Dry firing a revolver with a hammer-mounted firing pin will ultimately break the firing pin. Use snap caps and your gun will not break. I’ve had three Rossi revolvers and I don’t dry fire any of them. You know how many have broken their firing pins? None. Zip. Nada. Zilch.

Your Rossi will be totally reliable if you remember this. The gun is superb, especially the older model. Mine has a 3-inch barrel, stainless steel, never been fired. I had one just like it that I fired +P ammo through and it had zero problems. Wonderful gun!

I had 2 of them i had that model but with a 4" barrel and a high polished stainless steel with a 6" barrel I sold the black one still have the 6" one never had an issue with mine they were both .357 magnum. I have heard some pretty bad stuff from my local gunsmith he’s repaired at least 6 from the firing pin and says getting parts from rossi took 9 months to get the pins he keeps them in stock now but damn that sucks but at least you got it back quick bro

Dude learn how to give a presentation…to many "YOU KNOWS" and studdering. We dont need to know everything about what you did with it.

  4. Daniel Schumacher on November 4, 2021 at 9:24 pm

I have one of these. Never had any problems until a few weeks ago. When I went to empty the rounds they would stick and not come out. Even when I push that thing to make them come out.

A gun enthusiast that has trouble with his own guns?

  7. J Scott Upton on November 4, 2021 at 9:29 pm

Let me guess. You dry fired it.

  8. Joel Towle on November 4, 2021 at 9:30 pm

Parts break! Even the best firearms break. I have the Rossi in SS and it works great! The biggest thing is not to dry fire a Revolver with I firing pin on the hammer.

  9. Bryan Martin on November 4, 2021 at 9:32 pm

Dude it a six shot police positive and that is a 4 in barrel and the rossi is 2 1/2 inch you don’t know much im stopping the video

  15. MontanaMountainMen on November 4, 2021 at 9:39 pm

  20. 1957Shep on November 4, 2021 at 9:40 pm

Some people have not had good luck with Rossi revolvers.
I like the one I have. But it`s a model 720 which is a much heavier made gun.
That Colt Police Positive is a beauty.

  21. moofushu on November 4, 2021 at 9:46 pm

This might be a perfect gun you might consider leaving in your car. I know you wouldn’t leave the Colt in your car and that might be the reason the Rossi will be there for you if you didn’t expect it.

  22. TheDaedalx on November 4, 2021 at 9:47 pm

this was a four minute video stretched out way too long.

  23. jtankersley7 on November 4, 2021 at 9:50 pm

First 3 minutes…"I’m gonna tell you what I’m gonna tell you what I’m gonna compare this with"
    Holy crap.

  24. steelgila on November 4, 2021 at 9:54 pm

Those grips you have don’t look bad on that Rossi (if you don’t find any wood). Did you ever check on line for factory wood, or after market grips? Hey if your dry firing for hand practice get some Azoom snap caps too save your firing pin

  25. Jorge Sanchez on November 4, 2021 at 9:56 pm

I’m gonna tell you what I’m gonna tell you! Its loaded and ready to boom! …But first I’m gonna compare.. And that’s why I don’t like it..

  26. Tom Ritter on November 4, 2021 at 9:57 pm

hey brother got googled lost your sub I’m back atb …..tom

  27. J P on November 4, 2021 at 9:59 pm

Maybe under Taurus their quality has gotten better, but the best way to use an old Rossi is as a shiny paperweight. I’ll never own another Rossi product. They must have had quality issues with heat treating of metal parts. Ones I’ve owned would wear fast and break often.

  28. Elijah Jones on November 4, 2021 at 9:59 pm

How the fuck are you going to compare a Rossi to a Colt

  29. Tom Ritter on November 4, 2021 at 10:03 pm

man!!! miss my Colt 38 it was accurate piece

  37. maseta3 on November 4, 2021 at 10:05 pm

you could have more but you haven’t been playing as long. I was jumping out of airplanes with the 82nd when you were jumping out of the school bus lol

  38. Christopher Bojanngles on November 4, 2021 at 10:06 pm

Nice Colt, I have no dealins with Rossi, but I place them in the same category as like Taurus and Charter Arms. I have a couple of Charter revolvers and with the quality they can either by hit or miss.

  39. Mackie Jin on November 4, 2021 at 10:09 pm

All those real shit are with *cashmain on Wickr* I just got a fucking glock 19x from him

  41. Que Jones on November 4, 2021 at 10:10 pm

what kind of ammo can I use in the Rossi can I use the 38+p

  42. Dogbreath on November 4, 2021 at 10:11 pm

Robertson’s Trading Post in TN has wood grips for it.

  43. Michael Gardberg on November 4, 2021 at 10:12 pm

I bought one used. After 20 rounds the firing pin broke. I dry fired it around 5-10 times also while practicing with it before I took it to the range. Otherwise it shot nicely. I like the grip. I’m going Smith and Wesson. Like you I can’t recommend this gun.

  44. dkruitz on November 4, 2021 at 10:15 pm

3.5 minutes in and you’ve only indicated they’re "good grips", but you dont like how they look…. moving on, sorry.

  45. derplinkster on November 4, 2021 at 10:16 pm

Your Colt is beautiful nice i like them all you own glad they fixed yours  thanks for sharing .i own a Charter Arms snub nose love it stay away from Blazer .38 special aluminum cases you fire them some bullets get loose from shooting not pressed in the case to good so the barrel does not turn for nxt shot crazy .but suggest  use brass only thanks.

  46. Doc savage on November 4, 2021 at 10:17 pm

i have a 357 Rossi by Taurus…im hoping the firing pin breaks so i can replace it with a better harder one that won’t!!!!-
