Good video review, one thing about bolt gun reviews i really want to see while shooting the gun but for some reason people never want to show, is the bolt throw of the the spent shell, i relize u want to save it or dont want to go look for it after, but during a review let the shell fly when u rack the bolt! People watching want to no that it has a good throw and not just kinda fall out like the savage hog hunter!!

    Speak up sonny.

  5. An American Patriot on May 1, 2023 at 3:58 am

Why the big push on short barrels? A 22 inch barrel J Wiz all that does is limit the potential of any cartridge .
A 22-inch Barrel would be good for a hundred yards or less .
Possibly good for youth on their first rifle when they’re not going to shoot at anything over a hundred yards

  6. Uncle Terry on May 1, 2023 at 3:58 am

I can’t find one right now and my local sportsman’s warehouse does not know when they will be back in stock. I’ll be 58 this year and I would like to learn how to hunt deer . This rifle seems like the best quality for the money.

  7. BE222 on May 1, 2023 at 3:59 am

Great video. I’m going to try to find one of these Patriots.

  16. interman 77 on May 1, 2023 at 4:14 am

I have been hearing negative reports about this rifle ,accuracy wise.

  17. Mike Gaudet on May 1, 2023 at 4:15 am

Just picked up the same rifle in 30-06 can’t wait to try it out

  20. CBSBASS on May 1, 2023 at 4:18 am

Have and early 4×4 in .270 with 24 in. barrel. Needs a good wood stock, but the Boyds stock as I want it: 50% figure walnut, pillar, Fleur d’ lis checkering, grip cap, ebony fore-end tip, recoil pad, will cost easily $100 more than the rifle did. 🙂

  21. Rich Weatherly on May 1, 2023 at 4:19 am

Thank you. I purchased a Mossberg Patriot in 270 in 2020 and I’m very pleased. It handles well and is very accurate.

  22. Christos V. on May 1, 2023 at 4:19 am

    It’s a very Riffle .
I own it and I am loving it .

  23. Bob kat on May 1, 2023 at 4:20 am

    Ron what caliber was that? 30-06, 280, 270 ??

  24. Allen Helton on May 1, 2023 at 4:20 am

25.06 in anything less than a 26in barrel is useless compared to other calibers

  25. Bill Peirce on May 1, 2023 at 4:21 am

What chamber did u get it in???

  26. Annie Staab on May 1, 2023 at 4:21 am

Don’t what mossberg you have but the one have have can’t shoot at all
Great looking rifle just can’t shoot

  27. iron maiden on May 1, 2023 at 4:24 am

My groupings were disappointing as I bought a .308 Patriot…I shot different ammo american whitetail, winchester, federal couldn’t get a decent grouping more than 2 inches

  28. MåcGyver on May 1, 2023 at 4:26 am

With the rifles out today 1 MOA, depending on the caliber that rifle is, isn’t very impressive for a $500 dollar rifle. Ruger Predators are typically 1/2 MOA or better with factory ammo!

  29. jizzmonkey on May 1, 2023 at 4:27 am

Shoots great, unless you get a bad one which are worse than bad.

  30. Damon Diehl on May 1, 2023 at 4:28 am

Mossberg’s New Patriot Bolt Action Rifle Shoots MOA
Maybe yours does, but a bunch of other ones don’t.
The magazines and how nicely they load is sweet, I’ll grant you that.

My 13 year old son shot his first deer last year with his Patriot in 30-06 its a great gun.

  32. C. Welch on May 1, 2023 at 4:31 am

This rifle is getting reports of having accuracy issues. BackfireTV for one and those guys know what they’re doing. They are not the only ones either. I looked at one and the fit and finish looked nice, but after a little research shied away and spent a bit more on a Tikka. It might depend on the one you get but the pattern was disturbing. I wanted to like it. I own a couple of 500’s that are outstanding.

  33. Wise Guys Outdoors on May 1, 2023 at 4:31 am

I just got a steal. Found a new, cerakoted stainless steel barrel in 375 Ruger for $380!!!

  34. Aaron on May 1, 2023 at 4:32 am

Its the rifle that wishes it was a Savage 111 lightweight hunter.

  35. Slappin Liberals on May 1, 2023 at 4:32 am

the rifle is awesome! i have had so much fun with mine in 30–06.
the only disappointment was that i was promised a Vortex sight on my rifle as a combo sighted in and ready to go straight from the manufacturer and NOPE i did not get a vortex scope on it.

  36. James P Mullin on May 1, 2023 at 4:34 am

    What’s the scope?

  37. Tony Epley on May 1, 2023 at 4:36 am

Hey guys I have one of these in 7mm mag with no issues what so ever but I would like to find out what the problem is with others I’ve put around 200 shots through it and it’s great hoping it will stay that way

  38. Josh on May 1, 2023 at 4:37 am

So many ppl hate on this rifle Mine is great.

  39. apfelsnutz on May 1, 2023 at 4:39 am

  40. Zachary Stine on May 1, 2023 at 4:41 am

mossberg patriot i had shot 4 moa at best no matter who shot it, garbage rifle.

  41. Thomas Harp on May 1, 2023 at 4:42 am

Someone explain to me how a rifle can shoot two shots touching then the next left an inch or so like that? If it put 2 touching I’d think it’d do that every time if you aimed same spot?

  42. rainy78 on May 1, 2023 at 4:46 am

I just ordered the exact same rifle in 7mm magnum! Cant wait to get it! 😀 A beauty!

  43. Danny Neelz on May 1, 2023 at 4:46 am

Why the hell is he holding it by the scope

  44. Matty Allen on May 1, 2023 at 4:47 am

Ive come to the conclusion that the QC has dropped over the years, certain reviewers have been handed cherry picked rifles or paid off to give biased reviews

  45. ThePhool1 on May 1, 2023 at 4:48 am

Don’t own a Patriot but have the older 4X4 with the synthetic kind of skeletonized stock in 7 Mag. Absolutely love that rifle. Handloading Hornady 162gr in it and I have sub 1" groups all day. Have taken several deer and a couple elk with it. Mossberg is a great rifle.

  46. Robert Kelly on May 1, 2023 at 4:48 am

Good video. No nonsense. Are there any negatives though?

  47. B Laws on May 1, 2023 at 4:49 am

    I now have 4 of them. 243, 270, 30-06, and 350L
I couldn’t say any more good things about these rifles even if old OF wrote me a check himself. They’ve really captured the affordable serious hunting rifle with this platform
    Nice job mossberg !!!

  48. DUDEWithDODGES on May 1, 2023 at 4:50 am

I’ve heard more bad then good about this rifle

  49. Samer Korim on May 1, 2023 at 4:50 am

I own one and I love it

  50. Nathan Murtoff on May 1, 2023 at 4:50 am

Do they make these in a left hand bolt?
