Kel-Tec had the P11 in 1995, the P32 in 1999, the P-3AT in 2003 and the PF-9 in 2006
Ruger came out with the LCP in 2008, 5 years after the P-3AT. Sig came out with the P365 in 2017, 11 years after the PF-9.
The Sub-2000 came out back in 2001, the KSG in 2011
I got a Max 9 and my aiming sights glow in the dark I like it.
Got one today on sale at Cabela’s for $399.
I wonder of they have the same mag followers as the LCP 380. Those sre cheaply made & didnt lock the slide back. Had to have ruher send new mags & those arent much better
Mine didn’t come with a 12 round 😞🤬
Really nice video. Do you review mc2sc?
Are there extended mags for these bro?
P365 is king still. Did it first, did it best. Just got my Glock 43x MOS that’s a hell of a gun for holding 16 rounds, but my p365 I will never sell. Perfect summer carry
A Blue state gun (10 rds) at a Red state low price?
Great review. Definitely on my want list.
I will stick with my Glock 26 with the plus 2 .not a bad pistol though
How is the finish on the slide holding up?
I might have went with that one….but that pin 📌 that falls out…. why have one little part like that, which can super easily be Lost? I Bought the Hellcat OSP, instead. Shield + would have been cool, if it were OSP optional.
I like the Taurus gx4 better than the Ruger Max 9 it just fits in my hand better
How do you make the 10 round mag hold 12 rounds
never train 2 guns with 1 with safety and 1 without. You will get screwed by it when you need to use it for self defense.
Note : the sig 365 is 12 + 1 with flush fit mag .. available with 15 + 1 extended mag .. I know I know I do a double take evertime I load the 12 rounds in mag
The very best reviews
I enjoyed watching your video.
Curious > about how Ruger EC9s came later as a more affordable little less on features but almost the same as the"LC9s" > I’m wondering if Ruger might do the same concerning the Ruger Max-9 > like come out with a little less featured economy version maybe a Ruger Max-9e???
Great review. Thank you.
This is literally a badass double stack LC9s 2.0…same internals in the slide, FCG, slide cover plate, barrel, takedown pin…all of thats the same, just different slide/grip molding and better mag. Which is EXACTLY what ive wanted for a while!
One of the coolest pistol by design.
I wish they continued production of the SR9c but i guess evolution favors the masses . This will due as a suitable replacement eventually.
Comment from the other side of the pond, from Germany: Especially with such sub-compact striker-fired pistols, a manual safety is essential. This additional "dingus" in the trigger can never replace a manual safety. In Europe, too, the term "Glock leg" is now known for shots in one’s own leg with striker-fired pistols without a manual safety. Every long gun, regardless of caliber, whether repeating or semi-automatic, whether rifle or shotgun, has a manual safety. But with the pre-cocked striker-fired pistols, which are more dangerous due to their shortness and handiness, it is believed that a manual safety can be omitted…
In Germany, this danger has now been recognized and almost only the versions of sub-compact striker-fired pistols are offered, that have a manual safety. If the manual safety is placed well for the thumb, it is not a problem at all. With appropriate practice, arming the pistol before firing is an automatic action – my own experience with the SigSauer P365 MS. And that’s why only buy the Ruger Max 9 with manual safety for your own safety and that of others!
General kudos to Sootch00: Compared to the mumbling, gibbering and slurred speech of some other reviewers in American gun videos, it is a real enjoyment for a foreigner to hear Sootch00’s precise, clear, accented and always understandable language and diction! Thank you!
Try placing your index finger at the front of the trigger guard and making a fast move to the trigger to fire. The trigger will lock due to pressure on the trigger before the drop safety. IMO needs adjustment.
Seems like Kel Tec is a decade ahead of the industry
From the pocket pistols, to the PCC, to the Bullpup shotguns
Kel-Tec is really leading the way with innovation
So with that being said, I expect every gun manufacturer to be making copies of the P50 and CMR30 very soon
I think it has the best trigger of all of the micro 9’s.
trigger looks like a toy and the blacked out rear sights…. just can’t do it
The biggest mistake Ruger made with this excellent pistol, is the lack of a Rail for an illumination device.
Now that’s a review! Thanks so much
Another micro 9 I am going to buy in the future to add the collection of Canik Tp9 Elite Sc Cz P10s Sc and Mp Ez 380. Great video review. Good reviews as always.
That combination front site is winner for me..
I have the shield plus and Taurus gx4 and gx4xl. I put the flat dark earth max 9 in layaway can’t wait to get it out but will be a month or so.
Im in Australia. Have been wanting to shoot this gun since it came out 🙁
One of the coolest pistol by design.
Love mine, I got the pro model and the lcp max too
Thanks for the review. Another key element is the price point. I just picked one up at sportsman’s warehouse for under $400.00.
Can senior citizens with arthritis rack the slide?
Looks like Robbie could use some Trigger Training 🤔
I have not seen someone literally Slap a Trigger like that in a very long time😲😬🤣
Can you do a video on the Taurus G3CP optics ready
Honestly, I don’t give a flip what you prefer about safeties. That just tells me you have been Glockerized.
I just purchased this yesterday. I held all its competitors. I do have big hands and will be using the extended magazine that comes with it. The others I held were the p365, the hellcat, cz subcompact, m&p, and even the Taurus I forget the model number. The Ruger felt the best I like the sights on the hellcat the best but my local gun shop since I’m a regular got me out the door with the Ruger with the halosun 507k for the same money as the hellcat. I thought I did a good deal and the gun feels great in my hand
Best pistol I’ve owned. Got a Crimson Trace Laserguard and Crimson Trace CTS-1550 Ultra Compact Reflex. For the 10 round magazines I swapped in the Garrison Grip 1.25" Extension.
MAX 9 👍. Also EC9 👍
If you find your pinky hanging below the magazine, just curl it underneath. It is actually pretty comfortable provides very good support for better shooting. Something we learned when the Clinton Assault Weapons ban led to the introduction of the "baby" Glocks with their ten rounds (or less) magazines, and before pinky extensions became popular.
WOW I have had one like this for 10 years…. GLOCK 26…. everyone else is late to the party.
Picked up one today and ran a 100 rounds through it. love it.
I watched a bunch of videos on this gun your video was the best one out of all them for me thanks
This or sig 365?
You just convinced me to get one of these. Thank you.
