    Nice Ruger and scope!

  2. Jeffrey Locke on January 26, 2023 at 1:24 am

A BFR 44 magnum with a BFR Bisley grip frame is a good one and comes with a free spinning pawl set up from the factory. A 500 JRH is a good caliber choice for a BFR also.

I love big frame big bore Ruger SA’s. I don’t like optics of any kind on mine though. KO’d 2 hogs last fall with irons.

Had two over them and after shooting a 44 Model 92 Trapper take down, I easily dumped the two revolvers because of the unnecessary weight, much much slower velocity and the take down allowed the Trapper to fit into a small sling pack. I am sure this guy will turn this one faster than he can spin that cylinder.

I have same in 45Colt. (Handloader here) Awesome gun. Aimpoint, Red dot on mine.

I used to kind of thumb my nose at the .44 Mag after I started shooting 500 Mags, but I’ve come to enjoy the fact that it’s just a lot easier and cheaper to shoot than the 500. And you can get ammo anywhere.

I’m gonna try to get a deer with my Super Redhawk 44 this year and see how it does.

  10. Benjamin Henry on January 26, 2023 at 1:33 am

  11. Dog House Outdoors on January 26, 2023 at 1:33 am

I hunt with a muzzleloader cva v2 pistol and i did years ago get me into bow. I did go all the way with my longbow and recurve.

  12. Jeffrey Locke on January 26, 2023 at 1:34 am

Get a free spinning pawl and outfit that Super Blackhawk with it.

  13. Mr Gunner on January 26, 2023 at 1:36 am

I’ve got that with the bisley grip and absolutely love it! Not overly large, but big enough to tame any .44 mag load. Dead on accurate!

Is the scope Stainless or just a nickel finish or something. Either way bad ass dude.👍🏼

  18. Clifford on January 26, 2023 at 1:43 am

Muzzleloader is another option that gets you closer to bow hunting also. It’s another great season that allows you get more practice in before graduating to bow. I got a CVA MRX specifically for this purpose because I eventually want to be a western bow hunter

  19. David Curry on January 26, 2023 at 1:45 am

  22. Tim Knaur on January 26, 2023 at 1:48 am

can’t hit with that either get a scatter gun

  23. tyler pellegrini on January 26, 2023 at 1:50 am

You dont have to hold the hammer in a half cock position with this revolver to spin the cylinder. You just open the loading gate

  24. Jake Dugar on January 26, 2023 at 1:51 am

Chuke, the Super Blackhawk Hunter is a fine weapon. Mine has killed several big Kansas whitetails and a few Oklahoma hogs. Handgun hunting is hard to beat. Welcome to the fold.

  25. Dan O'Neill on January 26, 2023 at 1:51 am

That is the single action I would want a Redhawk looking barrel good hunting gun only need 1 good shot

  27. Ryan Hartman on January 26, 2023 at 1:52 am

I have a 44 model 29 8 3/8 barrel. Plan to take a deer this year with it.

  28. James Pugh on January 26, 2023 at 1:52 am

Very good choice chuke . My dad 44mag long barrel with a red dot sold for a 338 win mag that brother has. That 338 taken tons of deer here in one bear that got stolen when dad in Canada 🇨🇦 hunting it shame some would do that that guid told dad that long time ago. Dad got 4570 lever gun in 308 know.

Another option is a muzzleloader will do same a pistol or a bow give you longer hunting season and same range. Good inline hard to beat iv taken my biggest pa buck to-date with one in firearm season.
Also hunt crossbow here bc leagal for all to use. Gave compound to my nice

  31. Pat RMG on January 26, 2023 at 1:55 am

I owned one of these in 2003. Had a bad wreck, resulted in bone chips in both wrists. Couldn’t stand to shoot it any more.

Now, I’m all healed up by a long shot and I wish that I had never traded it off.

    The Ed bassmaster comments 🤣

  37. Gorilla HD on January 26, 2023 at 1:59 am

That is a really good looking revolver Chuke. I have bowhunted for the majority of my life but I found I like handgun hunting a lot more. I use iron sights so I am usually 50 yards and under.

  38. Joe Dart on January 26, 2023 at 1:59 am

Buris and Ruger ..what’s not to love? 👍

  39. David Weikle on January 26, 2023 at 2:02 am

*Fallout: New Vegas* has a plethora of weapons, including several wheel guns like this. You can make some modifications to most weapons, including adding a scope. Thanks for the video!

  40. 123idreamjeannie on January 26, 2023 at 2:03 am

Chukes going full on apocalypse cowboy lol

  41. 123idreamjeannie on January 26, 2023 at 2:04 am

Doesn’t Ruger make a 10mm revolver? Maybe just a dream lol

  42. Darian Dunn on January 26, 2023 at 2:04 am

#1. If you are filling the freezer, then you are filling the freezer. Just write it off that you will bring a rifle that can maximize your advantage. After you get your first animal, then you take the bow and "hunt".
#2. The video game reference is probably "Mad Max Road Warier" The Humungus, reference. He pulls out a 44mag and put one round in and … Worth watching if you haven’t seen it.
#3. I somewhat agree on the gun, but … I have the 629 and the more I look into it the more hunters are using a reddot. I am testing a Holosun with the circle and dot on a G20… I highly recommend the ugly glock for where you are in the world. It is less than the big 44mag, cost, weight…but it is also more in mag capacity and probably robust ness and self care to keep it running in harsh climate.

  43. Steve on January 26, 2023 at 2:10 am

I’d like to get one to go with my Henry big boy in .44 mag.

  44. Infrared Survival on January 26, 2023 at 2:11 am

I’m the opposite. I’ve been bow hunting and now I’m about to get one of these before getting a rifle hahaha… nice review mate!
    Cheers 🍻

  45. Les Sage on January 26, 2023 at 2:14 am

got that one sir love no scope on it you will love it

  46. Jeffrey Locke on January 26, 2023 at 2:16 am

The rigid frame and cylinder pin keeps the gun true and firm.

  47. Dan O'Neill on January 26, 2023 at 2:17 am

Greetings Earthlings !!! Rubber grips would be good in non stop rain …..

  48. Big Racer on January 26, 2023 at 2:19 am

Run a red hawk with a loup. I been using mine wrong! Use mine at 100yd or better. Dang it!😜

  49. brazzy146 on January 26, 2023 at 2:20 am

I just got my grandfather’s Ruger Super Blackhawk .44 mag from my Dad. Well because my eyes are getting bad I put an RMR on mine. I liked the pistol scope that was on it but it wouldn’t be quick enough for wild hogs here in Arkansas.
