New Winchester Xpert Bolt Action Rifle [SHOT Show 2022]
New Winchester Xpert Bolt Action Rifle [SHOT Show 2022]
In this episode of TFBTV, Hop is at the Winchester booth to see the new “Xpert” line of bolt actions at SHOT Show 2022. According to Winchester:
“Winchester Repeating Arms continues our rimfire rifle revolution with the new Xpert bolt-action. The Xpert follows in in the footsteps of it’s autoloading cousin, the Wildcat, with bold styling and innovative features that improve accuracy and performance at a price that will leave plenty of cash for ammo or optics.
When designing the Xpert, we put our sights on accuracy and added features to help you get the most from the rifle. Foremost is the new Rimfire M.O.A. Trigger. Like the trigger found in Model 70 and XPR rifles, the Rimfire M.O.A. Trigger is a three-lever design that with zero creep, zero take-up and zero-over travel for a light pull that breaks like glass. The Xpert also features a precision button-rifled barrel with a recessed, target-style crown and semi-match Bentz chamber. A hemispherical firing pin offers improved reliability with rimfire ammunition.
An adjustable rear sight and blade front sight are included, and the steel receiver is also drilled and tapped to accept scope mounts. The controls have been designed to be easy to use for most shooters. The bolt handle is extended, adding extra leverage to make operating the bolt easier. The Safety is tucked into the rear of receiver and within easy reach. Dual, ambidextrous magazine releases on the sides and bottom of the rifle give this shooter options and are designed to deliver the magazine into your hand. The Xpert uses the same polymer 10-round rotary magazine as the Wildcat and also accepts magazines that fit 10/22® rifles.
Neither range days nor rabbit hunts will ever be the same with an Xpert in your hands. The tough polymer stock keeps the weight of the Xpert to a low 4-1/2 pounds, making it easy to aim and carry for most users. The stock also features a steep grip angle that improves finger-to-trigger reach. Need a little extra length of pull or height added to the comb for optics? A length of pull spacer that adds 3/4″ to the stock is available, as is a clip on cheek riser that raises your cheek 1/2″.

The background is more in focus than the subjects for your wide shots. You could narrow your aperture or adjust your focus point.
Great video but when is the rdb s video coming out
What would it take for Winchester to reintroduce the lever action 9422??…..
its just another bolt 22 though. for less i could buy a conversion kit or grab a used rifle that’ll work just as well.
RIP Hop’s eyebrows…
Wait, wasn’t it the Semi-Auto version of these that where wearing out really fast?
This looks like it would be a very sweet addition to anyone’s collection. If I ever want to own a bolt action .22 rifle, this will likely be my choice. 🙂
Finally, an interesting firearm with a fair price
So a ruger american .22
.this maybe my first bolt 22…
Should have a threaded barrel right out the gate.
I can not hear when he said they would be available,,sounded like he said quarter three ,,,but what year is that 2023
What about a 17hmr!!!
What the heck is up with Hop’s eyebrows?
Any plans for a "chasis" style version?
Finally, something im actually looking forward to.
Every time I hear someone call a gun a platform I roll my eyes. I mean I get that you can put different accessories on it but it just seems pretentious.
Junk
There is nothing that makes me click off a video faster than seeing hopp.
I’m glad Hopp lost the glasses
Not bad 319
I’m glad they are eventually releasing a threaded barrel version of this but, it just makes no sense to not have a threaded barrel as standard on a .22lr
I’ll definitely be picking one of the threaded options up when they release, but man did they miss the mark (just a little) on this one.
I was thinking the whole time "If this rifle is over 400$ they literally won’t be able to sell a single one"
Surprisingly the msrp is 319, so I may actually be interested in getting one of these
Think I found my next squirrel gun.
Whoa, I never realized "Ruger like magazines" literally meant "interchangeable compatibility with actual Ruger magazines".
That shifts things for anyone who already owns a 10/22. I’m suddenly glad I never got around to buying a Savage.
😎🇺🇸🔥
semi match sus
great another bolt action 22 rifle like they really need more of those on the market
Been thinking about getting into 22 precision shooting, and this looks like a fantastic entry point
At that price, I need one.
Is this another Turkish made gun like the wildcat with Winchesters name on it?
It’s a 22lr, unless they drop that price a bit, the Ruger, Savage & Marlin $200 or less 22lr rifles is where people are gonna spend their money. I do like the marketing slang, "Trainer Rifle" lol
Like myself. I looked at the Wildcat but went with the Ruger because it was a tad cheaper & has a proven reliability record.
I don’t see a need in having a "long range type" bolt 22lr rifle that your gonna shoot it at 50y or less for over $100+ more than the competition. Just my 2 cents
Yawn
What a great looking rifle
It looks like the bolt has an extra clip you can remove to give it that long bolt throw feel, similar to the Ruger Precision Rimfire.
I hope this one is made in the U.S.A. and not Turkey, like most of their product line is nowadays.
Wth is semi match ?
Should be a strait pull and a take down. Then I might buy 1.
convinced Hop is related to Stephen King in some way, hell even the height alone
Finally someone at shot show that knows their product!
Very interesting
where abouts are they made?
1:31 is all you need to know.
Excellent sales technique
I’m actually interested in this
Nice work Hop, your a busy guy this week!
Why not just release the damn thing with a threaded barrel?
Holy shit! A gun I can afford at shot show 2022??
I thought I would never see it
Well I’ve found my new squirrel gun
Winchester bolt 10/22? So a crappy version of rugers precision rimfire…
You know it very similar to the wildcat if you remember that no didn’t know that I only pay attention to not dying washed up companies
