    👍

  2. David Berry on August 22, 2022 at 7:39 pm

The punch runs at 1240 fps through a 4-inch barrel

  3. ivan meldrum on August 22, 2022 at 7:39 pm

i have a air gun i cpuld dot your eye out with this

  4. MatoNupai on August 22, 2022 at 7:41 pm

I wouldn’t be caught DEAD carrying a .22. Rim fire primers often fail.
Give me a center fire primer EVERY DAY AND TWICE ON SUNDAY!

  5. Danny Smith on August 22, 2022 at 7:43 pm

Federal has be my favorite AMMO!

  6. hernando villamarin buenaventura on August 22, 2022 at 7:44 pm

ER / ICU (former Military) MD here. After some three decades of Medical practice (And as many as a gun.nut), for sure I’ve seen quite a bit of interesting cases. One was a young Agent / 1st Lieutenant who confiscated a large rural estate from a bunch of narcos. Not a year had passed when a couple hitmen shot him SEVENTEEN times with 9mm pistols. Most of the wounds were torso hits, one cranial impact, (NO brain compromise), but, (Thanks our Lord!!), he survived. Most of said crooks are pushing daisies right now. On the other hand, I’ve treated individuals shot w/ .22lr handguns one to several times. As far as I can remember, about 75% of them, went straight to morgue. Probably, the bottom line here is shot placement, which is far from easy when your target is shooting back at you.

I think that Federal Punch in a Sig 322 (with 20 rounds no less) would be adequate to stop anything short of Duane Johnson… Especially if you get a couple of head shots….. I’d be comfortable carrying that unless I was going into a really dangerous area (which I’m not stupid enough to do)….

  8. Perry Judson on August 22, 2022 at 7:48 pm

My self defense gun is a colt 22 revolver it got aguila sniper subsonic chambered in it but the first two shots is cci bird shot as an attention getter if they are still feeling froggy after that got one sniper subsonic if that don’t slow em down one cci stinger to the ribs they better be down cause the last shot is gonna be a hollow point between the eyes cause the last shot is Winchester copper plated hallow point but I feel 50 small holes from the bird shot they will already be done messing around before they get any of the bigger rounds

  9. TB Coach Niblick on August 22, 2022 at 7:50 pm

    What is a STANGER….??🦧

  10. Robert on August 22, 2022 at 7:51 pm

    Thank you Sir

  11. Mark Jackson on August 22, 2022 at 7:52 pm

    — CCI 40 grain domed AR Tactical does a better job with penetration and wound cavity. Not trying to S post, it’s just something worth looking into.

  12. Dennis Graham on August 22, 2022 at 7:53 pm

I Just ordered some of this for my new Taurus TX-22.

  13. 420 for life on August 22, 2022 at 7:53 pm

If you’re going to use 22lr go for the head

  14. A G on August 22, 2022 at 7:54 pm

There seems to be plenty of individuals finding that the Punch/LCPII 22lr is not a good reliable combination.

  15. Martin Heuser on August 22, 2022 at 7:54 pm

My KelTec only shoots 40 gr and up? What do u do?

  16. GunWillTravel on August 22, 2022 at 7:54 pm

This ammo is FINALLY available in Southern California! Just bought a bunch of sleeves down at LAX Ammo in Huntington Beach. Can’t wait to get it down to the range and test accuracy and reliability.

  17. TJ on August 22, 2022 at 7:54 pm

I would like to see the same test but with winter type clothing… more layers to get through until it makes contact.

  18. Metsän Asukas on August 22, 2022 at 7:55 pm

Would have been nice to also take a follow up shot with cci stinger out of the 5.5” Berretta

  19. Kathy Morin on August 22, 2022 at 7:56 pm

Is the punch a better choice over the magnum round

  20. reptilerob57 on August 22, 2022 at 7:56 pm

    they wont ship to nj

  21. Octopus Smasher on August 22, 2022 at 7:58 pm

Penetration and shot placement are more important than wound cavity and energy transfer for handgun stopping power. The FBI has previously stated that penetration is the most important factor in a weapons viability. Federal punch .22lr is definitely a good compromise between hit probability and ballistic performance.

  22. Jeffrey Arflin on August 22, 2022 at 7:59 pm

How does it cycle in the Glock 44

  23. ron garcia on August 22, 2022 at 7:59 pm

What about on a 6.5 Barrell

  24. Omnihil777 on August 22, 2022 at 7:59 pm

Hm. Does that ammo has to be packaged in plastics? Our .22 here comes in paper boxes and cardboard pallettes. Not all, but most. Maybe make a video on environmental ammo?

