classic hi point for u two shot the jam
did you tap the mag ???
I’ve had days like that :^)
It was a simple triangle file. I lined up the factory mag with the ProMag and started filing, a little at a time, with the fine side of the triangle file. Doing a little at a time allowed me to reach the necessary height while keeping the same angle profile of the factory mag. The angle profile is all-important so be certain to keep an eye on that.
@bfriendly100 when you get a chance fix your account so others can reply to your comments without having to do it this way, lol! anyway, now about your comment, i am so grateful you were worried about my hearing & care about my well being, lol!!! you mentioned of learning something, would it be people like you have nothing else to do than to point out if shooters are wearing ear protection or not, lol!
Without the Pro Mag magazine, the Hi-Point 995TS will never misfeed. Ever. Always use the factory 10 round magazines.
What is the forward vertical grip you are using?
God damn this guy is a total fucking asshat
My promag magazines work well: https://youtu.be/671oIQHShsE. Not sure why they don’t work for the 9mm.
do they have any other extended clips that I can use for my 995 outside of this crappy 15 round mag…I saw somebody with a 30 round mag
what abput the drums. ive seen on the handguns wi carbine accept??
Just so everyone knows, the Pro Mag 15 round magazine will void the warranty on the 995TS. Take it back to the store.
I’ve had to tweak colt 1911 magazines. They work fine now. Be prepared for any field expediency or face capture. Time out is for non combatants. It doesn’t end well, I hear.
Simple fix would be a better video. After all, we pay good money to not know how to fix anything. It’s easier to describe failure in a safe environment. Respectfully?
At least the "haters" are watching. Anyhow, people hate on Hi-Points as well. I have a 995TS I bought a couple of years ago…I have shot it a bit and have had no issues at all with the factory magazines. I’d be interested to know how as the years went on, what your feelings were in regards to the ProMag 15 round magazine. Any updates?
Why is everyone hating on this guy? I’m here because of his review on the 995ts, not his ears, sweat, glasses, or chairs in the background.
Nice, bang bang bang,it’s a great piece of artillery, price has jumped up since I got mine, but will purchase a second.
this guy reminds me of tiny from devil’s rejects
I just ought one of these and yes is says in the manual not to use the pro mag 15 rd aftermarket magazine or it will void the warranty
Theres a paper in the box that says using promags voids all warranty
I’d rather have 10 reliable shots rather than 15 janky ones
There’s now an approved third-party magazine, the Red Ball 20-round for $24.95
hi pounds don’t like hollow pounds either.
It voids the warranty. Check your paperwork with gun.
I just bought two pro mags for the hi point 40 S&W carbine (new) and neither of them worked in my gun.
Says right in the paperwork that using promag highcap mags will void the lifetime warranty. Smh
I guess you know you voided your lifetime warranty on your 995TS ..seems like a stupid action to take..I man for a mad that jams 100 % OF THE TIME ACCORDING TO YOUR TEST
I still have videos from the last time I was shooting at your place I need to edit and upload….lol
BUY THE REDBALL 20 ROUND CLIP >>DIRECTLY FROM HI-POINT >>>WORKS FLAWLESSLY !!!!!!!!
I have owned hi points for some time now.
The springs in the magazine have to be worn in.
What I do is spray some wd-40 on the spring and then load it with ammo.
Let it set for about a week like that. Then remove the ammo.
No use a dowel or stick and push down on the spring a few times.
Reload and shoot.
It makes a big difference, never had one jam since I have done this.
This vid got a lot of traffic! I still need to give you some reloads for that gun.
@Ron Bruce that’s what i’ve been hearing {8^D
This was the very worst review of a magazine I ever wasted time to view.
He did this with crappy case ammo, If he did it with any Brass ammo the results would probably be a lot better.
Let him do it over again using "BLAZER BRASS" with the actual "BRASS" cases and see how the magazine functions.
Plus, Putting 16 rounds in a Magazine that is designed for 15 rounds was not a good thing to do when reviewing an item.
I have a Glock magazine for my G-19 that hates that stupid aluminum case ammo and just gives problems but work fine with Brass case ammo.
Try this again with Blazer Brass or any Brass case ammo.
afew too many unneeded attachments for a pistol caliber rifle, I got a 995ts. I just put a cheap foregrip and reflex sight, took of the old iron sights. guns only good for bout 50 yards for decent grouping.
I just bought one of these and it states these mags voids the warranty. That sucks, you got a lot of stuff on that gun.
Thanks you help me in two ways the mag and the aluminum ammo I just brought some aluminum ammo and I haven’t tested it yet . So thanks for the video
Ok its nine years later. How does it work now?
Is that an overturned couch in the overgrowth behind you?
Are you a hoarder?
you just voided your warranty
it says do not use the pro mag in the warranty card
Pro mag isn’t recommended by hipoint….voids warranty
Hi-POINT NOW SELLS A 20 Twenty ROUND CLIP DIRECTLY ON THEIR SITE …. PRO MAG GARBAGE BEGONE .. I ORDERED TWO AND BOTH WORKED FLAWLESSLY WITH DIFFERENT TYPE ROUNDS THROW-OUT THOSE PRO_MAG warranty voiders !!
I have the .40 version of this rifle. I have two ProMag 15 rd. mags. Both gave me trouble until I noticed the colored plastic tab in the front of the mag sits higher in the ProMag than does the one on the factory mag. Having little to lose I filed one of the ProMags down to the same dimension…took about 5 minutes. Result…perfect feeding and no ejection problems. Using ProMags does void the warranty according to info sent with the rifle but I’ve had no issues whatsoever with the ProMags after having addressed that colored tab issue. I’ll keep the ProMags and trust that l’ll have no problems ’cause the rifle is working flawlessly.
Welcome to the world of the voided warranty. Or didn’t you read the instruction manual?
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UotrPIfEhZY
IF you had read the paperwork from the manufacturer, you would have known that using the Promag mags VOIDS your warranty and can damage the feeding ramp.
It’s NOT the firearm.
enjoy voiding your warranty with that mag
Glad you put some ears on man. I’ve only ever fired my Mosin Nagant M91/30 without protection and a 12 gauge and that was enough for me to never try it again
I have a Hi Point 995 with 3 factory mags and I’m considering the ProMag 15. The only failure I ever had with factory mags, with the exception of once, was with aluminum or non-brass ammo. Still won’t stop me from purchasing the ProMag15.
Hi -point don’t recommend primary mags
do you have better luck with Blazer Brass? I have had very good look with BB.
if the feed ramp in the weapon gets messed up from using pro mag magazines it will void the weapon warranty. use at your own risk.
I heard if you use a high capacity mag it fucks up the gun. True?
