11:09 Anyone know that track title? Been trying to find that out for a while.
I would love to see a pocket for a knee pad like UF Pro. Not so much an outside design but a pocket on the inside with the same size so that it covers you’re knee when you bend on it
I have 3 pairs of the Defender Flex pants, things are damn amazing. Definitely gonna snag a pair or 2 of the shorts if they offer them in more than just the khaki they have right now.
I’m a Qc leading in 5.11 in eusebio sporting bd Ltd.
THAT VOICE ESSHH
Try redesigning the waistband to keep them from sagging and digging into your skin as a result of gear in the pockets…maybe try to incorporate the technology from the hip plates for duty belts y’all have to distribute the weight more evenly? A lining to assist in keeping your shirt tucked would also be a good addition.
Short list of ideas:
(Disclaimer, some of these are over imaginative, pick the best ones)
Built in climbing harness (incase of emergency)
Reinforced belt loops for carabiner attachments
Magnetic lock pocket covers
Interior ankle pockets could be used for 1st aid, ect
Reinforce chin guard slot
Exterior ankle pocket for a backup arm
4 cargo pockets made from flexible materials (so they will stretch out when filled, but be retained and out of the way when not in use)
Quick deployment pockets for tactical pens and pepper sprays
A key ring that can be placed on any of the belt loops that has a quick release for ease of use, but retained enough to prevent theft
Big thing. Dividers in the main pocket that separate your clip on tools like knives and Flashlights from the rest of the content. I don’t put anything in my right pocket other then my cell phone for fear I will scratch it, so having that extra piece of stretchable fabric to retain the knives would go along way
More hidden pockets just incase.
These features would probably fit best on your strike pants.
Bring back the Ridgeline design in different fabrics. Those were absolutely "covert" and the pocket design was next gen.
First time seeing these was on this review. That said, I was at Bass Pro and bought my first ABR Pro. In Kangaroo with a Kangaroo 5.11 belt and a black belt. I then bought a Khaki and Black ABR Pro set of pants and black ABR shorts. A black pair of defender and Apix. I also got 4 white holster tshirts I bought online for a great sale price of $29 and are absolutely the best holster tshirts you can own. I also bought a 5.11 cool looking tshirt that match my ABR pro shorts. Today was my coolest purchase of 5.11 XPRT Tactical in Black. Absolutely a steal and my own father’s day gift to myself which came in today. Almost $200 off of retail price. I can see why they are the price by the quality and how useful these are. So here is a plug to your YouTube channel showing 5.11 just one of your viewers bought 6 pairs of pants, 1 pair of shorts, 4 holster shirts, and 1 tshirt. I guess boots in the fall will be next
Do all pants come with a meat stick?
I would add 2 front upper thigh pocket and a more flexible gusset
How about crotchless or something sparkly and maybe a big Jewel
easy win for you, make the rear hip pocketson the defender flex series an inch deeper to hold large cell phones
Agreed, cargo pockets at all are not covert, one of the first elements one looks for when trying to spot a tactical person is the damn cargo pockets. Im looking for a business pant, chino or slacks
I want shorts that are long enough to protect my knees when I shoot from a kneeling position.
Jame’s 5" shorts.
I love the Defender jeans and wear them daily. However, I think 2 key updates could be made. First, move the two belt loops on either side of the fly a little further out. This would make putting on an appendix holster much easier, especially a sidecar design with a spare magazine. Also, I would love to see a secondary pocket inside the left hip pocket for a spare magazine that would allow a mag to be carried without the addition of a neomag or similar device. This pocket could be offered in a left and right handed configuration. Love your gear!
I want a front ‘mag pocket’ to be just a little bit bigger so i can fit todays bigger phones it it. (iPhone Pro max WITH a normal case) and deeper back pockets like the original tac pro pant.
A ankle holster support strap would be nice. So the damn thing doesn’t always end up sliding down and resting on top my shoe. It’s uncomfortable and makes it look like I’m wearing a tracking bracelet.
