Any idea of what holsters or grips might fit? I have one on the way and I even called Rossi and they couldn’t tell me. I know you had said that Rossi stated it has a similar frame to other revolvers

  2. frank browning on March 13, 2023 at 2:47 am

It looks like a "K"/"L" frame size. I really hope they make a version with adjustable sites. If so I’ll buy one and do a trigger job on it.

Dan,what is better, THE ROSSI REVOLER RP63,OR A TAURUS COMPARABLE?THANKS

  4. TheFireArmGuy on March 13, 2023 at 2:48 am

The first set of .357 Magnum shots were light hand loads that were given to me by my friend Treesablowin

  5. Jon on March 13, 2023 at 2:48 am

If it only had nice rear sights instead of a notch

  6. Peter Quil on March 13, 2023 at 2:50 am

    Nice gun 👍🏻

  7. Rider's-Range on March 13, 2023 at 2:51 am

certainly much more affordable than the Smith it copied. But a 6 pound single action trigger??

  8. Martin Colvill on March 13, 2023 at 2:55 am

Really excited to see this range review, Dan.
I have to take exception to wood grips though.
They look great but don’t hold up during a ground and pound. I broke 2 sets of wooden grips while in uniform on my 686. Really upset me. Got rubber and didn’t have that problem.
    That’s me though.

    Waiting for the 4inch

  10. Dirty Wesley on March 13, 2023 at 3:00 am

    Want it!

  11. Guero M on March 13, 2023 at 3:02 am

I want a 357 but i want an 8 shot. Until they make an affordable one ill hold off

  12. William Eberhart on March 13, 2023 at 3:04 am

Nice to see a new "old school" revolver.

  13. Chris James on March 13, 2023 at 3:04 am

Dang it. I saved up some money to get this and now there isn’t one available! I hope they’ll send some more soon.

  14. Blovi8 on March 13, 2023 at 3:05 am

I get the idea of carrying a revolver but because semi-autos ‘jam’ isn’t a viable reason. I had a revolver, a Taurus model 82, that locked up regularly. I have a Glock 48, 26, 17, 42 that have had zero malfunctions in thousands of rounds shot. Plus carry with firing pin on live round? No thanks.

  15. WFTXidiot on March 13, 2023 at 3:05 am

I’m having trouble finding a paddle holster for a Diamondback .380 with a laser. Any suggestions??😁

  16. V Vogt on March 13, 2023 at 3:06 am

Super Sharp, Good looking Revolver. I Like it, A Lot. On my list. Thanks Brother, Fantastic Review!

  17. nonya biz on March 13, 2023 at 3:06 am

The benefit of having that firing pin on the hammer is more reliable ignition of the primers. Its one of the reason some of these new revolvers with internal firing pins have weak primer hits. The down side is that they can break but I never ever had one break before. You would have to shoot tens of thousands of rounds before that could happen but still the possibility is slim. Ive had old S&W guns that never broke firing pins however the hammer spurs of a tendency to break if you drop the gun on them. Ive had that happen before but thats the only kind of broken hammer Ive had.

Nice job with the DA shooting. Most people not used to their new revolver, especially with the rear tunnel, will throw their shots low. Looks like Rossi did well with this one

  19. Rich Remaly on March 13, 2023 at 3:09 am

Question if it has a traditional firing pin on the hammer, when carrying ccw do you carrying on an empty cylinder? To prevent unwanted discharges. Due to not using a transfer bar system?

  20. Michael Page on March 13, 2023 at 3:10 am

Great review. That full underlug seams to really tame the magnum loads. Nice

  21. Jimmy Howard on March 13, 2023 at 3:11 am

I’m more an Auto guy but I like Revolvers too, I just think they’re cool lol

  22. Tex 1680 on March 13, 2023 at 3:14 am

the msrp on this rossi is high for what rossi is offering. I mean I know they have to make up for falling short in the gun game but not like that. EAA has revolvers out that are far less than what rossi is asking.

  23. Len S on March 13, 2023 at 3:15 am

In the market for a lever gun in 44 mag. I have a Henry in 357 and wanted to give the Rossi a look, they are less expensive then the Henry, and I was leaning towards it because it would not get a ton of use by me. Do you have any experience with the Rossi lever guns? Thanks for your work.

