New Winchester Xpert Bolt Action Rifle [SHOT Show 2022]

New Winchester Xpert Bolt Action Rifle [SHOT Show 2022]

In this episode of TFBTV, Hop is at the Winchester booth to see the new “Xpert” line of bolt actions at SHOT Show 2022. According to Winchester:

“Winchester Repeating Arms continues our rimfire rifle revolution with the new Xpert bolt-action. The Xpert follows in in the footsteps of it’s autoloading cousin, the Wildcat, with bold styling and innovative features that improve accuracy and performance at a price that will leave plenty of cash for ammo or optics.

When designing the Xpert, we put our sights on accuracy and added features to help you get the most from the rifle. Foremost is the new Rimfire M.O.A. Trigger. Like the trigger found in Model 70 and XPR rifles, the Rimfire M.O.A. Trigger is a three-lever design that with zero creep, zero take-up and zero-over travel for a light pull that breaks like glass. The Xpert also features a precision button-rifled barrel with a recessed, target-style crown and semi-match Bentz chamber. A hemispherical firing pin offers improved reliability with rimfire ammunition.

An adjustable rear sight and blade front sight are included, and the steel receiver is also drilled and tapped to accept scope mounts. The controls have been designed to be easy to use for most shooters. The bolt handle is extended, adding extra leverage to make operating the bolt easier. The Safety is tucked into the rear of receiver and within easy reach. Dual, ambidextrous magazine releases on the sides and bottom of the rifle give this shooter options and are designed to deliver the magazine into your hand. The Xpert uses the same polymer 10-round rotary magazine as the Wildcat and also accepts magazines that fit 10/22® rifles.

Neither range days nor rabbit hunts will ever be the same with an Xpert in your hands. The tough polymer stock keeps the weight of the Xpert to a low 4-1/2 pounds, making it easy to aim and carry for most users. The stock also features a steep grip angle that improves finger-to-trigger reach. Need a little extra length of pull or height added to the comb for optics? A length of pull spacer that adds 3/4″ to the stock is available, as is a clip on cheek riser that raises your cheek 1/2″.

The background is more in focus than the subjects for your wide shots. You could narrow your aperture or adjust your focus point.

  2. kent on December 22, 2022 at 12:48 am

Great video but when is the rdb s video coming out

  3. 4catsnow on December 22, 2022 at 12:49 am

What would it take for Winchester to reintroduce the lever action 9422??…..

  4. Exploration Today on December 22, 2022 at 12:49 am

its just another bolt 22 though. for less i could buy a conversion kit or grab a used rifle that’ll work just as well.

  5. MarkAndrewEdwards on December 22, 2022 at 12:50 am

    RIP Hop’s eyebrows…

  6. Curtis Mattingly on December 22, 2022 at 12:51 am

Wait, wasn’t it the Semi-Auto version of these that where wearing out really fast?

  7. Zombie slayer on December 22, 2022 at 12:52 am

This looks like it would be a very sweet addition to anyone’s collection. If I ever want to own a bolt action .22 rifle, this will likely be my choice. 🙂

  8. Shoeless Bandit on December 22, 2022 at 12:53 am

Finally, an interesting firearm with a fair price

  9. 3Eighties Opinion on December 22, 2022 at 12:54 am

  11. Ryan Vargas on December 22, 2022 at 12:55 am

Should have a threaded barrel right out the gate.

  12. bobby green on December 22, 2022 at 12:55 am

  15. Jason on December 22, 2022 at 12:59 am

Any plans for a "chasis" style version?

  16. Izdabombz on December 22, 2022 at 1:01 am

Finally, something im actually looking forward to.

  17. Matthew Franks on December 22, 2022 at 1:03 am

Every time I hear someone call a gun a platform I roll my eyes. I mean I get that you can put different accessories on it but it just seems pretentious.

  18. Daniel Johanns on December 22, 2022 at 1:04 am

    Junk

  19. Andrew Mozingo on December 22, 2022 at 1:06 am

There is nothing that makes me click off a video faster than seeing hopp.

