Rossi Single-Shot 22 Rifle Sight-In (pt. 1: Open Sights)

Just a range session with my Rossi break-action .22 / 410 combo fitted with the rifle barrel. Iron sights at 25 yards. Nothing special, just enjoy the show. Took me a while because they were so far off to begin with.

I just pulled the trigger & ordered the Rossi R223HBS full size rifle for $159.00 with Free Shipping, no tax & no credit card fees, how do you beat that? I was going to buy the Rossi .243 rifle but that ammo is damn expensive like $15 to $35 for 20 rounds. I can get Tulammo .223 from Walmart for $5.39 a box all day long.

I bought the same gun, Rossi matched pair. Got mine in 2004 and paid $99. Mine had the wood stocks. I’ve shot both and the wood is kinda neater than the plastic stock. Just my opinion. My Rossi from Dick’s Sporting Goods was full of grease. I also had to add a few inches to the length of pull as it was too short to comfortably shoot. I do like the .410 barrel. It hits dead center where I place the bead front sight and mine is modified choke. A terrific deal for $99. The safety on this gun is fool proof. It works great. An excellent STARTER gun for a young’en. Heck I’m 65 years old and I enjoy shooting this Rossi. I grew up in Brooklyn, NY and guns were a big no, no. I didn’t start owning firearms till I was 30 years old. You need a long gun permit in NYC to purchase and own a rifle or shotgun. Don’t even ask about buying ammo there!

That was my first gun and still my favorite gun. Out if curiosity at 100 yards without taking wind into account do you have to aim up and to the left about 12-14 inches off target? When I was 10 i remember holding a 3 inch group with that little gun at 100 yards when the wind died a bit.

Wow, your sight-in video somewhat paled when you showed the aftermath of that fire… I haven’t experiensed that, but it’s my worst nightmare. I give them my sympathy and im glad no one got hurt.

Best sandwich in the world. Caraway rye bread with mayo, mustard, lettuce, cucumber, tomato, cilantro and sobeys in house smoked honey ham. Now the thing is that you never have enough cucumber so get you another cucumber in one hand and the sandwich in the other and work it back and forth. Delight of taste buds.

Why wouldn’t you want to hunt with it? It would make a great squirrel rifle.

Can you fire 22wmr out of the Rossi?? I can’t find a video on YouTube with someone trying to shoot 22 magnum out of this gun

  23. Randy She on October 22, 2022 at 10:03 pm

Just wondering WHY the rear sight would be mounted so far forward?
