Love when your wife shoots and gives her opinion!
I don’t always have my nails done like she does but I have small hands and I really appreciate her input.

  2. DH1911 on November 17, 2022 at 9:35 pm

I love Ruger I have the lcp2, max9 security 9 compact all great guns

  3. J. Ward on November 17, 2022 at 9:38 pm

Just upgraded the trigger with Galloway short stroke trigger and traction grips…. Damn, it totally transforms it

  4. Enrique Nadal on November 17, 2022 at 9:38 pm

I got a question how far are you shooting how many feet or how many yard

  5. Duffer Dude on November 17, 2022 at 9:38 pm

Nice gun I wanted to buy one. But in comifornia. There are only I think 3 cow’s that you can get, and this isn’t one.

  6. Hugo Ovalle on November 17, 2022 at 9:38 pm

I just recently got the ruger max9 with the Crimson trace dot already came with the Gun and I am shooting between 50 to 70 yards and is reliable

  7. Enano 521 on November 17, 2022 at 9:39 pm

I just got a shield a week ago and mine came optic ready and might sight’s already on it I payed 549$ for it and I love it I got the m&p9 shield plus pistol 9mm

  8. Franz Isler on November 17, 2022 at 9:41 pm

The Shield Plus 9mm 13 rd. mags won’t even load to full capacity (the maximum I could load is 11). What gives? Another acquaintance has the same problems–on all 4 of his factory OEM 13 rd. magazines! He said he paid $38.99 for the extra mags. And Yes. The slide release won’t work on mine either…even after 400 rds. expended.

  9. Chubby Johnson on November 17, 2022 at 9:41 pm

For guns in that size range, give me the Walther PPS M2 everyday. A couple less rounds, but it’s very shootable.

  10. Pinky's Garage on November 17, 2022 at 9:42 pm

    Good honest review. Thanks.
You referred to the front sight as fiber optic. It is also Tritium, so it glows in the dark. Nice standard feature.

  11. Peter Garm 3rd on November 17, 2022 at 9:43 pm

sorry to correct you but it’s a tritium front sight for night fire

  12. Floyd black on November 17, 2022 at 9:44 pm

These are example of american SHITTY GUNS!

  13. 13 Mike on November 17, 2022 at 9:47 pm

You really need to to make holsters for the Ruger Max 9 man😐

  14. Errol Barnes on November 17, 2022 at 9:48 pm

I try to be honest with my personal review of guns, and I have to be honest with this one. My first time shooting the Max 9 wasn’t impressive, now I don’t proclaim to be some awesome shooter but I’m ok because I practice pretty regularly. I haven’t been to the range in about a month and a half because of a back injury; however, I wouldn’t think my shooting would have been as bad with the Max 9, at 7 yards all I can say is I’m hitting center mass, but to say I had a shot group would be misleading. Pretty much all over the place, except where I aimed. I seem to be pulling low and left a whole lot. The trigger is a bit mushy, probably the worst of all my micro’s. I expected this gun to be snappy being as light as it is, but that really wasn’t an issue for me. But for those looking for a budget gun you might want to think about renting this one first before you buy it. I will definitely need to practice with this one before I use it for edc. My S & W Shield and even my Taurus G3c are way better shooters for shot groups. I like the size an weight of the gun as well as the sights, but for some reason I’m really shooting low and left of my aiming point, and the shot group is terrible. You’ll need to have a good technic to be efficient with Max 9.

I finally pulled out the Shield Plus and Shield Plus 4 inch, took them to range and shot them. Wow, what awesome guns. They make me question my EDC and favorite pistol type of 25-plus years.