I was at Bass pro and bought my first set of AFB PRO light pants and love them . Had to Google them and seen this.
Dress pants for troopers
I would love to see your striker pants in camo black camo color options
For crying out loud, please make the jeans with a boot cut option! Lots of freedom loving Americans wear cowboy boots and nobody make tactical jeans that fit over them!
apex pants fabric not durable
Rock climbing style. Standard 5 pocket arrangement. Straight/slim cut with some stretch in material.
5.11 pants for fat guys! Lol. But yeah seriously mid 40s waist plus.
Straight leg 5.11 apex pants…
She says Umm more than the guy selling me the ridge pants at the store
I’m gonna get some defender flex shorts, hem them, and send them to James.
How did I miss this video? I’m two months late on ordering shit
Stretch waterproof
I would love the added feature of a lower price tag lol! I love my 5.11 pants and I can’t think of anything to make them better except maybe more mag pockets.
I am a huge fan of the Apex pants. They have become my business casual pants for work that I don’t have to worry about messing up (and still look good with a polo for meetings). I now have 8 pairs of them… Even got the wife hooked. The ONLY complaint I have about any of my 5.11 pants (Stryke, Apex, etc) is the belt loops do not accommodate belts with COBRA style (or other thick buckles). My favorite EDC belt for carry is the Tru-Spec Xtreme & it takes a few minutes to get the belt in/out of the pants (others I have to remove a buckle end to do that). A little extra give in the loops would be amazing
Built-in pistol magazine pockets on tactical pants.
That was a pleasure watching you guys ,and thanks 5.11 for super light weight summer pants, can’t wait to get one
I will be waiting for those Reeves shorts
wow….no idea what features to add…
-hidden pockets: check.
-reinforcend seams: check
-plenty of storage for edc stuff:check
-stretchy and durable materials:check
-maybe offer some more color options? keep up the good work!
This chump getting played by a basic woman 😂
True story, my wife used to buy me designer pants for $300, $200, $500 for god sakes… a month or two would go by, and I’d get a crotch hole.. I guess it’s just my body type, legs too big, do a lot of walking.. what ever, but I’ll be damned if I didn’t buy a pair of 5.11 rip-stop tacpants for $25 off of the NRA website about 15 years ago, which came with knee pads inserted by the way… lasted for 10 years without getting a hole in the crotch. I still have them, and that was 15 years ago… they have a massive hole in the crotch now.. but 10 years without a hole, for $25, holy crap. I’m sold.
Wonder if 5.11 will ever have 34×36 defender flex again 🤔
Two things I would like to see from 5.11: Bring back the Kodiak pant, or a variant made from that same heavy Carhart type material (an insulated version would be sweet). The other thing that would be great is lower the knee pad pockets in the TDU pants. The pads should be UNDER your knees when you kneel, not above them!
Why is none of this range available in australia 🙁
Reinforced crotch
This may sound crazy, but hear me out:
Tactical Linen pants. Sure, you’re laughing, but think about it.
All the breathability/comfort of Linen for hot/humid climates, but blended with a (5.11 proprietary?) hard-wearing fabric for maintenance/longevity. Take my money already.
I have one pair of Stryke pants and the one thing I do not like is size of the pockets because when I put my phone in the pockets it sticks out too much and the cargo pockets it’s too difficult to open and put stuff in it the size of the pockets need to be closer to what there is on the Apex
I would love the Stryke pants with the same side pockets of the Apex. I like the Apex but I feel the Stryke is more durable (different material), and seats better on the waist (the Apex seat low on the waist, which I really haven’t become accustomed to).
Great video!
So I had the defender series jeans and I bought HeliconTex jeans. They are similar, but the Heliconntex had a knife pocket on the front below the average front pocket. Sadly helicon isn’t doing the Jean version anymore. I like having my knife forward and not mixing with my change or keys while hanging in the pocket
I love the Defender Flex Straight Leg, but a deep coin pocket on both sides would be a pretty cool feature. Please bring back the strain cut fit.
Mag pockets for ar10 and ar15, pistol as well
