NEW: Turn a Metal Block into an AR-15 Lower at Home with the GG3 Upgrade

80% lowers need not apply: In this episode of TFBTV, James Reeves speaks with Cody Wilson about the NEW upgrade to the Ghost Gunner 3 that allows GG3 owners to turn “0% receivers” – regular blocks of aluminum – into AR-15 receivers, and possibly pistol frames and other components. Yes: this means that if you own a Ghost Gunner 3, a software update and a new set of fixtures will allow you to start making your own lowers at home. Cody gives you the details personally on today’s TFBTV ep.

i like what they’re doing, but ill stick to buying the lowers and uppers completed and separate. it’s cheaper and a 4473 takes me 5 seconds and the bg check runs back in less than a second.
rather pay 250 for a completed lower than 150 for an aluminum billet, 100 for a lower kit and 40 bucks on electricity to run this bad boy. then wait 24 hours for it to finish? meh, I’m good, but unless i come into a bunch of aluminum billets for free ill take my chances with the idiots at the BATF.

If the Democratic communist party comes after this it will make the program illegal.

Being an open source code theoretically you could make any type of firearm and slide..I belive so at least.

Such great information! Bummer it has come to this though.

Cody’s main contribution is using this as a vehicle to legally challenge the law.

The lower is a worthless loophole that only works if you can buy the other components that require high volume production in forging, casting, precision machining, heat treating, and materials science.

Unserialized lowers don’t even keep you off the feds list if you purchase any part or ammo from any business with anything but cash. You have to have extreme opsec to not be found by the government.

What is necessary is manufacturers like Palmetto State Armory that build the most useful guns at volume with good reliability and accuracy for a few hundred dollars.

Any barrier in time or money in the procurement of a firearm is taking resources away from training to use the firearm safely and effectively. This makes everyone less safe.

While Cody is doing necessary work, we can’t lose sight of the big picture. We need large manufacturers producing quality firearms and ammo that is affordably and easily accessible to all.

I don’t think that actual makes it a ghost gun cuz the cops can just test the barrel and if it has the right threads then??

is there such thing as a zero Glock frame?

  16. Aviator Gamer on November 22, 2022 at 9:34 pm

Can you use this to mill an upper receiver too? Flat top and carry handle uppers?

  17. 1bornsurvivor on November 22, 2022 at 9:35 pm

That is great news. I can see this product being successful even if the court system kills ATF’s new frame and receiver rule.

  18. dominic p on November 22, 2022 at 9:35 pm

California literally just banned cnc and 0 percent lowers. Insane.

What a beautiful machine, it can carve out spare lowers for time capsule geocaching in case of Gun confiscation. What’s next?, A Solvent trap producing Ghost Gunner?

  22. Sam Stewart on November 22, 2022 at 9:43 pm

hi where can I buy various blueprints/ drawings for an ar10 lower and a 338 lower?

  23. Anacleto Roboris on November 22, 2022 at 9:43 pm

In all these 0% 80% x% parts there is a bottleneck … from where you get the barrel if they start numbering the barrels. That would be the easiest way to stop the self-made gun movement. All parts can be manufactured home: receivers, stocks, triggers, springs…even your ammo. But the barrel manufacturing is another level.

  24. James Yahnke on November 22, 2022 at 9:43 pm

I worked in PRODUCTION CNC machining for 21+ years. I see some Call of Duty commando taking fingers off in that thing.

Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms should be a convenience store NOT a government agency!

  28. paul joey on November 22, 2022 at 9:47 pm

Or u can become good friends with good CNC guy. Hit the button. It’s done in 10. I designed a AR 338LM. Good out to 1600 yds easily with 29" barrel.

  29. Mostly Peaceful Mister Putin on November 22, 2022 at 9:49 pm

What are the exact dimensions of the aluminum block required to complete 1 AR lower?

  30. harveyshot on November 22, 2022 at 9:49 pm

Nice machine but are you making a 3 piece lower? I was on your website and saw the raw pieces being sold. How does it all go together? Is a three piece lower safe? Please explain.

  31. Ngalla Herdman on November 22, 2022 at 9:50 pm

With this game of whak a mole i can only see them trying to ban guns all together

  34. PNF POSSE 123KBABI on November 22, 2022 at 9:51 pm

    Decentralize the ATF

  35. Edward Lance on November 22, 2022 at 9:51 pm

When the administration took up their fight to ban the 80% lowers, my first thought was what are the ramifications for making your own firearms totally from scratch? It’s always been legal to do, but as we all know does have some restrictions attached about selling or giving it away or the like. If they succeed in the ban, does that set a precedent for making firearms at all illegal? Given the government’s penchant for going overboard, it would not surprise me. I just hope anything they do in this regard is challenged and that ultimately the SCOTUS takes up the cause or some judge with some common sense strikes it down. So far, the SCOTUS made a few decisions that make it harder for the ATF to infringe, but I’d like to see some more direct decisions dealing specifically with the firearms issues. Actually, I’d rather see the ATF abolished and the GCA and NFA right along with it, but that’s a pipe dream at this point I think.

  36. Alex Desilets on November 22, 2022 at 9:51 pm

I just want to mill engine component, nevermind guns, I want to invent. The name of this machine is unfortunate, I’m nervous to buy it for use in Canada. I just want to make model engine parts.

  37. Richard Neville on November 22, 2022 at 9:53 pm

When is it possible to purchase

  38. Aaron Nyl on November 22, 2022 at 9:53 pm

oh my gawd so this is what Ghost Gunner is. so basically i can mill out 80% and also MARK them for clone purposes or no?

  39. Allen Smith on November 22, 2022 at 9:55 pm

I’m a democrat but I love 3d printing and making gun parts..and Trump has done more against my gun freedoms than other presidents 🤷‍♂️

  42. Messiax M on November 22, 2022 at 10:05 pm

The upper receivers will also be banned, in this case, the machine becomes useless ???

  43. Frank Courtney on November 22, 2022 at 10:06 pm

Why did voice and sound cut off at 9:54 and then back on at 11:29? And no I did not turn the sound off or unplug the speakers.

  44. NBW DOUGHBOY on November 22, 2022 at 10:07 pm

Damn so you can make 8 receivers a day. That’s wild!

  45. TheBad HD on November 22, 2022 at 10:08 pm

This looks much better than a 3d printer

  46. WT Conroe on November 22, 2022 at 10:08 pm

As a matter of practicality, would soda or beer cans melted down with a foundry & set into a mold to harden & then put into the GG3 work out well?

  47. Crumply on November 22, 2022 at 10:08 pm

lmao finally some good news after the 80 percent ban. this is amazing. The politicians cant ban this because its a cnc machine. this is almost hilarious.