Your hand has too longer fingers for this ruger . cause you have very long fingers .. you seem to be a Glock lover anyway ( which I own all and Glocks are pieces of junk . Being Military . I carry my own 1911 ( limited made in 9 mm years ago but far superior to anything Glock makes. Glad my life does not rely on a Glock . Never loved the Beretta 92 but yet better than the Glocks. Most Special Forces team members rather buy their own cause Glocks are still toy Matty Matel plastic toys that are designed for people that Don’t like real metal guns. Look at you videos and you see you fingers are too long for the ruger cause you are shooting with bend of finger instead of ball on fingers , so you pulling right on firing . It’s not made for you but for a correct size hand , you just need a gun that fits your hand and not spend you opinion on guns that are too small frame from you oversized finger length …. Look at your own video . But that’s why they make many guns . Practice still is what makes guns right for example a 2 shot derringer will kill as good as a 45-70 but you need to learn to shoot what ever you use. Proven statistics , more people in world still killed by a 22 size cal than any other round in the world and for hunting more deer are still killed with 30 cal than any other round .. I like your revues but they are to prejudice and favor Glocks, we in military still call them the Matty Mattel toy kids guns .

I was in the market and just picked one of these up for a great deal compared to all of the others on the market. Lots of name brands but every Ruger I’ve ever had my hands on was a good shooter.

  19. crb123ize on November 17, 2022 at 9:53 pm

I’ve had a Max 9 Pro for a few months now with a few hundred rounds through it, great reliable little pistol. Mine came without the thumb safety, I prefer that if I conceal carry. The front sight is fiber optic and tritium. The rear sight is blacked out but has a recessed U milled into it, just fill it in with white or high vis paint it will make lining up the sights a breeze.

  20. D Jay T on November 17, 2022 at 9:53 pm

So many mixed reviews on this gun. Some people say it handles better than hellcat and p365, and gets on target faster then the rest. Then you get others that say it has the most recoil, and is jumpy

  21. Rachelle Johnson-Adams on November 17, 2022 at 9:53 pm

    Lil Mama no joke either.💋

  22. Big Ray on November 17, 2022 at 9:53 pm

    Didn’t enjoy this video

  23. Ridin’ Dirty Outdoors on November 17, 2022 at 9:54 pm

The pro has no external safety. If anyone was wondering

  24. Bruce Banner on November 17, 2022 at 9:54 pm

Kind of goes without saying that it’s too small for YOUR hand

  25. Kevin Pederson on November 17, 2022 at 9:54 pm

I truly appreciate your reviews , even when you don’t necessarily like the aesthetics you point out reliability is good and point out how it may work for someone else’s stature. I also believe that another great thing to point out is the cold hammer forged barrel which is usually not included with lower priced firearms so I commend Ruger on that as well. Great review!

  26. Brandon Rolfes on November 17, 2022 at 9:55 pm

I carry this everyday with the Red Dot and it is an amazing CCW gun. They also make a Maxxis Short Stroke Trigger for the Max 9 that is amazing and inexpensive.

  27. Ru2yaz on November 17, 2022 at 10:02 pm

I just like guns with manufacturer names that start with "S".

  28. Coach Xavier Garcia on November 17, 2022 at 10:03 pm

    I just mine for 350

  29. Al Manji on November 17, 2022 at 10:06 pm

  30. Texas Tater Bug on November 17, 2022 at 10:09 pm

Thanks for this review. They are on steep sales these days and I’m looking for something for the Mrs. I assume you haven’t put 1000 rounds through it because you weren’t a fan, but have you or Mrs. Outlaw picked it up enough to get a sense of reliability?

  31. Tzapore's din Dristor on November 17, 2022 at 10:09 pm

My wife loves watching your wife’s impressions and comments about whichever guns she shoots. No offense dude, but she doesn’t care about yours!😁

  32. Jess Gorman on November 17, 2022 at 10:10 pm

Just got one of these my luck ended with one that has a bad ejector lmao waiting for a replacement.

  33. Kaido Ojamaa on November 17, 2022 at 10:15 pm

Ruger made a mistake by not adding a Rail for illumination devices as well as eliminating the need for a Pin to dismantle this pistol.

  34. Legend Th3 on November 17, 2022 at 10:15 pm

It’s odd my wife always like the ruger over “better” pistol. Maybe it just fits better in smaller hands.