  25. bman 94 on August 22, 2022 at 8:01 pm

Got some 38 grain Aguila hv hollowpoints, 1280fps. I feel confident they carry enough power, and have cycled well.

  26. Jim Sanders on August 22, 2022 at 8:01 pm

Personally, I carry a G43X, with 147 grain Federal HSTs. However, in my opinion, there are 2 absolute "true-isms" about CCW.
1.) A hit with a .22 is better than a miss with any larger caliber, and…
2.) ANY gun is better than NO gun!!

  27. Misha Gofman on August 22, 2022 at 8:02 pm

Had a problem with feeding – TX 22 – tried couple mags – same.
Does anybody have any idea why?

  28. Keith A. Williams on August 22, 2022 at 8:02 pm

    Good video for punch research.

  29. dtcb1 on August 22, 2022 at 8:03 pm

disk golf has to be more fun than real golf.

  30. Stephen Martin on August 22, 2022 at 8:05 pm

I won’t make fun of you for playing disc golf, but I will make fun of you for getting injured while playing disc golf.

  31. John A on August 22, 2022 at 8:05 pm

What’s are the top 22 pistol caliber carbines to consider?

  32. Barry Haugen on August 22, 2022 at 8:06 pm

One year past review: Have you had a chance to shoot this ammo through the new Volquartsen ENV-6 or ENV-9? I’d be interested in your opinions. Thanks

  33. Steven Rowinski on August 22, 2022 at 8:08 pm

Why not just go with a .22 mag.?

  34. Turf Surf on August 22, 2022 at 8:09 pm

    This or 22mag?

  35. antb2u on August 22, 2022 at 8:09 pm

You said temporary wound cavity on your first shoot. What’s that meen, only temp till it heals up!!

  36. Tony Lam on August 22, 2022 at 8:09 pm

Is there a reason when they design the magnum, they had to make the case diameter just a bit bigger so regular 22LR is not recommended with the same gun, it is annoying, and it add to the lack of standarization in this whole field.

  37. Clayton Gross on August 22, 2022 at 8:12 pm

I’m sorry but how do you almost break your hand from throwing a frisbee??

  38. shawn shipstad on August 22, 2022 at 8:12 pm

The CCI Stinger are wicked as well. Stingers are rated (As stated on box) at 1640 fps @ 32 Grain.

  39. Harold Littell on August 22, 2022 at 8:14 pm

Is it just me or did the CCI Stinger have damn good temporary wound cavity? That’s what I saw.

  40. Steven Mitchell on August 22, 2022 at 8:14 pm

Have you tried the 60gr sub-sonics? I got 12"-14" penetration in gel from a Ruger MkII and 10-22. I have them loaded as self-defense rounds in the backup to my backup. Your results echo almost exactly my results. .22 rimfire is a lot more deadly than most people are aware of and your results show it.

  41. rbrtck on August 22, 2022 at 8:15 pm

The CCI Velocitor has superior short-barrel performance in ballistic gelatin in the tests I’ve seen. It gets 16 inches of penetration with little or no expansion, and also performs well out of rifle barrels, with about 10-12 inches of penetration plus good expansion.

  42. Grayson Savri on August 22, 2022 at 8:15 pm

I wonder if they will ever make a pistle with 17hm2 for self defense

  43. Gregg Wonder on August 22, 2022 at 8:17 pm

    👍🇺🇸🌴

  44. Lance M Hillier Sr on August 22, 2022 at 8:19 pm

Great video – and thanks for the gel test!

  45. Wesley Ahrendt on August 22, 2022 at 8:19 pm

Stingers to me are shot shells, why not compare a 40gr8. Velositor they are accurate at a 100yrs target also!!! Enjoy!!

  46. The177Hunter on August 22, 2022 at 8:22 pm

Funny thing is I literally just bought two of the guns you used in the video. Just got a Ruger lcp II and the Beretta 92FSR

  47. summers9911 on August 22, 2022 at 8:30 pm

Love the creepy music during the slo mo lol.

  48. bmxbeemer80 on August 22, 2022 at 8:31 pm

I was hoping to see 30 rounds squeezed off quick out of a PMR-30

  49. David Colwell on August 22, 2022 at 8:33 pm

Lol! A CCI guy saying there isn’t a good option for 22 self defense ammo until now. Sorry…had to say it!

  50. Dan Meek on August 22, 2022 at 8:35 pm

I have a spinal cord injury, and I cannot point a heavy weapon without experiencing severe pain. The 22 is the only weapon that I’ve been able to extend in a firing position comfortably. And I am very accurate with it
