I have two Spectrums, both with over 3,800 rounds and still running smooth. Once I received Galloway Precision’s captured guide rods, it eliminated my only complaint with the Spectrum. I’ve got 500 rounds with them. One of the two is my preferred EDC every day. Fun to shoot and very accurate under 10 yards.
They are nice looking to me they sound nice when fired i fired one nice recoil feels good in hand just wish people stop down grading the firearm if it penetrates then you figure out the rest guaranteed 9 10 or 11 inches enough to kill
My sister got this and we probably shot around 15 rounds and now the magazine slides off and doesn’t lock
My Spectrum weighs 11.7 ounces with the empty 6 rounds magazine inserted. How come?
I have a Spectrum and a LCP…I prefer the Spectrum due to the full double action trigger and last round hold open. Both are great ccw options 😉👍
Talk about field stripping and the spring so hard to reassemble
Good basic spec review but needs more on reliability and firing.
Horrible pistol! Not a fan of Taurus , I’d rather carry a hi point
Great little gun for the most part, love mine. About 1,000 rounds in and a few issues I’ve found:
– Not all ammo runs smoothly. You need to experiment with different brands. It seems steel case has the most problems.
– With a 8.5 lb double action trigger, rapid accurate fire is pretty difficult. The trigger reset is almost all the way forward.
– I had a few jams when the magazine springs were new, but just on the first round of a full magazine. You have to break them in.
– About 2% of the time I also have light primer strikes, no particular ammo associated. Being double action, it pretty much always fires on the second try.
They seem to be the kind of gun that every few batches has a stinker.
Getting mine tomorrow! Yeah baby, Sportsman’s Warehouse.
Don’t do it.
Shoots 2 out of 6 rounds. Sent back to Taurus twice and still has jams !
Planing on getting one when things calm down. Taurus makes great guns. Cheap and dependable.
Nice little gun bought 1 for my wife about 2 years ago and I just got me one to Carry I. My pocket when jogging or walking. Small light and effective
I put the Viridian red dot laser on mine.
All that talk who cares about color combination price price price
How in the world do you order this thing in the cool custom colors ?????
Seems like a budget version of the Ruger LCP.
Carry mine on the ambulance
