👍👍👍👍😊😊😊
George, I couldn’t see the gun up close. Have you added the Marbles Bullseye rear sight to that Rossi as well?
i have a large parlor gun collection (22 plinkers) and several small and medium caliber lever guns including previous mentioned Taurus 357/38 stainless lever. My dream find is an Israeli Arms 357 pump but prices went through the roof
My brother has this .357 in stainless steel and it’s a carbine. He shoots it every weekend, I shoot it sometimes too … but i have a Henry Big Boy Brass Carbine in .357.
Thanks brother! Another good time was had by one and all! 🤓🤓🤓
God bless all here.
Damn George! I’m zeroed in with the pitiful front blade and buckhorn rears. I tested it out in the backyard recently but I gotta conserve ammo because this stuff is nearly impossible to score here Upstate New York. It still remains loaded with two 357 and still hoping to have the balls to use it during November deer season but I know my 1959 JC Higgins 308 deer gun will be knocking.
Great certificate. No coffee lover can be all bad. You handled the Rossi very well. Perry P. , Southern California
If I were to have only one gun I would keep my Rossi r92 tripple black 16 barrel 38/357. It’s awesome. Out of the box.
The "Rube Goldberg" approach… I like it! I like the gun as well. It’ll be interesting to see what load you develop for a 24" .357. Thanks, George.
I have three lever action rifles. Marlin .357, Chiappa .357, and Henry .22. I have really come to love the lever action and I expect I will buy more.
I’ve got the longer octagon barrel stainless version you spoke of. They make a custom mount so you can mount optics so I put Vortex Sparc II on it and it’s amazing what accuracy it delivers out past 50 yards. Highly recommend for us more seasoned gentlemen…..
Hmm Interesting haha
I’m a member of the "44 Club" too.
I have a mental list of amazing things from my childhood that I would love to find again. Wonder what happened to all that stuff…?
Looks like you had fun there. Always a treat to see one enjoy the unique design of a levergun.
The Rossi with the case hardened frame, nosecap, and curved buttplate along with the octagon barrel (20") is a favorite of mine. Perfect balance and with some moderate handloads in 357, I can stand at 75m on my range and smack the 10"x10" plate with ease. Excellent rifle. Many a feral hog and coyote have fallen to the 92.
I hope you find your 24" model.
When you buy your first lever gun you’ll get the bug. You’ll soon have one in several calibers.
The guy at leverguns 50 is extremely fast. I’d love to see him and Muselic (?sp) go at it. That would be some shooting.
Have you had any hiccups with that 92 since you’ve had it? I’ve seen sights over the years that said they did have some problems. Looks like a fun gun. I like the .357/.38. It would go good with my revolver. I agree with your coffee choice.
Can we get a ladder sight for these , just for fun.
Great video,, 👍
My right ear 👂enjoyed all of it
Sorry to bother you with another comment but I was wondering if your glasses are specific for shooting? My eyes are giving way a bit but I love open sight shooting so I’m going to look into glasses to help me shoot open sight. BTW I do where reading glasses but they’re no good to sight a target. Cheers.
I had one in .45 colt– 20 in . barrell– and big loop lever and set screw like the RIFLEMAN– flipped it with either hand and rapid fired it from the hip- with a 2 inch grouping at 75 yards.. THAT was therapy for me.. had to sell it to help pay medical bills (got mashed between two trucks- cost me evrything).. want another one one of these days.
I’ve been looking for a certain 357 for over 30 years now and finally scored it today. A Colt Trooper Mark 3 to go with my Marlin 357. I’ve always loved the 357 and can’t believe I finally found the one I’ve wanted for so many years.
You are a bad influence on me. I’ve been watching the vids… I own a twin of your 20" carbine there but mine is chambered in 45 Colt and I use it for CAS. I’ve been looking at a .357 but have held off as the only ones I could find available were stainless steel. Those are cool but I’m just a blued steel kinda guy for a traditional firearm design like the 92R. So what happens? Bud’s adds 24" rifles to their inventory…. so I finally broke down and ordered a .357 Mag R92. I’m hoping that the wood and fit and finish are as superb as my carbine’s because it’s excellent. Thanks as always for a great review/range fun vid!
i have the 357 stainless but is made by Taurus but think it is same as Rossi
Don’t feel bad……mine spits a round out the loading gate now and then!!
Great little rifle for the money I have one in 45 long Colt love it good video 👍
Fun. Never gets old. 👍
I’m here to the 11:59 mark.
Looks like a good day right there!
Loved the video, and the honest coffee story.
oh man nothing beats a dripper sir i have a 20 cup that i use great vidio love that gun
Enjoyed the video. How fitting that a Miele coffeemaker ad was one of the ads in a brief break in the video! ☕️ Cheers from a fellow coffee lover. 👍🏽
Love your intro "Make a grown man smile". I just recently found your channel. I am also a fan of the lever gun. Keep up the good work.
Hurray! Congrats I too am a coffee lover…………
Honest coffee and .357 what a great combo!
Now that I know the "secret", I will have to change the way I try to hit the targets
Thanks for posting your video on the Rossi R92. I’ve had mine several years and enjoy shooting it. Handgun rounds are much less costly compared to centerfire rifle cartridges.
I have the ss version. Great gun. Almost can’t miss at reasonable distance.
Love this 😁😁😁👍👍
Watched with a cup of real coffee! I don’t have the certificate but I do feel I belong 😂😂. Cheers!!
Oh! see my previous comment! Bud’s has the 24" octagonal barreled model in stock – blued or stainless – your pick – but act fast bc you know they can sell out quick…
Hey George, just thought I’d share some info. I have the Rossi 92 with 16” barrel and got an average velocity of 1820 fps with the Cast Performance 180 grain gas check bullet using Lil Gun. Just thought I’d share.
Just ordered one today. For the money these rifles seem so well made.
Pretty quick is right! The more you shoot, the better you get, George. That steel target range that you’ve set up is a winner. Been watching Jeremy over at Leverguns 50 for quite some time now. More plinking sessions on your steel like that and pretty soon you’ll be giving him a run for his money 🙂👍
Good video, very relaxing way to spend some time. I love the 357/38 combo in my Rossi 92 and New vaquero and my Ruger Securty Six, plenty power when needed and great plinking and small varmint removal from the 38.
Another great video, George. My Rossi 92 in .357 is one of my favorite rifles. It has an action job from StevesGunz, and is buttery smooth. Great kitchen plaque. Isn’t it about time for some more harmonica?!
Im wanting that in a 45colt stainless on walnut. Just cant find it below $700
I am terrible when it comes to cleaning my firearms. I will go shooting or hunting and put my firearm away and then totally forget to clean it for God knows how long. I’m downright shameful about it. But I have owned a Marlin 336C since the mid 1990s and so far so good. I remember asking the guy working in the shop "what’s a fast shooting rifle I can treat like crap?" I’d like to get my hands on a Rossi 92 in 357. I wonder how much crap it can take.
I can’t help but wonder what some Buffalo Bore 180 grain hard cast ammo would be like out of a 20" Rossi. Might be a good hog load….
Buckeye shooting sports has a octagon barrel rossi r92 24" barrel right now for $784.99 but its in 44mag, I’ve been looking for 1 as well, they’ve been close to or over $1,000 😵💫😨 for that price I’d get a Henry bigboy steel side gate
I just picked up a Rossi model 92 .357 mag today. I didn’t know until I was reading on the Rossi website. They make a 92 chambered in 454 Cassull now.
