I would bring this to the attention of the manufacturer demand a refund and a replacement firearm free of charge and believe me it would only be in their best interest to retool and use steel and set it at garbage metal pot metal junk
Saw an advert in one of my subscription magazines for Rossi’s gallery gun and immediately became excited, having fond memories of fairs & circus’s in my youth (50s & 60s) of shooting gallery guns at balloons and small targets. Set my mind to buying one. Your two videos and Santaroga Surplus’s video, "Rossi Gallery Gun 22 pump cracked receiver" on Youtube have convinced me to pay the extra $200+ for a Henry .22 pump. I can overlook some finesse but not poor quality to the point of being unsafe.
Quality control what Quality control. Some idiot actually inspected this. I have both the plastic stock and wooden stock versions. I haven’t had a problem. But that’s ridiculous shipping a rifle like that. Are you able to take it back to where you bought it or shipping it back.
I think your rifle was dropped muzzle end first at some point or damaged in storage or shipping. The ejector "defect" you point out can’t be substantiated because you never actually fired the rifle.
I bought one of these a year ago and it’s got to be in the top ten of the many .22s I shoot.
Also for those having feeding issues, work the action briskly and with a decent speed. Slowly cycling the action is a main cause for failure to feed. Keep it clean and oiled. I know mine runs great and very accurate.
I hope your new one runs better.
I just got one of these and the front sight is a 1/2 inch off center. The dovetail was cut that way and they just pressed the sight in anyway. Its going back.
I bought one over a year ago. I shoot it all the time runs great, after a 1000 rounds the forearm screws came a little loose so I hit all the screws up with a little blue Loctite still runs great. After 1500 rounds. Hope you got the problem resolved.
Hi, I just purchased a Rio Bravo lever actin Rossi. Took it apart today to clean and lube before our first outing. Had the same crack on the same part. Had to return it to the shop and looks like 4 weeks for a repair. I did call Rossi and the service rep opened a ticket from my S/N to help speed it up. Now I’m wishing I purchased the Henry 22.
Many many thanks for taking the time to inform us as to the garbage that lurks within the Rossi! I was all set to buy one before I saw your video. … Not gonna happen now! I’ll just stick to my Cooey repeaters….

The old term for the alloy you are looking at was ‘pot metal,’ as in metal with such a low melting point you could work it in a cooking pot on a stove. Difficult to justify using pot metal in a firearm, sheesh!
Trash just get a Henry or something else rossi is fucking junk
i really like the normal rossi bolt actions but when it gets more complicated i dont trust rossi anymore

Rossi has always been hot garbage. Disgraceful to put out a product that poorly manufactured.
Rossi; synonymous with quality🤣