  20. Brian Pritchard on December 22, 2022 at 1:07 am

I’m glad Hopp lost the glasses

  21. Ab Dullah Bin Packing on December 22, 2022 at 1:07 am

    Not bad 319

  22. Kross8761 on December 22, 2022 at 1:08 am

I’m glad they are eventually releasing a threaded barrel version of this but, it just makes no sense to not have a threaded barrel as standard on a .22lr

I’ll definitely be picking one of the threaded options up when they release, but man did they miss the mark (just a little) on this one.

  23. Waffel on December 22, 2022 at 1:08 am

I was thinking the whole time "If this rifle is over 400$ they literally won’t be able to sell a single one"
Surprisingly the msrp is 319, so I may actually be interested in getting one of these

  24. Christopher Ouellet on December 22, 2022 at 1:11 am

Think I found my next squirrel gun.

  25. cymond on December 22, 2022 at 1:11 am

Whoa, I never realized "Ruger like magazines" literally meant "interchangeable compatibility with actual Ruger magazines".

That shifts things for anyone who already owns a 10/22. I’m suddenly glad I never got around to buying a Savage.

  26. Peter Schmidt on December 22, 2022 at 1:11 am

    😎🇺🇸🔥

  27. Big Chungus on December 22, 2022 at 1:12 am

    semi match sus

  28. Steven Holman on December 22, 2022 at 1:13 am

great another bolt action 22 rifle like they really need more of those on the market

  29. MobiuSphere on December 22, 2022 at 1:16 am

Been thinking about getting into 22 precision shooting, and this looks like a fantastic entry point

  30. James Mills on December 22, 2022 at 1:17 am

At that price, I need one.

  31. J Stud on December 22, 2022 at 1:18 am

Is this another Turkish made gun like the wildcat with Winchesters name on it?

  32. Mike Hog A Nator on December 22, 2022 at 1:18 am

It’s a 22lr, unless they drop that price a bit, the Ruger, Savage & Marlin $200 or less 22lr rifles is where people are gonna spend their money. I do like the marketing slang, "Trainer Rifle" lol
Like myself. I looked at the Wildcat but went with the Ruger because it was a tad cheaper & has a proven reliability record.
I don’t see a need in having a "long range type" bolt 22lr rifle that your gonna shoot it at 50y or less for over $100+ more than the competition. Just my 2 cents

  33. Jeff B on December 22, 2022 at 1:18 am

    Yawn

  34. Mankuzos on December 22, 2022 at 1:19 am

    What a great looking rifle

  35. NobleOmnicide on December 22, 2022 at 1:20 am

It looks like the bolt has an extra clip you can remove to give it that long bolt throw feel, similar to the Ruger Precision Rimfire.

  36. D M on December 22, 2022 at 1:23 am

I hope this one is made in the U.S.A. and not Turkey, like most of their product line is nowadays.

  37. ngb802 on December 22, 2022 at 1:23 am

    Wth is semi match ?

  38. Adam Matthews on December 22, 2022 at 1:24 am

Should be a strait pull and a take down. Then I might buy 1.

  39. misfit on December 22, 2022 at 1:24 am

convinced Hop is related to Stephen King in some way, hell even the height alone

  40. Joe Douche on December 22, 2022 at 1:26 am

Finally someone at shot show that knows their product!

  41. Black Tuesday on December 22, 2022 at 1:26 am

    Very interesting

  42. barrymandalow on December 22, 2022 at 1:26 am

  46. Tritech on December 22, 2022 at 1:29 am

I thought I would never see it

Well I’ve found my new squirrel gun

  49. Tracey Evans on December 22, 2022 at 1:38 am

Winchester bolt 10/22? So a crappy version of rugers precision rimfire…

  50. Seth Pomeroy on December 22, 2022 at 1:39 am

You know it very similar to the wildcat if you remember that no didn’t know that I only pay attention to not dying washed up companies