  35. Ole Boy on November 17, 2022 at 10:16 pm

I don’t run optics on my pistols, but it is all the rage now and it’s nice to see manufacturers produce what the market wants.

The Ruger Max9 is a fine little pistol, imo. I know they’re not really considered as “professional” grade manufacturer, but I’d put a Ruger up against anything. I don’t see this as a budge gun at all!

If someone doesn’t want to spend professional grade prices and wants to buy a solid gun made by a company that actually stands behind its products, Ruger is for you.

  36. Nick Mcnellis on November 17, 2022 at 10:17 pm

I hate the trigger on my M&P Shield, it’s cluncky. Trigger on the Max 9 is much better.
I own 3 Ruger pistols a GP100 revolver and a PC 9 carbine and I love them all. They make quality and afforable guns.

  37. madsonic13 on November 17, 2022 at 10:17 pm

The Ruger max 9 is not meant to use 9mm plus p ammo. Will work but is in the manual not to use.

  38. Kwarter on November 17, 2022 at 10:17 pm

Ruger LCP Max review next? 😀

  39. Teen Laqueepha on November 17, 2022 at 10:19 pm

Perhaps your wife should do the reviews… she’s honest and not biased. I wrote you off the minute you stated you weren’t a Ruger guy…. Eh, so then just don’t waste everyone’s time then? I wasted mine watching you. I’ll listen to her unbiased view first, bud. Good video, just didn’t make you look good when she stated it had the same or less recoil for her than it did for you. Good luck with that, bud.

  40. paul boyd on November 17, 2022 at 10:22 pm

Why test fire at 50-100 yards? We buy cc guns for close up . Ridiculous! So tell me what I’m missing please.

  41. E MaK on November 17, 2022 at 10:22 pm

The trigger does NOT suck. Much better than all my glock guns. Bit of a rolling break, but not heavy.

  42. T’s on November 17, 2022 at 10:25 pm

I disagree with your subjective views of the Ruger but as you mentioned, it just doesn’t work for you. Nothing wrong with that. It works from me but I do have smaller hands. I think the fact that your wife shoots and gives feedback makes your reviews much more real world because I too have my significant other train on my pistols. The shield is hands down the better pistol but from a feature/dollar perspective, the Ruger is the winner.

  43. Mister Win on November 17, 2022 at 10:26 pm

I had a Ruger LC9s, the big brother of this gun. It shot +P, the whole barrel fit in my change pocket and it was SO FUCKING LOUD OH MY LORD! Real Noisy Cricket, made me feel like 007 lol. I may look at this one, the double stack might make it kick less in my huge hands, which was my problem with the LC.

  44. Shawn McConnell on November 17, 2022 at 10:28 pm

Getting any reports on ammo hanging behind extractor not going into battery?

  45. Jeremy McIntyre on November 17, 2022 at 10:29 pm

I generally like rugers, they generally cost less and work for a long time with out trouble.

I like this one but at this price I think ya go with s&w or sig.

  46. jpb1231000 on November 17, 2022 at 10:29 pm

I tried to vote for you as best shooter and Reviewer on the Awards you were up for but couldn’t figure out how in 2022!!!
    I’m a little on the "Rural Side"….
That being said, Your wife should be nominated as best Companion/cameraperson/ Support Creator ever….
There are several good ones that come to mind like the Hegshots and that Cajun couple but you guys are the best.
Her female perspectives I’m gonna send to my ex…. She’s a great girl and a NEWBIE to guns so you guy’s might even get me "Back on the Hill"!!!

  47. billredman7025 on November 17, 2022 at 10:30 pm

I have the Max9 and Shield Plus. Like them both but they are definitely different. The Max9 feels better in my hand but the Shield is easier to shoot. So it comes down to preference I guess.

Love your videos….Keep up the good work.

It’s great that your lady is on your videos! Don’t make her mad😁