  24. Wayne Castleman on March 13, 2023 at 3:16 am

Firearms like this put our feet back on the ground after running to 1500.00 dollar guns all the time.

  25. woodstrekker on March 13, 2023 at 3:19 am

    Thanks

  26. Gary Lee on March 13, 2023 at 3:20 am

The only thing I don’t like is how they put the serial number in the side of the barrel and the caliber on the bottom where you can’t see it. Would’ve been better if they put the caliber on the side like most gun companies do and the serial number someplace else.

  27. K B on March 13, 2023 at 3:20 am

    Outstanding Dan!

  28. christopher bishop on March 13, 2023 at 3:24 am

Competitive offering against S&W model 60 3"(if I remember correctly)) I’ve always been happy with Rossi quality…..(see Target Suite for their Lever tools) my Rossi 62 is gorgeous octagonal barrel clone

  29. Miohunter on March 13, 2023 at 3:25 am

Im thinking about getting the 6in model, looks like a really nice gun. Looks like a copy of the older S&W 686. I love the wood grips on a revolver also Dan. Do they make them for this one?

  30. Gerald Bodnar on March 13, 2023 at 3:27 am

    Imagonnagetme1!!

  31. Bob Hartman on March 13, 2023 at 3:27 am

Wow! Glade Rossi is back. Thanks, Dan.

  32. Kev Yates on March 13, 2023 at 3:29 am

    Nice review as always.
    Nice looking revolver:)

  33. NoTimeForThatNow on March 13, 2023 at 3:30 am

I like the looks of this over the SAR with its black accent parts. The solid stainless look is classic.

  34. Kim Morrison on March 13, 2023 at 3:31 am

I like that 3” barrel also the DA pull looks pretty easy from what I saw. Wondering if they offer adj rear sights and fiber optic front as an option?

  35. Leeroy on March 13, 2023 at 3:31 am

Iv got the old 4 inch gun kinda like that made from Rossi I’ve had it 25 years it’s a great gun I’m sure that one is also

  36. Steve Gray on March 13, 2023 at 3:32 am

Does it have the transfer bar that would make for safely loading 6 for carry?

  37. L.A. on March 13, 2023 at 3:32 am

    Nice looking revolver

  38. Darron Fozo on March 13, 2023 at 3:32 am

Nice gun for around 500 bucks !

  39. Davidno1 Minton on March 13, 2023 at 3:34 am

    Cool

  40. charles banks on March 13, 2023 at 3:36 am

Beautiful I have older one. Please make .44 mag next.

  41. Josh Clark on March 13, 2023 at 3:36 am

Great video! I’m interested to see if you’ve found any good holsters or grip options for this revolver, I just picked one up and am having a hard time finding accessories. Thanks!

  42. Andrew Bunch on March 13, 2023 at 3:36 am

LMAO I literally just bought this the other day over a Taurus 605

  43. Blovi8 on March 13, 2023 at 3:37 am

What’s the point of a hammer mounted firing pin vs the much safer transfer bar? Particularly for those who wish to carry this? Limiting to 5 rounds? safely….

  44. Roberta S on March 13, 2023 at 3:38 am

I put vintage Taurus 85 wood grips on my Taurus 605 3". I bet that Rossi has the same grip frame.

  45. Boone Docker on March 13, 2023 at 3:38 am

I like simple. My old Rossi .38 is in my nightstand for 20 years.

  46. Jay Dee on March 13, 2023 at 3:39 am

I’m curious how it compares in size to the Taurus 856 6-shot and 605 5-shot.

  47. Danien on March 13, 2023 at 3:39 am

That is a very nice budget revolver, I wouldn’t mind purchasing one of these. Very nice review Dan!

  48. Martin Phillips on March 13, 2023 at 3:41 am

Can you tell me what the trigger pull is on the double action. I know you indicated the single action was around 6

  49. Bob Johnson on March 13, 2023 at 3:42 am

The "R" stands for something in Portuguese

  50. Pug Honeycutt on March 13, 2023 at 3:43 am

Bought 1 many years ago, only difference was blue, 2in barrel, and the front sight wasn’t interchangeable, and was a great little gun out standing fit and finish, and I loved those grips, fit my hand perfectly. I put glow in the dark fingernail polish on the front sight, worked just fine.
