that looks like they took a Mossberg 395K or 385K and took the bolt off of it,then put a pump slide on it.
This is a very unique gun without a doubt, you can still buy paper shotshells by the way,Federal still loads paper rounds that are currently available🔫

  43. Nick J on May 6, 2023 at 4:57 am

Good gun for the collection 👌👌
